  • While use of a pet bottle with use it is light recently and convenient increases quickly, it is used from the child, also diffusing the user to a pet bottle to people of various classes, such as an old person, a woman, a male, the man in the street, and a disabled person. However, those who are standardized on the basis of the common man with the plan energy of a pet bottle, and cannot attain to the standard, That is, a child and a disabled person may be condemned to the vague situation that a lid cannot be opened or a contents thing cannot be drunk without external help. And the characteristic of a material and production which are called PET Even if convenience is emphasized for the cost reduction of COST, a design is chosen easily, and even if it calls it the man in the street, the point of coming to experience a situation with the difficult time of use can be found well. In research of a book, problem derivation which classifies entering school and a preschool man-and-woman child for a child drink for an object first by the viewpoint of universal design paying attention to such problems, and leads the actual use example of a pet bottle was carried out in true heart, and various notional approach was shown by the solution method.

  • In spoken language research, transcription process needs to be carried out to translate voice data into text. Transcription tool, support program of transcription, offers various information such as content and time of utterance and speaker information. For this reason, inexperienced computer users are having trouble familiarizing with the program. Moreover, since there are little transcription tools developed domestically in Korea, they are usually not suitable for Korean environment. In this paper, we propose a transcription tool which supports not only Korean transcription but easy-to-use interface environment for novice. The transcription supporting function is also provided to minimize mistake that might happen in the process of transcription. And a system structure will be provided for data reliability. Usability of the proposed tool is evaluated in accordance with transcription experience. The evaluation result shows that transcription process and transcription support function have become faster and more convenient respectively.

  • As the importance of knowledge management is being recognized, there is a significant amount of increase for interest in data warehousing. On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) systems can effectively make use of data warehouses. Although there are many commercial OLAP products, they have been developed without any kind of standard resulting in poor data exchange and difficulty in interfacing among the OLAP products. In this paper we propose an OLAP metadata interchange model that can be used among different OLAP products and have implemented an OLAP metadata interchange system that can interchange the cubes created from the metadata. XML is used for the OLAP metadata model and the user interface is Web-based, which makes it easier to interchange metadata among different OLAP products. Users can experience the different analysis environments of different products without the need to learn the complex cube creation process for each product. By extending this research to design a common query language that can be used among OLAP products, OLAP products should be able to more easily talk to one another.

  • Dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP (DASH) is the most recent and promising technology to support high quality streaming services. In dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP (DASH), a client consecutively estimates the available network bandwidth and decides the transmission rate for the forthcoming video chunks to be downloaded. In this paper, we propose a novel rate adaptation algorithm called quality of experience QoE-enhanced adaptation algorithm over DASH (QAAD), which preserves the minimum buffer length to avoid interruption and minimizes the video quality changes during the playback. We implemented a DASH test bed and conducted extensive experiments. Experimental results demonstrate that under fluctuating network conditions, QAAD provides seamless streaming with stabilized video quality while the previous buffer-aware algorithm (i.e., QDASH[9]) frequently changes the video quality and undergoes the interruption.

  • Mobile network is used by many users worldwide for diverse services, including phone-call, messaging and data transfer over the Internet. However, this network may experience massive damage if it is exposed to cyber-attacks or denial-of-service attacks via wireless communication interference. Because the mobile network is also used as an emergency network in cases of disaster, evaluation or verification for security and safety is necessary as an important nation-wide asset. However, it is not easy to analyze the mobile core network because it's built and serviced by private service providers, exclusively operated, and there is even no separate network for testing. Thus, in this paper, a virtual mobile network is built using OpenAirInterface, which is implemented based on 3GPP standards and provided as an open source software, and the structure and protocols of the core network are analyzed. In particular, the S1AP protocol messages captured on S1-MME, the interface between the base station eNodeB and the mobility manager MME, are analyzed to identify potential security threats by evaluating the effect of the messages sent from the user terminal UE to the mobile core network.

ELECTRICAL GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT (EGSE) DESIGN FOR SMALL SATELLITE

  • This paper describes EGSE design for the small satellite such like KOMPSAT-2 satellite. Recent design trend of small satellite and EGSE is to take short development time and less cost. For this purpose, the design for KOMPSAT-2 satellite and EGSE are not much modified from KOMPSAT-1 heritage. It means that it is able to be accommodated the verified hardware and software modules used in KOMPSAT-1 satellite program if possible. The objective of EGSE is to provide hardware and software for efficient electrical testing of integrated KOMPSAT-2 satellite in three general categories. (1) Simulators for ground testing (e.g. solar-simulation power, earth scenes, horizons and sun sensor). (2) Ground station type satellite data acquisition and processing test sets. (3) Overall control of satellite using hardline datum. In KOMPSAT (KOrea Multi-Purpose SATellite) program, KOMPSAT-2 EGSE was developed to support satellite integration and test activities. The KOMPSAT-2 EGSE was designed in parallel with satellite design. Consequently, the KOMPSAT-2 EGSE was based on the KOMPSAT-1 heritage since the spacecraft design followed the heritage. The KOMPSAT-2 baseline was elaborated by taking advantage of experience from KOMPSAT-1 program. The EGSE of KOMPSAT-2 design concept is generic modular design with preference in part selection with commercial off-the-shelf which were proven from KOMPSAT-1 programs, flexible/user friendly operational environment (graphical interface preferred), minimized new design and self test capability.

