Optimal layout of long-gauge sensors for deformation distribution identification

  • Structural deflection can be identified from measured strains from long gague sensors, but the sensor layout scheme greatly influences on the accuracy of identified resutls. To determine the optimal sensor layout scheme for accurate deflection identification of the tied arch bridge, the method of optimal layout of long-gauge fiber optic sensors is studied, in which the characteristic curve is first developed by using the bending macro-strain curve under multiple target load conditions, then optimal sensor layout scheme with different number of sensors are determined. A tied arch bridge is studied as an example to verify the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method for static and dynamic deflection identification.

Optimization of settlement layout based on parametric generation

  • Design of settlement space is a complicated process while reasonable spatial layout bears great significance on the development and resource allocation of a settlement. The study proposes a weighted L-system generation algorithm based on CA (Cellular Automation) model which tags the spatial attributes of cells through changes in their state during the evolution of CA and thus identifies the spatial growth mode of a settlement. The entrance area of the Caidian Botanical and Animal Garden is used a case study for the model. A design method is proposed which starts from the internal logics of spatial generation, explores possibility of spatial rules and realizes the quantitative analysis and dynamic control of the design process. Taking a top-down approach, the design method takes into account the site information, studies the spatial generation mechanism of settlements and further presents a engine for the generation of multiple layout proposals based on different rules. A optimal solution is acquired using GA (Genetic Algorithm) which generates a settlement spatial layout carrying site information and dynamically linked to the surround environment. The study aims to propose a design method to optimize the spatial layout of the complex settlement system based on parametric generation.

  • There are a lot of differences in the Eastern and Western space culture. Especially, Comparing to Japanese, Koreans are not good at utilizing the small space and react effectively. Therefore, the interior space of public transportation needs to be relatively developed to highly reasonable level in Korea. The purpose of this paper is to propose the concept of Korean tradition in urban transit interior layout, which means vernacular design. The interior layout should be made in terms of the emotional aspect not functional one. In order to study the notion of national character, this study refers the concept of interior layout of the public transportation to the layout of traditional architecture and modern office. The research of vernacular design can provide national character and traditional design and can make a success in a practical use and a visual effect. This study based on the national differences of space will be proposed the outline of interior layout and the shape of interior trims in the public transportation in Korea.

도심 엔터테인먼트 쇼핑센터(UEC)의 테넌트 배치 형태에 관한 연구 (A Study on the pattern of tenant layout in the Urban Entertainment Center)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the pattern of tenant layout for selected cases of five different Urban Entertainment Center(UEC) in Seoul. This research deals with the process of gaining tenant layout pattern of 40 different types. It is composed of three combination unit with tenants of the same or different consumption mode, which is divided into four different functions of retail, entertainment, dining, and service. Then, every tenant of research cases is classified as one of the fabric type, and the data is analyzed to gain its frequency rate with SPSS 14.0 program. The following is the overall explanation of the result for this research. The frequency of tenant layout pattern between the same consumption mode shows the high rate when compared to the other patterns with different consumption mode. For example, the frequency rate of tenant layout pattern which retail and dining consumption mode are placed side by side like RRR and DDD is high. Interestingly, the frequency rate of RRR type of tenant layout pattern that sells the similar products shows especially high level. It can provide the effective environment for shoppers to compare retail goods in many different stores as producing synergic effects when they are located near each other, so this strategy should be considered when planning tenants in UEC environment. Moreover, in case of dining tenants, when they are clustered together in the UEC environment it can play a role as an anchor tenant. Tenant layout pattern of dining-retail and dining-service consumption mode shows the high frequency rate than other layout pattern with other consumption mode. Besides, entertainment consumption tenants combined with dining or retail tenants show the high frequency rate when compared to the pattern combined with service consumption mode.

웹 디자인에서 배색과 레이아웃에 대한 감성효과 (The Sensibility Effects of Color Combination and Layout in the Design of Web Site)

