소도읍 중심가로 활성화를 위한 보행환경 개선에 관한 연구 -홍성군 광천읍 '광천로'를 중심으로- (A study on the Pedestrian Environment Improvement for the Small Town Main Street Revitalization -Focusing on 'Gwangcheon Main Street' in Hongseong County-)

  • 이 연구는 광천소도읍의 중심가로인 '광천로'에서 이루어진 도시계획 도로 개설 및 가로 환경개선 사업에 현황과 그 결과를 분석하고, 침체된 소도읍 중심가로의 보행환경 개선을 위한 기본적인 계획 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 대상 가로인 광천로에 대한 현장조사 및 이용자 인터뷰를 통하여, 장애물로 인한 보행로의 협소, 불법광고시설물로 인한 미관훼손 등이 문제점으로 파악되었다. 보행환경 개선을 통한 중심가로 활성화를 위해서는 첫째, 보행자 중심의 가로환경 구축, 둘째, 가로경관 개선, 셋째, 보행 친화적 상가 계획 그리고 마지막으로 지역 개발요소와의 연계를 통한 가로의 계획이 필요하다.

  • Street is the most fundamental component of city and place to promote diverse actions of people. Pedestrians gaze at various street environments. A visual gaze means that there are interesting elements and these elements need to be preferentially improved in the street environment improvement project. Therefore, this study aims to set up the priorities of street environment components by analyzing eye movements from a pedestrian perspective. In this study, street environment components were classified into road, street facility, building(facade) and sky and as street environment images, three "Streets of Youth" situated in Gwangbok-ro, Seomyeon and Busan University of Busan were selected. The experiment targeted 30 males and females in their twenties to forties. After setting the angle of sight through a calibration test, an eye-tracking experiment regarding the three images was conducted. Lastly, the subjects were asked to fill in questionnaires. The following three conclusions were obtained from the results of the eye-tracking experiment and the survey. First, building was the top priority of street environment components and it was followed by street facility, road and sky. Second, as components to be regarded as important, fast 'Sequence', many 'Fixation Counts' and 'Visit Counts', short 'Time to First Fixation' and long 'Fixation Duration' and 'Visit Duration' were preferred. Third, after voluntary eye movements, the subjects recognized the objects with the highest gaze frequency and the lowest gaze frequency.

주민참여형 가로공간설계에서 가상현실(VR)의 활용 (Using Virtual Reality in Design of Street Space by Citizen Participation)

  • 최근 들어 다양한 분야에서 4차 산업을 접목하기 위해 노력중이다. 주민참여 역시 정책결정이나 의사결정과정에서 중요해져왔다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 도시계획 및 설계분야에서 4차 산업을 접목하여 주민참여를 끌어 낼 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 연구방법은 가로공간설계(안)을 가상현실(Virtual Reality, VR)로 구현해 청주시민과 거주민을 대상으로 설계(안) 선호도 및 VR 기기 이용 만족도를 조사하였다. 이에 따른 주된 연구결과는 주민 참여 유도 측면에서 충분한 성과를 거둘 수 있다는 점이다. VR 체험 전 후 응답자의 견해가 상이하게 나타났는데, VR 체험 후 설계안에 대한 이해도, 참여도, 흥미도가 매우 향상되었다. 그러나 연구진행과정에서 PC-VR 기기의 조건을 만족시키는 장소를 섭외하는데 있어 많은 어려움을 겪었다. 스마트폰과 VR 기기를 연결하여 사용이 가능하나 자유로운 이동과 그래픽의 질이 저하된다는 단점이 있다. 또한 VR 기기가 아직 대중화되어 있지 않아 간단한 인터페이스 조작에도 어려움이 있었다. 이에 따른 VR 기기의 기술 개발을 통해 대중화 및 상용화, 법적 근거 마련이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

도심 내 가로경관 유형별 시각적 속성이 선호도에 미치는 영향 - 강릉시 중앙로를 대상으로 - (The Influence of Visual Character in Types of Urban Streetscape on Preference - In Case of the Kangnung-si Joongang-ro -)

