Purpose: The usability, user satisfaction, and impact of electronic nursing record (ENR) systems were investigated. Methods: This mixed-method research was performed as a time-motion (TM) study and a survey which were carried out at six hospitals between August and November 2013. The TM study involved 108 nurses from medical, surgical, and intensive care units at each hospital, plus an additional 48 nurses who served as nonparticipating observers. In the survey, 1879 volunteer nurses completed the Impact of ENR Systems Scale, the System Usability Scale, and a global satisfaction scale. Qualitative and quantitative analyses were performed. Results: The mean scores for the ENR impact, system usability, and satisfaction were 4.28 (out of 6), 58.62 (out of 100), and 74.31 (out of 100), respectively, and they differed significantly between hospitals (F=43.43, p<.001, F=53.08 and p<.001, and F=29.13 and p<.001, respectively). A workflow fragmentation assessment revealed different patterns of ENR system use among the included hospitals. Three user characteristics-educational background, practice period, and experience of using paper records-significantly affected the system usability and satisfaction scores. Conclusion: The system quality varied widely among the ENR systems. The generally low-to-moderate levels of system usability and user satisfaction suggest many opportunities for improvement.

This study provides an in-depth comparison and analysis of various risk assessment models widely used in modern industries, and proposes the most suitable model for risk assessment of offshore wind power in Korea. The assessment models were selected by considering various factors such as the purpose of risk assessment, stakeholder requirements, and characteristics of offshore wind power. We also emphasized the importance of using different risk assessment models in combination in situations of high uncertainty. To systematize the combination of risk assessment models, we used systems engineering which is effective to develop a new system. Systems engineering was used to define the complete, traceable functions from site requirements, and model-based systems engineering was used to manage the design information from requirements to detailed functions in a single model. The developed risk assessment module provide automatic conversion between risk assessment models to enable risk assessment suitable for offshore wind power. The functionality and usability of the offshore wind risk assessment module were verified by the evaluation of three wind power experts.

This paper describes the design guide and its assessment process to be applied to the launcher vehicle exterior design. A launcher vehicle design is required to meet three kinds of design attributes; symbolic quality, usability, and aesthetic quality. The launcher vehicles referred to in this paper are assessed by the elements in the guidelines. A set of assessment process and methods is derived to evaluate how well the three design attributes are applied in the actual launch vehicle design. An example of assessment is shown at the last part of this paper. By this way designers can take various criteria into account integratively and select the final design. High design satisfaction and pride of the operators and the nation can be assured in the end.

This study is designed to understand current wearing conditions of air force mechanic parkas and evaluate their functionality by examining the wearing conditions and wearers' subjective assessment. By doing so, it also intends to identify issues that require improvements; and to provide basic data for future development of air force mechanic parkas. A survey was conducted as a study methodology, and the collected 1,628 questionnaires were analyzed. Findings of this study are as follows. 1. In the usability assessment, it was found that visibility of body sides was needed to be enhanced since reflective tapes were attached only to the front and back of the body; pockets were too big, but not convenient to keep mechanic tools; the design of hiding hood was not suitable for water-proof clothing; and a new design of size-controllable hood was called for since the hood blocked eye sight. With respect to the fabric, dissatisfaction was identified with durability, cold-proof and fire-proof features. 2. In the mobility assessment, respondents showed low satisfaction with collar heights and neck girths. Mobility score was over moderate level on average, except the parka length that obstructs wearers' movement, and neck and collar size. 3. In the wearability assessment, respondents presented moderate satisfaction with pleasantness, weight, pressure and dampness. However, insulation was found unsatisfactory. Based on the result, this study proposed improvement plans on design, pattern and fabric; and is expected to serve as basic data for developing more effective and functional air force mechanic parkas.

본 연구의 목적은 과학기술정보사이트의 이용자 사용성 평가를 통해 시스템 개선사항을 도출하고 이를 시스템 운영 및 개발 과정에 반영시킴으로써 현 사이트에 대한 사용성 개선에 있다. 총 16명의 이용자에 대한 사용성 데이터를 수집하였다. 검색로그, 인터뷰, 씽크 어라우드 등 다수의 데이터 수집 테크닉들을 적용하였으며 연구자와 이용자 1:1 방식으로 이루어진 사용성 실험은 정해진 테스트 프로토콜에 의거하여 이루어졌다. 수집한 데이터는 정량적, 정성적 방법을 통하여 분석하였다. 검색로그 데이터는 효과성, 효율성, 만족도, 오류 등의 항목을 사용성평가 측정 기준에 따라 정량적으로 수치화한 후, 기술적 통계 분석을 하였다. 씽크 어라우드와 사후 인터뷰로부터 수집한 구두 데이터는 텍스트화한 후 정성적인 분석을 통해 개선시사점을 도출하였다. 시스템 개선 전과 후에 대한 사용성 수준을 비교해 보면 효과성이 15점 증가, 효율성이 35초 단축, 만족도가 5점 상승, 오류횟수가 1.1회 감소하는 등 시스템에 대한 사용성이 전반적으로 향상하였음을 알 수 있다.

