KMS 활용을 통한 지식창조 기제 연구 : 몰입의 관점을 중심으로 (A Study on the Knowledge Creation with KMS Usage : Focusing on the Flow Theory)

  • For decades, thousands of corporation introduced knowledge management systems to respond knowledge-based society. However, it seems that the systems merely focusing on knowledge accumulation and its sharing have been bounded by many restrictions in terms of new knowledge creation based on the life cycle of knowledge management systems. Moreover, recently, a variety of knowledge management activities regarding organization, systems, and process is emphasized as a strategic asset for a corporation to create core knowledge. Therefore, this study adopted the Csikszentmihalyi's flow theory to investigate the factors affecting knowledge creation and the success factors of knowledge management systems in virtual space. Prior studies argued that flow experience should be a prerequisite for creative knowledge creation. In that vein, this research revealed the causal relationships for flow experience between the determinants of clear goal, immediate feedback, congruence of challenge and skill. Additionally, it empirically examined how flow experience affected the exploratory behavior of knowledge creation.

반강제적 환경에서 정보시스템 의존에 미치는 영향요인 연구: 공공기관 KMS 활용 사례와 전환비용의 매개적 역할을 중심으로 (A Study on Acceptance Promotion of Information Systems under the Semi-Mandatory Circumstance: From the Perspective of Switching Costs Applied to the KMS of a Public Organization)

  • The purpose of the study is to propose the plans promoting IS acceptances under the circumstances where the IS usage is semi-mandatory. Since the IS usage is critical to secure the organization's competitiveness, many researchers have endeavored to investigate the factors in promoting IS acceptance. While TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) has been generally applied under the voluntary circumstance, under the mandatory circumstance did many researchers come to realized the limit of applying the TAM on IS acceptance. This resulted in various research trials to identify the IS acceptance under the mandatory circumstance. However, no research to promoting IS acceptance under the recommend circumstance where the corresponding users are recommend to the IS rather than alternative systems exits. The study applied the concept of switching costs to the research model, identified users' acceptance variations, and finally proposed the promotion plans for IS acceptance. The findings illustrate that IS dependence levels tend to be increased when both user satisfactions from a psychological perspective and monetary benefits from an economic perspective make the switching costs higher. The study stresses that organizations should provide information systems which reduce users' time, costs, and endeavors in performing their tasks, rather than require to use them by compulsion.

지식관리시스템 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 탐색적 사례 연구 (An Exploratory Case Study on the Factors Affecting the Knowledge Management System Performance)

  • Knowledge Management System is defined as an Information system to support the integrated knowledge management process for maximizing value of the knowledge assets in organizations. From that point of view, the system performance - the usage level of the system and user satisfaction - can be an available measure of the knowledge management system success. Many previous research were focused on the application of a new technological component for knowledge management processes or the construction of the overall system architecture in spite of the importance of the system performance. The purpose of this study is to Identify the factors affecting the knowledge management system performance. To do this, we conducted an exploratory case studies of eight companies. We applied theories of information system success to knowledge management system and investigated some specific strategic components as additional affecting factors. Finally, we proposed research model and ex propositions regarding the factors affecting the knowledge management system performance. The implication of the findings and future research directions were discussed.

  • Ubiquitous computing environment accelerates the advent of the IT Ecosystem. In the coming generation, a massive number of ubiquitous devices and services are converged into an ultra-large-scale system. In this context, high degrees of complexity and organization change the paradigm of knowledge and its management levels. The objective of this paper is to explore the Knowledge Management Systems in view of demands in ultra-large-scale systems. We introduce motivation for Next-Generation (NG) usage and their upcoming requirements. The possible applications will be discussed, and summary of different techniques are conducted. The tools and techniques that allow KMS to operate as "Vital Success Enabler" to achieve organizational benefits will be examined. Potential future directions for research are highlighted: these include advances in knowledge capture, storage / retrieval and sharing techniques, in particular with the surrounding role of information technology.

  • 본 연구는 지식경영시스템 구축의 대안으로, 그룹의사결정지원시스템(GDSS : Group Decision Support System)의 활용 방안을 제시하였다. GDSS는 구성원들의 사회적 의사소통과 기술적 의사소통 모두를 지원할 수 있는 형태로 설계되고 실행되어야만 지식집약 조직의 달성과 유지에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 기존 GDSS에 관한 문헌에서 제공되는 세 가지 수준의 GDSS와 지식변환과정 및 집단 구성원의 의사소통 유형과의 관계에 대한 이해를 바탕으로, GDSS에 새롭게 추가되어야 하는 특성 및 활용 가능한 기술을 제시하였으며, 지식관리 기반기술 중 조직에 구축된 KMS에 적용되지 못하고 있던 지식관리 기반기술의 GDSS를 통한 활용 방안도 발견할 수 있었다.

한국조폐공사 BSC 시스템 구축 사례 (A Case Study on BSC System Implementation of Korea Minting & Security Printing Corporation)

  • 본 연구는 공공기관의 BSC 도입 및 효율적인 운영에 대한 참고자료를 제시하기 위하여 KMOSCO(Korea Minting & Security Printing Corporation, 한국조폐공사)의 BSC 기반 전략적 성과관리 시스템의 구축사례를 분석하였다. 한국조폐공사의 BSC 기반 내부성과관리제도의 개선과정은 1999년에 도입한 EVA 내부평가제도, 2001년과 2002년의 BSC 도입과 직무분석, 그리고 2004년에 구축된 BSC 통합성과관리시스템으로 구분된다. 한국조폐공사는 BSC의 도입과정에서 CSF 및 KPI 선정에 대한 구성원의 협력을 유도하고 조직의 특성을 고려한 성과지표를 구성함으로써 BSC의 개념을 적절하게 반영하고자 노력하였다. 이는 타 공공기관이 BSC를 도입할 경우에 반드시 고려해야할 점으로 시사하는 바가 매우 크다. 조폐공사는 BSC의 도입과 운영을 통하여 구성원의 전략에 대한 이해도 제고, 성과관리와 평가시스템 개선 등의 가시적인 성과를 나타낸 것으로 평가된다. 이 과정에서 ERP를 기반으로 하여 EIS, KMS 등과 BSC가 효율적으로 연계되는 공사의 정보시스템은 BSC의 운영에 중요한 역할을 수행한 것으로 볼 수 있다. 한국조폐공사는 현재 BSC 시스템의 운영 초기에 있으며, 따라서 종합성과보상시스템, 목표 초과달성에 대한 감점제도, BSC와 예산제도의 연계 등 운영방안의 효율성에 대한 평가가 필요할 것으로 본다.
