Smart home is one of the emerging domains to come up after advances in home appliances and automation technologies. There are many commercial solutions for smart homes yet many of them have yet to truly exploit the potential of private cloud for low level contextual services and ability to migrate to public cloud for more processing and storage. We propose a private cloud gateway for smart home which will have the ability to sense the new devices, ability to detect context of the situation and act in an appropriate way. It will also record the user logs which will be audited for improvement of the overall system.

선행연구를 통해 모바일 특성에 영향을 미치는 변수를 보안성, 위치성, 편이성, 개인혁신성, 인터페이스, 도달성을 도출하고 m-commerce 신뢰와 사용의도에 미치는 과정을 실증적으로 검증하였다. 모바일 특성 하에서 m-commerce 신뢰와 사용의도에 미치는 영향을 중국과 한국 사용자간 차이를 비교하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있으며 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 모바일 특성이 m-commerce 신뢰에서는 한국과 중국이 유사한 형태를 나타내지만, m-commerce 사용의도에서는 한국과 중국이 다른 경향을 나타내고 있다. 이는 신뢰개념에서는 한국과 중국이 동일하게 생각되지만, 사용의도개념에서 한국은 모바일 시장이 성숙되었지만 중국은 초기시장이라는 특성이 반영된 것으로 보인다. 둘째, 한국과 중국 사용자의 차이점을 살펴보면 한국의 경우 보안성, 개인혁신성, 도달성이 신뢰에 영향을 미치고 있었다. 그리고 보안성, 위치성, 편이성, 개인혁신성, 인터페이스, 도달성은 사용의도에 영향을 미치고 있었다. 중국의 경우는 개인혁신성이 신뢰에 영향을 미치고 있으며, 편이성이 사용의도에 영향을 미치고 있었다. 따라서 공통적으로 한국과 중국의 모바일 특성에서는 개인혁신성이 신뢰에 중요한 요소로 생각하며, 편이성이 사용의도를 중시하고 있다. 셋째, 한국과 중국 m-commerce에서 모두 신뢰가 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 신뢰가 높을수록 사용의도가 높아진다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 m-commerce 사용자들의 사용의도를 높이기 위해서는 신뢰를 수용할 수 있는 서비스를 제공할 필요가 있다.

적응 비트 레이트 (ABR) 스트리밍은, 이를 사용하는 넷플릭스나 아마존과 같은 콘텐츠 제공자와 더불어 대역폭 효율을 증가시키고, 채널 상태가 좋지 않은 경우에서도 최고의 사용자 실감을 제공한다는 측면에서, 많은 멀티미디어 전달 시스템 중에서 매우 중요한 기능이 되었다. 이러한 시스템에 의하여 대역폭 이용 효율의 개선이 이루어지는 분야는, 실시간 영상전송을 위한 인지형 폐루프 제어가 가능한 비디오 인코딩 분야이다. 본 연구에서는, 지능적으로 해상도를 결정하기 위하여, 사용자 선호도를 학습함으로써, 공간 및 시간적으로 채널 상태에 적응된 비디오 스트림을 제공하는 스트리밍 카메라 시스템을 제시한다. 제시된 시스템은 비디오 압축을 위하여 하드웨어 H.264 / AVC 인코더를 사용한다. 대역폭이 변동할 때 인코딩 매개변수는 사용자 또는 사용자를 대신할 수 있는 인지형 시스템에 의해 구성될 수 있다. 본 연구에서 개발된 인지형 비디오 클라이언트는, 시간이 지남에 따라 프레임 전송률 대비 비디오 크기와 같은 사용자 선호도를 학습하고, 채널 상태가 변동할 때 지능적으로 인코딩 매개변수를 적응 구성하게 된다. 개발된 인지형 해상도 결정 시스템에서는, 공간 및 시간적 해상도를 적절히 선택하여 비디오 대역폭을 제어할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 학습을 통하여 그 해상도를 적응적으로 결정할 수 있다는 것을 실험을 통하여 입증하였다.

