Objective: This study is to review the current state of services offered to pharmacy users, and develop a service design converging a prescription service and a smart phone application service in order to enhance patients' experience at pharmacies and home. Background: Under the new medical system; separation of prescribing and dispensing drugs, a doctor writes a prescription to their patients and patients have their prescription filled at the pharmacy. As the number of flue, allergy and atopy patients has increased, waiting lines have been longer at pharmacies. Besides, the current medical service system lacks of providing proper information on prescribed pills to patients. There are already services offered during waiting times such as offering free drinks, magazines or suggesting general drugs which you can buy without prescription, however they neither cover the current medical service's shorts nor shorten the waiting time. Method: I researched objective and perceived waiting times reduction methods, the current service status at pharmacies, and the government's policy direction in a medical service. Also, I observed a patient's journey from the hospital to pharmacy and then home. I examined the circumstance at pharmacies, patients' behaviors and their thoughts during their journey, and extracted three main goals to design a service in order to help patients have positive perception during the waiting time; (1) to reduce the perceived time by the way of visualizing time and offering readings about what patients consider necessary, (2) to educate patients what they are into and how to get through, (3) to establish trust among patients, doctors and pharmacists. Based on three goals, I designed a structure and a wireframe for a new service application of smart phones. Results: With a new service design for pharmacy users, users can track their medical record and visit the information about their current medical treatments anytime. Also the service helps patients build reliable relationships with doctors and pharmacists. Conclusion: Experience is not just an activity but series of multiple activities. The serving range of a medical service should not be determined by stakeholders but user's holistic experience. By approaching a service design with a holistic vision, it can enrich not only a temporary experience but also a whole life well being. Application: Since there are already many service applications advising patients about their illness and finding right doctors, this service design is focused on the experience from getting a prescription till feeling better. The next move is to combine those two parts medical services and design an integrated service application. As a prescription is going to be coded in numbers, we might consider to design an un-attended pharmacy which can shorten huge amount of time for filling prescriptions.
In order to implement a smart factory for manufacturing innovation, more digital twins will be developed and applied gradually. In particular, simulation and optimization of digital twins makes it possible to support critical decision-making like a predictive maintenance of the equipment for manufacturing. In terms of a user perspective, this study suggests the conceptual framework of Digital Twin Management System (DTMS) for supporting the analytical and managerial activities for Digital Twins. We integrate the methods and structure of the area like Manufacturing Engineering, Decision Support Systems, and Optimization for developing the DTMS. The framework suggested in this study shows a typical DSS which consists of dialog management system, model management system and data management system. It also includes Analytical Digital Twins and simulations & optimization module. The framework is being applied in one of the most competitive and complex industrial sector. Also this study is meaningful to suggest a new direction of research.
Many users visit websites every day to perform information retrieval, shopping, and community activities. On the other hand, there is intense competition among sites which attempt to profit from the Internet users. Thus, the owners or marketing officers of each site try to design a variety of marketing strategies including cooperation with other sites. Through such cooperation, a site can share customers' information, mileage points, and hyperlinks with other sites. To create effective cooperation, it is crucial to choose an appropriate partner site that may have many potential customers. Unfortunately, it is exceedingly difficult to identify such an appropriate partner among the vast number of sites. In this paper, therefore, we devise a new methodology for recommending appropriate partner sites to each site. For this purpose, we perform site clustering from the perspective of visitors' similarities, and then identify a group of sites that has a number of common customers. We then analyze the potential for the practical use of the proposed methodology through its application to approximately 140 million actual site browsing histories.
The need for personalized recommendation is growing due to convenient access and various types of items due to the development of information communication and smartphones. Weather and weather conditions have a great influence on the decision-making of users' places and activities. This weather information can increase users' satisfaction with recommendations. In this paper, we propose a collaborative filtering-based place recommendation system using living index by utilizing living index of users' location information on mobile platform to find users with similar propensity and to recommend places by predicting preferences for places. The proposed system consists of a weather module for analyzing and classifying users' weather, a recommendation module using collaborative filtering for place recommendations, and a management module for user preferences and post-management. Experiments have shown that the proposed system is valid in terms of the convergence of collaborative filtering algorithms and living indices and reflecting individual propensity.
With the rapid progress of the aging society in Korea, the silver generation is emerging as another class of users in the new population structure. This is a social issue to be dealt with, and the effect of such a change is being observed dearly in the design area. In addition, there are increasing demands for consideration of minor groups of users including the elderly, the disabled, the left-handed, children and pregnant women and nursing mothers, who have been treated as the weak. Such a human-centered idea may be the manifestation of the recovery of humanity and the self-realization of human beings through experiences and reflections of the industrial society of the past. The present study examined the tendency of design standardization centering on universal design, which has emerged in response to user-centered social needs, and suggested general considerations for the necessity of introducing such standards. These days the meanings of standardization are not limited to quality, performance, safety and economic aspect. Standardization is required to consider the diversity and the welfare of human beings. In addition, one of the important functions of standardization is to provide designers with important clues and guidelines for designing. In reality, however, standardization has been rejected by the circle of design for the reason that it deters free creation, so research on the introduction of standardization has been at standstill. As ISO/IEC Guide71 was published in November 2001, based on which, the Korea Standards Association established KS A ISO/IEC Guide71 without changing its contents. In companies' manufacturing activities, the progress of standardization in connection to universal design is growing more important. However, usefulness and interchangeability for the absolute majority resulting from standardization are incomparable. Lastly, the realization of universal design requires human-centered design mind, based on users' experiences and needs, the characteristics of the human bodies and inconvenient elements rather than standards for the sake of standardization.