  • A web based virtual try-on provides customers a more enjoyable shopping experience that visualize clothes on personal mannequin. The researchers compared virtual fitting models which were developed in 2000 at Korea and in 2000 and 2002 at U.S. The results of this study as follows: The information about user's body size was required to input for selection of a virtual fitting model. 7 to 19 different body size, shape, and face features including weight and height were needed for visualizing virtual fitting model. The body type of the U.S virtual fitting model(My virtual model) was selected by front view silhouette for women, and by shoulder width and midriff silhouette for men. The more detailed information was required for developing Korean virtual fitting model. The additional body size information required in the site were leg and arm lengths, waist length, and thigh and ankle circumferences. The body proportion of Korean cyber personal mannequin was longer and narrower than the U.S cyber personal mannequin. It was recommended that standardized body length, width, and depth proportions calculated from national anthropometric data must be applied for developing Korean virtual fitting model. With application of more detailed information on face feature and advanced graphic image technology the 'My virtual model in 2002 resembled the human body shape of various race.

Content Distribution for 5G Systems Based on Distributed Cloud Service Network Architecture

  • Future mobile communications face enormous challenges as traditional voice services are replaced with increasing mobile multimedia and data services. To address the vast data traffic volume and the requirement of user Quality of Experience (QoE) in the next generation mobile networks, it is imperative to develop efficient content distribution technique, aiming at significantly reducing redundant data transmissions and improving content delivery performance. On the other hand, in recent years cloud computing as a promising new content-centric paradigm is exploited to fulfil the multimedia requirements by provisioning data and computing resources on demand. In this paper, we propose a cooperative caching framework which implements State based Content Distribution (SCD) algorithm for future mobile networks. In our proposed framework, cloud service providers deploy a plurality of cloudlets in the network forming a Distributed Cloud Service Network (DCSN), and pre-allocate content services in local cloudlets to avoid redundant content transmissions. We use content popularity and content state which is determined by content requests, editorial updates and new arrivals to formulate a content distribution optimization model. Data contents are deployed in local cloudlets according to the optimal solution to achieve the lowest average content delivery latency. We use simulation experiments to validate the effectiveness of our proposed framework. Numerical results show that the proposed framework can significantly improve content cache hit rate, reduce content delivery latency and outbound traffic volume in comparison with known existing caching strategies.

Lightweight Framework For Supporting Mobile Web Development (초고속 모바일 웹 개발을 위한 경량화 프레임워크)

  • Mobile web applications are being used and changed rapidly due to the growth of mobile device performance. But, cost of development environment and standards make the high development cost and low productivity. It is main reason that the design and implementation of the applications are more time consuming than general computing environments. In this paper, we propose MWeb(MobileWeb)-Framework based on the agile methodology and Ruby on Rails that is a kind of framework for supporting mobile web application development using mobile web standards. This work consists of the mobile web development architecture and agile process model. MWeb-Framework will support the same user experience to the different devices. We validates the framework by implementing the case studies through suggested mobile web development framework. As a result, we can develop the mobile web applications with productivity and quality. In the future, we will suggest how to make the MWeb-Framework standardization and practically apply the frameworks the various case studies to improve framework potentially problems.

Exploring Recipients' Experience with the Home-based Rehabilitation Program Based on CBR Model through In-depth Interviews

  • Purpose: This study was conducted in order to explore self-perceived objectives, effects, determinant factors of satisfaction and demands on home-based rehabilitation service (HBRS) based on a community-based rehabilitation (CBR) model in community-dwelling disabilities. Methods: This research was conducted through in-depth interview. HBRS was conducted by four physical therapists for one hour a day, once a week, for eight weeks. After an eight-week intervention period, in-depth interviews were conducted using a semi-structured questionnaire for five recipients of HBRS and six care givers. Results: For the physical effect, some participants experienced positive effects, whereas others did not due to the short-term intervention period. For the social and emotional effects, 'occurrence of motivation for exercise', 'change of surroundings' and 'sorriness for the therapist' emerged as keywords. For the determinant factors of satisfaction, 'movement-inducing therapy', 'therapy from the specialist', 'development of friendship & social network', and 'learning the way of self-rehabilitation' emerged as keywords. For further demands on HBRS, participants stated that 'sufficient time for therapy', 'user opinion-reflected therapy', 'additional instructions for therapeutic exercise & activities of daily living', and 'active promotion for HBRS' were necessary. Conclusion: Participants were satisfied with the physical, social, emotional, and educational aspects of HBRS. In particular, the participants regarded educational aspects as the significant factor throughout self-perceived objectives, determinant factors of satisfaction and the demands. This result suggests that when providing HBRS to community-dwelling persons with disabilities, therapists should recognize the necessity and significance not only of the physical, but also the educational aspect of HBRS.
