It is very important that the development of rural tourism resources and contents for agritourism increases rural household income and vitalizes local economy. In this sense, accelerating the rural traditional food materials into resources plays significant roles for the local economy. The farm-restaurant project, as a part of a development of rural traditional foods can not only help popularize the rural food-culture, but it also promote the consumption of local products by urban customers. It is difficult to manage both types of restaurants which are the dining type and the experience-centered farm restaurants as a farmer. In particular, the managers of the farm restaurants have some operational problems in developing a new menu and an experiential-program using their local farm products. The purpose of this study was to present steps that can be used for the existing menu-improvement and developing new menu processes of the farm restaurants that have been in operation for more than two years. By the purpose of menu developing for a restaurant, this research is designed for the case study. For collecting date for the study, we gained knowledge about the issues concerning menus from in depth interviews with the managers in two subject farm restaurants. The results suggested that a new menu, such as table d'h$\^{o}$te, $\`{a}$ la carte meals, specialties, kids meal, various dressing, are based on solving issues such as a limitation of food materials and the necessity of a kids meal in dining type of farm restaurants. Also, the suggested new menu, such as seasonal specialties and side dishes, are based on solving issues such as urgent development of various experiential programs and necessity of seasonal specialties in experiential type of farm restaurants.
As a measure to overcome the limit of small city which is weak in spontaneous competitiveness and to improve the quality of environmental, cultural and economic life of dwellers, it analyzed the geographical characteristics of city, movement path, economic status and other simple problems comprehensively and produced the vague problem solutions for dwellers and the practical direction for design using the 3D simulation rendering in order to suggest the result to change the potential for urban policy into substantial alternative. Geochang-gun selected as research area is evaluated for the place with high symbolic value of bridge in terms of environment, and the new design development for this kind of public design can be the good measure to increase the competitiveness of the city. This research is to understand the direction of the bridge recreation project which provides the cultural space connecting with other areas and improves the competitiveness of small city and to suggest the appropriate bridge design in order to provide the reasonable maintenance direction related to the future development of public design and the achievement of the symbolism of the region and to suggest the examples of public design for the urban competitiveness. For this purpose, focusing on Wicheon-stream in Geochang County, Gyeongsangnam-do selected as the research and development area for bridge design, it is to design the concept design bridge newly emphasizing the symbolism of bridge-oriented city for the development of future city.

It is essential to increase the implementation rate in order to increase the effectiveness of mitigation measures that can mitigate the negative impact of development projects. In the case of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA),research on the implementation evaluation of development projects is insufficient, even though the effectiveness of mitigation measures has been steadily raised. Therefore, this study evaluated the implementation rate of the mitigation measures and identified the cause of the difference in the implementation rate for each mitigation measures in order to understand the current status of the ecological mitigation measures. The implementation rate of urban and road development projects mitigation measures was 56.0% and 64.4%, respectively. the implementation rate of 'Monitoring' mitigation measures was the highest in all development project. But, 'Habitat creation' and 'Accident prevention measures' were low. In addition, it was found that the implementation rate of the mitigation measures were high when the contents of the mitigation measure described in the report were specific. Through this study, it was found that in order to increase the implementation rate of the EIA ecological environment animal mitigation measures, it is necessary to reflect the environmental and geographical characteristics of the target site in detail. Furthermore, it is judged that this study can be used as a basic basis for enhancing the effectiveness of the EIA system introduced to mitigate the negative impact on the environment.

The guarantee of transportation for elderly and handicapped people is increasingly necessary owing to their growing social and economic activity. In March of 2013, a partial amendment to the law for transportation of the vulnerable was made by the government, to make more convenient transport a legal requirement. The amendment describes standards for the installation of transport facilities, and its support available. However, the adjustment of low-floor bus routes is not included. Therefore, low-floor buses are operating without consideration for the handicapped. This study evaluates the current low-floor bus system user experience by considering the residential distribution of vulnerable customers and analyzing their reasons for using public transport. As a result of this work, adjustments to current bus routes are proposed. The residential distribution of vulnerable people has been assessed using the supporting materials of the urban renewal project in Busan City, and their reasons for using public transport have been collected by a survey of the target user groups. The results show that group A, which has good accessibility, was in high demand, but provided the most limited service. Whereas group C, which also has good accessibility but was in low demand, provided its service most frequently. The data show the supply and demand inconsistencies of low-floor buses, and the inefficiency of bus route allocation. Therefore, this study proposes improvements to current methods for the effective operation of low-floor buses.

The industrial areas including large industrial complexes formed by the process of the growth-oriented industrialization in the past have been attributed to worsening the urban competitiveness of cities due to their infrastructure shortages and aging. Government-led regeneration projects for old industrial complexes have been implemented on a trial basis, but there is a problem with applying a uniform regeneration planning to all the regional industrial complexes with different circumstances and physical environments. In this context, this study diagnosed the social conditions and physical characteristics of the Sasang industrial area in the city of Busan formed by private-led projects in the past and then tried to suggest its regeneration directions. The study area was characterized as its weakening industrial function, infrastructure shortage, and increasing development pressure. Based on these regional characteristics, the regeneration directions were suggested. In the planning phase, pubic-led infrastructure expansion is first needed and urban renewal needs to be applied to some areas designated as priority maintenance areas. In the implementation phase, stepwise projects are required in the medium to long term and it is important to build upon the consensus with private companies through establishing collaborative governance.
Urbanization can be remarkable affected flood, pollutant loading, ecological system, and green infrastructure by distortion of hydrologic cycle. In order to mitigate these problems in urban, Low Impact Development(LID) technique has been introduced and applied in the world. SWMM model was calibrated with sets of field monitoring data and applied for calculation of runoff and pollutant loading in Asan-tangjung LID city under 2016 rainfall. Runoff reduction of watershed and catchment basins were showed efficiency 12.2% and 62.0%, respectively. Reduction of COD and TP loading also high efficiency in catchment basins were evaluated 74.9 and 71.4%. The results of this study can be used effectively in decision making processes of urban development project by comparing watershed runoff and pollutant reduction by designs of sort of LID technique, LID volume and location.