Objectives: The present study aimed to evaluate the usability, quality, and usefulness of the mobile application, CAMBRA-kids, for caries management in preschoolers. Methods: Ninety-one caregivers and preschoolers participated in the user evaluation of CAMBRA-kids. The evaluators assessed the usability, quality, and usefulness of CAMBRA-kids. The collected data were analyzed using R studio 1.2.1335 for Windows (RStudio Inc. 2018, Boston, MA, USA). The evaluations for usability, quality, and usefulness were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Kruskal-Wallis rank sum test, and Wilcoxon rank sum test. Results: On user evaluation, the quality and usefulness of the application scored >3 points, and majority of the users rated the quality and usefulness of the application as high. The quality of the application's system was the highest at 3.68 points, and the actual usage of the application was the lowest at 3.10 points. The application had the highest technological aspect score of 3.20, whereas the content related to oral health information had the lowest score of 3.10/5. Although the application showed no statistically significant differences in the quality and usefulness according to general characteristics, there was a statistically significant difference (p<0.05) between the two when compared between the caries risk group. For all items, the protector of the high-risk group evaluated the quality and usefulness of the application highly. The moderate risk group gave the lowest evaluation score for the application's quality and usefulness. The usability score of the application, according to the user version of the mobile application rating scale (uMARS), was 3.25, and the average engagement score was 2.82 (56.31%). The highest subscale score was 3.63. Conclusions: In this study, we found suitable quality, usability, and usefulness of the mobile application, CAMBRA-kids. In future, the use of this application will contribute to the prevention of dental caries among preschoolers.

PURPOSE: To evaluate the usability of a kiosk-based healthcare service that provides a fitness evaluation and customized exercise program for elderly or chronic musculoskeletal system patients. METHODS: To evaluate the usability of the customized exercise service program, healthy adults (n=20) from Welfare B, located in Gwangju, were selected and studied. Subjective safety, operability, and satisfaction of individual users were obtained as data by distributing questionnaires to subjects who experienced this program and having them fill out the questionnaire. For descriptive statistics related to the survey, frequency analysis was used to determine the frequency and ratio of the variable values of the measurement items. RESULTS: As a result of the usability evaluation, the average score was 4.166, and the average score of each item was 4.025 for safety, 4.272 for operability, and 4.143 for satisfaction. Most users obtained high satisfaction and positive impressions. CONCLUSION: The HARUFIT service, a user-customized exercise program used in this study, can be developed into a device that can improve self-management ability and increase understanding of health care by providing customized exercise based on the results of physical fitness evaluation. It is possible to diversify health management methods and maximize the effect of exercise by making exercise a habit of chronic musculoskeletal disease patients or the elderly using these smart devices.

This study was intended to point out the limit of existing digital content-centered studies, or approaches from the viewpoint of the supplier and in the aspect of business profit model and find ways to assess the quality of digital content, considering the characteristics of digital content. For this, the study is to apply value innovation strategy to digital content assessment, to analyze the applicability, and to propose a new and practical framework for digital content assessment method. To this end, this study selected the global No. 1 search service provider Google and local portal site Naver search service. The study on assessment factors by value innovation strategy was based on existing literature, while user-value elements in that respect were confined to information quality, interactivity, communication, interactive storytelling, and usability. This study objectified the relation with the value innovation strategic analysis, through qualitative and quantitative analyses on value elements of search service users.

토지적성평가는 공간계획에 있어서 실질적인 전략영향평가의 역할을 담당할 수 있으며, 2003년부터 국토계획법에 의하여 시행되고 있다. 토지적성평가는 토지의 물리적 사회적 공간적 특성에 따라서 개발사업의 시행 이전에 토지의 용도를 평가하는 과정이다. 토지의 특성을 파악하기 위해서는 지리정보를 기반으로 한 디지털 DB의 활용은 필수적이며, 법률상으로도 GIS를 활용하도록 규정하고 있다. 이 연구에서는 전라남도 지역의 교외지역을 대상으로 사례연구를 통하여 토지평가를 실시하고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 GIS의 측면에서 토지평가제도의 효율성과 실행성을 강화시킬 수 있는 방법론을 모색하였다.