The paper describes a case study in which Sungkyunkwan University Library participated in the official ARL(Assoication of Research Libraries) LibQUAL+ evaluation program. LibQUAL+ model is based on the SERVQUAL service quality evaluation model originally developed in the marketing area. It details a number of processes including translation of the LibQUAL+ survey instrument into Korean, selection of study sample and choice of survey versions. In addition, it offers a number of strategies that can be adopted in order to analyze the survey data for various comparisons among different user groups and institutions. LibQUAL+ is more that a survey instrument; it a holistic system for assessing library service quality. Despite criticisms on LibQUAL+, we expect that university libraries in Korean will benefit from participating in the program. It is preferable that a group of libraries form a consortium to participate in the LibQUAL+ program as opposed to individual participation. The consortium can function as a learning community through various workshops and sharing activities, thus elevate the overall evaluation efforts in Korean libraries to a higher level.
Today's public libraries in communities are on the processes of changes to integrate information and communication technology into traditional library system in order to support current users' demands for the new digital era. The purpose of this study is to examine the changing characters on space design and space uses of community based public libraries by conducting case studies of three branch libraries which were built after 2004 in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the United States. As the conclusion of this research, the findings of the case studies are utilized as basic data for planning and design guidelines for public libraries as community resources. The study summarizes the characteristics of space design and space uses in public libraries as follow; first, the floor plans of small-scale public libraries are open visually as well as spatially. The space organization of the libraries is arranged by potential noise levels, as placing noisy spaces near the entrance halls and quiet spaces at the back. Main book shelves are located in the middle of the library buildings, while seats are arranged along the window sides. By placing various kinds of furniture in open reading areas, library users can select different types of seats and tables for their comforts. Second. the survey of observation also finds that a large number of users often use library computers and personal computers to connect the internet at the libraries. These personal computer users who are new user group in community based libraries preferred to sit in casual study areas and individual tables with one or two seats only. Third, the libraries, in addition, develop and provide various programs and events for people in communities. Especially, the programs for children, the elderly and new comers from the abroad are well prepared, thus provide opportunities for them to visit the libraries in regular bases. The survey finds that family entertainment and leisure activities are the important parts of the program as well as renting music CD and movie DVD are also important reasons for people to come. Thus, the libraries prepare high quality children's space and CD shelves near the entrance hall.
Busan Citizen Park has been taken as the research object in this paper to learn about the categories and types of resting facilities such as seats and Pergolas in the park and analyze the visitors' use patterns of bench and Pergolas. In addition, the analysis of the cultural features and preferences of bench and Pergolas will provide the basic data for the future design of resting facilities. After the research on the categories and types of bench and Pergolas and the evaluation factors through literature surveys, the type, location, and number of resting facilities including bench, Pergolas, sheds, etc. in the entire park have been investigated through field surveys. In addition, the behavioral map analysis has been created through the observation of the use patterns of bench and Pergolas in the morning and afternoon of each month, and the degree of preference and satisfaction of park bench and Pergolas has been grasped through questionnaires. The research results are as follows. Among the ten types of bench and Pergolas, the citizens like the mats and awnings + mats best. The environment is the most important factor for the mats with highest score, followed by the functional and regional factors. In addition, various activities such as eating in mats and sheds that block sunlight are Korean use patterns, which is very common in Korean daily life. These results show that bench and Pergolas in urban parks are not placed arbitrarily and the layout and design of bench and Pergolas should be completed based on behavior and preferences, which are influenced by cultural characteristics.

The purpose of this study is to identify and improve the satisfaction of people attending the Jeju International Wind Festival, the representative festival in Jeju. The Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival is a festival in which people communicate with each other through music. The objective of this study is to investigate user satisfaction of the International Wind Ensemble Festival and to make improvement plans. The average satisfaction rate for the event was 75.8% (Satisfaction + Great satisfaction). In addition, the average program level of the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival and average appropriateness of the event space were 86.9% (Satisfaction + Great satisfaction) and 85.2% (Satisfaction + Great satisfaction), respectively. The disadvantage is that public transportation that should be improved. According to results of the survey through the interview, the town wind ensemble festival and outside concert enabled performers to communicate with the audience through melody. In order for the Jeju International Orchestra Festival to take root as a festival for citizens, it is necessary to increase the convenience of transportation, secure personnel in charge of the secretariat, revitalize the Jeju International Orchestra Festival website, and promote volunteer activities. We present future research direction.
Software, once developed, has a long life and evolves through numerous additions and modifications because of the faults, the changes in user requirements, the changes in environments, and so forth. With the evolution of the software, assuring the quality of the software is getting more difficult because of numerous versions of the software. Meanwhile, regression testing has been used to support the software testing activities and assure acquiring appropriate quality through several versions of software. Regression testing, however, is too expensive because it requires lots of test cases executions and the number of test cases increases sharply as the software evolves. For this reason, several techniques are suggested to help conducting regression testing then test case prioritization technique is understood the most effective and efficient technique to support regression testing. In this paper, we propose an approach, Historical Value-Based Approach, which is based on the use of historical information to estimate the current cost and fault severity for cost-cognizant test case prioritization. As a result of the proposed approach, software testers who perform regression testing prioritize their test cases more effectively so that the test effectiveness of them can be improved in terms of APFDc.
