  • Backgroud : Now a days, most studies for professional voice user have been performed after artificial voice abuse without consideration of environmental and personal factors, and occupational specificity, therefore those studies have some problems. Objectives : To make a basic guideline for the management of untrained professional voice user, practically we ananalyzed the voice of experimental group. Materials and methods : Just after working, the sustained vowel sounds of the 15 female telephone operators (subjective group) and the 20 normal female persons (control group) were analysed, using a history paper, acoustic analyzer and videostroboscopy. Results : The most common symptom in subjective group was dysphonia. Stroboscopic findings in subjective group were as following ; posterior chink 11 cases (73%), incomplete closure 2 cases (13%), anterior chink 1 case (7%). The mean maximal phonation time in telephone operators was 12.8 seconds and in control group was 16.8 seconds. Jitter, pitch pertubation quotient (PPQ), shimmer and amplitude pertubation quotient (ASQ) were significantly increased in subjective group than control group, but there is no difference between two group in fundamental frequency and noise to harmonic ratio. Conclusion : Untrained professional voice user needs professional career guidance and counseling. And when we manage the untrained professional voice user, we should consider specific occupational, personal and environmental factors as well as laryngeal factors.

  • This study is to investigate and analyze the service quality and satisfaction perceived by users and librarians of the Foreign Research Information Center (FRIC). The survey results reveal that three groups of in-campus (internal) user group, external user group and interlibrary loan librarian group has highly perceived the service quality and satisfaction of the FRIC. Two user groups have statistically significant different perceptions on the service quality, loyalty, and satisfaction. Internal user group perceived more highly than external user group, in 6 items of satisfaction, 1 item of loyalty, and 7 items of service quality. Structural equation models of satisfaction and loyalty on two user groups were proved to be appropriate. Material factor including success rate of copied text and general physical status of the copy influences significantly on the user satisfaction in both groups.

  • One product has so many different kind of user groups and each user group has different characters and needs of use. So, designer has difficulty in definding which group is major or sub in a product, what kind of characters and needs does that group has. In this study, we classify the user upon three factors ; accuracy of rules, speed of action, speed of problem solving and propose design guideline for the classifed user group. The results of this study will be applied to more user-friendly design approach.

  • It is very important to identify useful web user group and induce their behavior pattern in eCRM domain. Inducing user group with a similar inclination, a reliability of user group decreases because there is an uncertainty in online user data. In this paper, we have applied the 2-tier clustering, which uses the outcome of interaction with data from other tiers. Also we propose a method which induces user behavior pattern from a cluster and compare C4.5 with our method.

  • Recently, there are many user selection algorithms in multi user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) systems. One of well-known user selection methods is Semi orthogonal user selection (SUS). It is an algorithm maximizing channel capacity. However, it is applicable only when user's antenna is one. We propose a generalized user selection algorithm regardless of the number of user's antennas. In the proposed scheme, Base station (Bs) selects the first user who has the highest determinant of channel and generates a user group that correlation with first user's channel is less than allowance of correlation. Then, each determinant of channels made up of first user's channel and a user's channel in the generated group is calculated and BS selects the next user who has the highest determinant of that. BS selects following users by repeating above procedure. In this paper, we get better performance because of selecting users who have the highest determinant of channel as well as allowance of correlation optimally calculated through matrix operations.
