  • It leaves much room for improvement that UTM-01 is of practical use. Therefor we will design of longitudinal pole magnet for UTM-02 system. The design of new magnet is based on light weight for bogie system. The new magnet for UTM-02 was reduced weight of magnet is 18kg per one, then it was ratio lift to weight is 10.13.

  • 한국기계연구원 자기부상열차개발팀은 98년 9월부터 현재까지 과기부 국책연구사업의 결과로 개발한 도시형자기부상열차(UTM-01)의 주행성능시험 및 평가를 수행하고 있다. 시험결과 많은 문제점이 노출되었다. 한국기계연구원은 2000년 1월부터 2002년 12월까지 연구소 기본연구사업으로 드러난 문제점에 대하여 요소기술차원에서 성능개선 및 최적화연구를 수행하였다.

  • Linear metro with single sided linear induction motor is applied to the urban transit system because of non adhesion drive. But linear induction motor is required to reduce the energy consumption to maximize efficiency of LIM. In this paper, design requirements such as pole pitch, motor length, air gap, overhang length and the material of secondary sheet are investigated as major parameter of SLIM. It is effective for increasing the efficiency to adopt the copper reaction plate and decrease the mechanical air gap as small as possible.

  • 본 논문에서는 flexible guideway 교량과 능동적으로 제어되는 자기부상 열차간의 동적 상호작용에 대한 수치해석 모델을 개발하였다. 중 저속 자기부상열차의 동적 응답에 대한 열차와 guideway 사이의 특성에 대한 연구를 실시하였다. 동적 지배방정식은 10자유도계의 자기부상열차 모델, guideway구조물의 모드 특성과 UTM02 부상제어모델을 결합함으로써 유도하였다. 수치해석으로부터 열차의 부상공극은 차량의 속도, 트랙조도의 영향을 크게 받는 것을 발견하였다.

  • In this paper, the experiment on the dynamic characteristics of LIM for the propulsion system UTM(Urban Transit Maglev) is threated. Untill now LIM has been mainly experimented by using the rotational arch type system, but this system compose of the test vehicle mounted LIM, which driven by PWM inverter. And the anlysis of the performance and the steady-state characteristics of the LIM is treated under various operation patterns. This paper may be available to compose the operating system of LIM driven by the open or closed loop control.

  • In this paper, a new system requirement management tool and its application on the Urban Transit Maglev Project were introduced. In most R&D projects on complexity system such as transportation system, Systems Engineering(SE) activities are included on each project, and SE teams are using commercial computer-based tools to perform the SE activities. Even though SE tools help to manage huge data and documents on engineering efficiently, but well-designed functions of SE tools which support SE activities are not sufficiently used on the whole process of system engineering. In order to computer-based SE tools are to be effectively used on project management, most engineers who takes engineering and coordination roles, at least sub-project managers should be familiar to the tool and could be easily use it, but usability of commercial SE tools are very difficult for normal engineers with no experience on SE activities and SE tools. To overcome this difficulty, we developed a new system requirement management tool considering each user's scenario on using engineering tools. The developed tool could not cover whole SE processes, but designed to perform requirement engineering such as system requirements(SRs) management, specification management, traceability management, SRs' verification activity management and so on. All the entities on SR database are inter-connected by pre-recognized traceabilities, so even non-specialists on SE can easily browse the database and find entities concern, and linked information such as interacted entities, legal or engineering constraints, coordination documents, status of development and verification and so on. Also functions for SR verification tools, TPM(Technical Performance Measure) tools, DB searching tools with traceability, and report generation tools are included on the system.