  • 본 연구는 웹 디자인에서 배색(color combination)과 레이아웃(layout)에 의한 감성 효과를 알아보기 위하여 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 여덟 가지 배색 샘플(sample)과 네 가지 기본 레이아웃(layout)을 선정하여, 그 조합으로 웹 페이지를 디자인하여 배색과 레이아웃 타입에 따른 감성 효과를 알아보았다. 배색과 레이아웃에 의한 감성 효과는 '밝고 소프트하고 화려한' 배색과 레이아웃 타입에서 '밝다, 환하다, 간단하다, 따뜻하다, 간결하다, 소프트하다' 가 주 감성 효과로 나타났다. 그리고 '어둡고 딱딱하며 간단한' 배색과 레이아웃 타입에서는 '차갑다, 칙칙하다, 어둡다, 딱딱하다, 도회적이다'의 감성 효과가 나타났다. 또, 배색에 의한 감성 효과는 배색의 감성을 포함하고 있는 감성 어휘들이 우선적으로 나타난 것으로 보아 배색에서부터 오는 감성 효과가 크다고 해석되었다. 또한 레이아웃에 의한 감성 효과는 레이아웃 A와 B에서 C와 D타입으로 갈수록 즉, 레이아웃이 복잡해질수록 '화려하고 도회적인' 인상을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 배색에 의한 감성 효과가 레이아웃에 의한 감성효과보다 크게 나타났으나 배색은 레이아웃에 의해 이루어지므로 레이아웃에 의한 감성 효과도 중요한 것으로 해석되었다.

  • 건설현장배치는 프로젝트 공기와 비용에 큰 영향을 미치므로 이에 대한 최적화 및 자동화 연구가 수행되고 있다. 하지만, 이러한 연구의 목표변수인 건설현장배치의 수준을 평가하는 근거는 매우 제한적이다. 본 연구는 사용성평가 방법을 활용하여 건설현장배치의 수준을 평가하고 향후 건설현장배치 자동화 및 최적화 연구에서 초점을 맞추어야 하는 부분을 확인하고자 하였다. 설문결과 국내건설현장배치 사용성은 효과와 작업환경 항목에서 낮은 점수를 받았으며, 작업자가 관리자에 비해 낮게 평가하였다. 또한 작업환경 항목에서 낮은 점수를 받았으며 현장접근성과 시설 편의성이 낮음을 확인하였다. 이 연구는 건설현장배치 현황을 파악하고 개선방향을 제시함으로써 건설현장배치 자동화 및 최적화 연구의 진행을 위한 지식에 기여한다.

Spatial Structure and Dynamic Evolution of Urban Cooperative Innovation Network in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, China: An Analysis Based on Cooperative Invention Patents

  • With the increasing pressure of international competition, urban agglomeration cooperation and innovation had become an important means of regional economic development. This study analyzed the spatial characteristics of the Urban Cooperative Innovation Network in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, found out the dynamic evolution law of innovation, provided suggestions for policy management departments, and effectively planned the industrial layout. According to the data of the State Intellectual Property Office of China, this study researched invention patents from 2005 to 2019. This paper constructed the urban cooperative innovation network, and took 11 cities in the bay area as the research objects, and used social network analysis to study the spatial structure and dynamic evolution of the urban innovation network. Every indicator reflected the urban cooperative innovation, but they all showed a certain decline in 2008-2010. And it is inferred that the innovation network space of each city will be "obvious fist advantages, significant spillover effect and weakening role of Hong Kong and Macao". This paper divided urban cooperative innovation of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into three stages. Summing up the characteristics of each stage is helpful to recognize the changes of urban cooperative innovation and to do a good job in industrial layout planning.

GIS를 이용한 도시유역 토지이용특성 추출과 활용방안 (A methodology to extract landuse properties in urban areas and its application using GIS)

  • The accurate estimation of the area of individual landuse in each subbasin is crutial. However, because of the complication in landuse of an urban watershed, it is almost impossible to estimate the area of individual landuse in each subbasin by manual ways. For this reason, in this study, a systematic methodology is suggested to estimate individual landuse area of each subbasin using GIS. To construct data for applying GIS, CAD data including sewer layout and landuse are collected and converted into the GIS data such as shape files. An urban watershed, then, is divided into subbasins with respect to sewer layout and landuse. For each subbasin, the area of individual landuse including road areas are estimated by applying several GeoProcessing functions. The proposed methodology is applied to the Goon-Ja watershed in Seoul to demonstrate its applicability and it is concluded that the proposed methodology can estimate individual landuse properties efficiently and accurately.

전원주택 배치와 평면에서의 자연 연계성에 관한 고찰 (A Study on The Relationship with Nature in the Layout and Plan of Contemporary Suburban House)

  • Contemporary Suburban House is a kind of 'Urban House in nature' that urban middle class peoples elect voluntarily to raise life quality and make their own identity. Therefore, 'The Relationship with Nature' is an essential item in the design of Suburban House. But in the site plan of Suburban House, 'The Nature' as outdoor space is only the rest of the indoor space. The outdoor space is hold in common visually but not actually. 'The Nature' is not a labour ground as the case in rural society but a background of village. The plan of Suburban House is based on the urban apartment plan. So in plan, 'The Nature' is also an object for contemplation as the case in urban house. The outline of the plan as a border line between indoor space and outdoor space is controlled uniformally and 'The Nature' is linked only visually in the direction the resident wants to see.