  • Based on the result of extraction of common factors executed in order to elucidate the visual attributes of street scenery by types through the rotation of 23 adjective variables by Varimax, the visual attributes expressed after the construction of the facilities using street scenery were anylized to be 4 factors including factor 1 through factor 4. Theexplanation of the 4 factor groups to explain the entire distribution was 65.3% and these factor groups are the psychological attributes felt when using facilities are constructed by securing the street spaces in downtowns and the factors were named as naturalness(factor 1), locality(factor 2), identity(factor 3) and clarity(factor 4) respectively. Based on the result of one-way layout distribution analysis, the preferences for street scenery by types were found out to show considerable differences at 1 % significance level. Based on the result of multiple regression analysis, all of the factors explaining preferences including factor 1 through factor 4 were significant at 1 % significance level. In case other conditions are constant, if the values of the adjective variables related to locality(factor 2) increase by 1 unit, the preferences which are the values of dependent variables will increase by 0.709. The variable with the largest relative contribution among the 4 factor groups was the locality(factor 2) factor group and on the contrary, it was found that the independent variable with least influences was the clarity(factor 4) factor group.

도시 열섬 완화를 위한 가로형 집합주택 계획모델 연구 (A Design Model Development for Street-Oriented Block Housing Reducing Urban Heat Island Effects)

  • This study focused on the possibility of reducing the cooling load through the change of micro climate in the outdoor space during summer season. This study proposes an efficient planning model by comparing the effects of urban heat island mitigation through wind path planning, outdoor space vegetation, and exterior material change by using the basic model of the street-oriented block housing proposed in the previous research by the same author. As a result, the most effective wind path planning strategy in the street-oriented block housing was the change of the air flow through the mass height adjustment. When the tall building masses were staggered and arranged in a balanced manner, the overall wind environment could be improved. The greater the height difference between low and high masses, the better the air flow was shown. It was also important to arrange the building masses so that the inlet of the main wind was open and to allow the external space to connect to the adjacent block to create a continuous flow. The change of outdoor space vegetation and flooring, and the formation of wind paths through the opening of lower part also showed the effect of heat island reduction. In addition, the change of PMV in summer was the biggest influence of shadow by tall building mass. Attention should be paid to the fact that high-albedo exterior materials are adversely affected by multiple reflections in dense street-oriented block housing. The use of albedo of the exterior material showed that it is necessary to pay attention to apply in the high density block housing. This is attributed to the rise of the temperature due to the absorption of energy into the low-albedo flooring, where the high-albedo exterior causes multiple reflections.

서울 중계동 백사마을 가로외관 특성 연구 (The Study on Street Facade Characteristics of Junggye-dong 104 village in Seoul)

  • 104 village has kept the landscape of low-income settlements at hillside village as called 'Daldongnae' since 1960s. It has high urban and social values in modern housing history of Korea. This study is to analyze the basic type, transformed type of street facade and also the meaning in the modern housing history. It analyzes basic elements(building elevation, gate, fence) and subsidiary elements(roof form, door, window), and the type of street facade by the composition of the element.

  • Buildings' outward appearances, sidewalks, and street lights have long been regarded as important factors identifying the street landscape of a city. On the other hand, the interior spaces of a building have been known to have less correlation with street landscape. This paper, which did not use standardized urban street landscape application methods, attempts, based on an experiment involving Pimatgol, to prove that small changes in interior design influence the street landscapes of cities and even provide new vigorousness. Pimatgol is a type of village that still possesses a traditional Korean lyrical atmosphere. This paper also attempts to, with the use of a physical model and a digital simulation of small changes interior design, such as changes in materials, size of the opening, location of furniture, or a change of lights, uncover positive changes in street landscape. Computer simulation is one of the extraordinarily useful techniques to predict lighting performance, changing interior space and present visual image. As a result, this study can be a valuable guideline for the future streetscape reform project to lead the demanding effects of the interior space.