Multimedia systems present information by using various media, for example, video, sound, music, animation, movie, etc., in addition to the text which has long been used for conveying the information. Among many multimedia applications, the multimedia information retrieval systems commercialized in the form of multimedia encyclopedia CD-ROMs, benefit by using various media for their ability to present information in an efficient and complete way. But using various media may cause end users' confusion and furthermore, poor user-interface design often exacerbates the systems. For appropriate design of the user interface of multimedia information retrieval systems, we investigated the characteristics of the multimedia information retrieval systems and listed 35 variables that might affect the usability of the user interface. And we selected 10 variables through some procedures such as brainstorming, literature survey, expert opinion, relevance analysis and feasibility analysis, in order to perform a screening study which will remarkably reduce the cost and time in conducting subsequent human factors experiments.

Utilizing the tools such as CLIPS can reduce the time that it takes to develop expert systems. CLIPS is a development tool for expert system and has public inference engine and utilities. However, skilled programming is needed to run CLIPS on Windows 95, and proper interfaces for knowledge engineers or end-users who do not have good programming ability should be developed. Therefore, the user-friendly interfaces including htitle, hmenu, hyesno, htextdisplay, and hrun were developed and added to CLIPS. The intefaces were excuted in command-line mode of CLIPS on Windows 95. Also, htitle and hmenu can display graphic files for expert system users comprehension. An expert system was constructed using the interfaces and examples were displayed.

This paper is a research on the dynamic signature verification of error rate which are false rejection rate and false acceptance rate, the size of signature verification engine, the size of the characteristic vectors of a signature, the ability to distinguish similar signatures, and so on. We suggest feature extraction and comparison method of the signature verification. Also, we have implemented our system with Java technology for more efficient user interfaces and various OS Platforms.

Spectrum sensing is a key component of cognitive radio. The prediction of the primary user status in a low signal-to-noise ratio is an important factor in spectrum sensing. However, because of noise uncertainty, secondary users have difficulty distinguishing between the primary signal and an unauthorized signal when an unauthorized user exists in a cognitive radio network. To resolve the sensitivity to the noise uncertainty problem, we propose an entropy-based spectrum sensing scheme to detect the primary signal accurately in the presence of an unauthorized signal. The proposed spectrum sensing uses the conditional entropy between the primary signal and the unauthorized signal. The ability to detect the primary signal is thus robust against noise uncertainty, which leads to superior sensing performance in a low signal-to-noise ratio. Simulation results show that the proposed spectrum sensing scheme outperforms the conventional entropy-based spectrum sensing schemes in terms of the primary user detection probability.

CpG is the pair of nucleotides C and G, appearing successively, in this order, along one DNA strand. It is known that due to biochemical considerations CpG is relatively rare in most DNA sequences. However, in particular subsequences, which are a few hundred to a few thousand nucleotides long, the couple CpG is more frequent. These subsequences, called CpG islands, are known to appear in biologically more significant parts of the genome. The ability to identify CpG islands along a chromosome will therefore help us spot its more significant regions of interest, such as the promoters or 'start' regions of many genes. In this respect, I developed the CpG islands search tool, CpG Islands Detector, which was implemented in JAVA to be run on any platform. The window-based graphical user interface of CpG Islands Detector may facilitate the end user to employ this tool to pinpoint CpG islands in a genomic DNA sequence. In addition, this tool can be used to highlight potential genes in genomic sequences since CpG islands are very often found in the 5' regions of vertebrate genes.

This research is based on real-time service model that uses lock screen of smart devices which is mostly exposed to device users. The potential for lock screen space is immense due to their exposing time for user. The effect can be maximized by offering useful information contents on lock screen. This service model offers real-time keyword with abridged sentence. They match real-time keyword with news by using text matching algorithm and extracts kernel sentence from news to provide short sentence to user. News from the lock screen to match real-time query sentence, and then only to the original core of the ability to move a user evaluation was conducted after adding. The report provided a key statement users feel the lack of original Not if you go to an average of 5.71%. Most algorithms allow only real-time zoom key sentence extracted keywords can accurately determine the reason for that was confirmed.

This study demonstrates some major traits of digital contents as information, playfulness, individuality, as satisfaction and commitment, user behavior as use intention. To make an empirical analysis the study, it is hypothesized that traits of digital contents, relationship quality, and user behavior. The major finding of this study can be summarized as follows, traits of digital contents are positively affected by satisfaction in relationship quality and use intention. Theoretical implication of this study are as follows. First, users wanted to choice only needed information. Second, users recognized digital contents as a part of life. So, user's ability is very important in this environment. According to this, business related with or interested in digital contents must have developed digital contents in variety aspect. Users must have concerned using digital contents, also.