Since the government of Korea (Ministry of Environment, MOE) introduced the policy applying 'Biotope-Area-Ratio-Indicator (BARI)' to huge residential land developments which Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) should be performed, MOE has come to have the necessity to apply the indicator concretely at the stage of Prior Environment Review System (PERS) and EIA in various types of large scale land development projects. This study was conducted with the aim of supporting the application of BARI and related decision making in various other types of EIA projects as well as residential development projects through remodeling the system to apply the indicator of the past. Through the analysis of the problems in applying the past BARI and experimental appraisals to 11 types of EIA projects, the results and implications as follows were drawn. First, it's possible to extend the range of applications of BARI, which has been applied to only residential land development project, to all kinds of projects with area-typed land use pattern out of environmental impact assessment target projects. Second, it's also possible to set a target value into which regional characteristics and differences among locational properties are reflected. In addition, it's come to be able to differentially apply the target value of BARI according to the condition of the existing site. Third, it's improved to be able to suggest a macroscopic target value at the stage of PERS and to set detailed target values in each detailed land use at the stage of EIA. The key point underlies inducing methodology to determine target values to secure more permeable land coverage ratio for detailed land use patterns at the stage of EIA by making it possible to calculate BARI of the present land cover condition of the EIA target projects.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MoLIT) and the Korean Automobile Testing and Research Institute (KATRI) are supporting the development of Lv.3 automated vehicle (hereinafter, AV) technology by constructing an automated driving pilot city (as known as K-City) equipped with total 5 evaluation environments (urban, motorway, suburban, community road, and autonomous parking facility) which is a test bed exclusively for AV (2017~2018). An upgrade project is in a progress to materialize harsh environments such as bad weather (rain, fog, etc.) and reproduction of communication jamming (GPS blocking, etc.) with the purpose of supporting the development of Lv.4 connected & automated vehicle (hereinafter, CAV) technology (2019~2022). We intend to proactively establish a national level standard for CAV test-bed and test road requirements, test method, etc. for establishment of a road map for the construction of the test bed which is being promoted step by step and analyze and, when required, benchmark the case of China that has announced and is utilizing it. Through this, we plan to define standardized requirements (evaluation facility, evaluation system, etc.) on the test bed for the development of Lv.4/4+ CAV technology and utilize the same for the design and construction of a test bed, establishment of a road map for the construction of a real car-based test environment related to the support for autonomous driving service substantiation, etc. through provision of an evaluation environment utilizing K-City, and the establishment of a K-City upgrade strategies, etc.

The Gongju Sanseong Traditional Market, the subject of this study, was formed in the early 1900's, and along with the development of Gongju, it has been constantly changed and expanded up until now. The Sanseong Traditional Market located in Gongju, the Korea's representative historic city, exhibits merits in the aspects as a city based on the symbolic significance of the city where it is located and historical characteristics; however, it also presents some problems as well in consideration of user convenience and accessibility. Thereupon, this study conducted literature review on traditional markets, field research with a field trip, and a survey in order to analyze the spatial characteristics of the market environment and grope for the methods of activation. The conclusion suggested through this is as written below: First, the changes of types regarding spatial use according to the modernization project of traditional markets are essential, so about the spatial use according to the spatial changes, it is needed to distribute it balancedly considering the central space of the market. Second, with the understanding of the spatial types of traditional markets, it is needed to build a plan for alternation in the types of physical space based on that. Third, it is necessary to suggest the methods of integrated spatial use among standing markets and 5-day markets. In particular, through the approaches from the aspects of architectural and urban design and through reasonable spatial planning, a systematic approach considering the convenience of the users and merchants using it as their living space should be prioritized. And lastly, it is needed to reorganize the space according to the physical and non-physical methods in order to figure out the methods of activating traditional markets in agricultural areas and minor cities. With the complex approaches above, we can grope for the methods of activating traditional markets.
The purpose of this study was to resolve the issues of inferior housing environment and the population decrease in rural community by improving the environment and attracting urban inhabitants. A simulation on the costs and the local programs was operated from a point of view that Pension Insurance House with Long-term Lease and a plan for the program in connection with local resources should be accompanied to attract urban inhabitants. The study was carried out through mainly documents analysis and specialists' opinions. The simulation results are as follows. Firstly, the pre-existing rural housing development projects have only emphasized the hardware, while underestimated the post-management with operating programs. The software should be underlined when Pension Insurance House is developed. Secondly, as a result of the simulation on construction expenditure and the operating and maintenance cost for 30 years, about 82.3 million Wons are necessary residential expenses for 15 years per unit. Thirdly, in case of MUJU County, it has made the most of its pre-existing institutions. It's medical institutions provide medical care system with health education, facilities related leisure and culture offer recreational programs and the local community center and its program of each town helps new habitants adopt to the rural life. Additionally, the employment project of a local welfare center allow people living in a rural community to continue their careers with their talents and interests through local class programs for a life worth living. Lastly, guide for getting information of rural life, local community gathering and preliminary education should be carried out to reduce expectant tenants' incompatibility and assist them settle down early. The community program expansion is also required at the local government level.
