Detection of SIP Flooding Attacks based on the Upper Bound of the Possible Number of SIP Messages

  • Since SIP uses a text-based message format and is open to the public Internet, it provides a number of potential opportunities for Denial of Service (DoS) attacks in a similar manner to most Internet applications. In this paper, we propose an effective detection method for SIP flooding attacks in order to deal with the problems of conventional schemes. We derive the upper bound of the possible number of SIP messages, considering not only the network congestion status but also the different properties of individual SIP messages such as INVITE, BYE and CANCEL. The proposed method can be easily extended to detect flooding attacks by other SIP messages.

  • 본 논문에서는 터어빈과 콤프레셔 블레이드의 정밀예비현상 및 캠 부품의 제 조에 사용되는 원형소재로부터의 타원형재의 압출에 대한 일반적인 해석방법을 제안할 것이다. 해석결과는 실제 가공경화재인 알루미늄합금(Al2024)의 압출실험을 수행하 여 타당성을 검토하도록 할 것이며 기존의 해석 및 실험결과와도 비교 논의하도록 하 겠다.

  • The study is concerned with an analysis on the hydrofilm extrusion through conical dies. The upper bound method is adopted for the analysis of metal deformation in connection with hydrodynamic lubrication theory for the lubricant in order to determine the extrusion pressure for some variables such as reduction of area, die cone angle. In the upper bound method, a kinematically admissible velocity field is found by assuming proper streamlines and applying the flow function concept to the region of plastic deformation. The effect of work hardening is incorporated approximately by calculating the strains at the exit of the die. The experiments are carried out with the commercially pure aluminium for some chosen variables at room temperature. It is shown that the theoretical predictions are in good agreement with the experimental observations.

  • Numerical calculation tool for forging of gear-like components based on kinematically admissible velocity fields for upper bound method applicable to various deformation features of workpiece in forging processes were suggested. Each one of them deals with unidirectional flow of metal on dies, such as external involute spur gear, sequare spline, internal serrations. A complex calcuation tool of gear-like component forging process was built up by combining these kinematically velocity fields. In this paper, the workpiece with both external and internal teeth is divided into two parts. The deformation of each part is analyzed simultaneously using numerical calculation tool form combined kinematically admissible velocity field. The experimental set-up was installed in a 200 ton hydraulic press. As a result, each kinematically admissible velocity field could be combined with other and the calculated solution are useful to predict the capacity of forging equipment.

  • This paper presents robustness properties of the Kalman Filter ad the associated LQG/LTR method for linear time-invariant systems having delays in both the state and output. A circle condition relating to the return difference matrix associated with the Kalman filter is derived. Using this circle condition, it is shown that the Kalman filter guarantees(1/2, .inf.) gain margin and .+-.60.deg. phase margin, which are the same as those for nondelay systems. However, it is shown that, even for minimum phase plants, the LQG/LTR method can not recover the target loop transfer function. Instead, an upper bound on the recovery error is obtained using an upper bound of the solution of the Kalman filter Riccati equations. Finally, some dual properties between output-delated system and input-delayed systems are exploited.

  • An upper-bound elemental stream function technique(UBST) is proposed for solivng forging and backward extrusion problems that are geometrically complex or need a forming simulation . And in the forging problems, this study investigates that layer of elements effects dissipation of total energy and load. The element system of UBSTuses the curve fitting property of FEM and the fluid incompressiblity of the stream function . The foumulated optimal design problems with constraints ae solved by the flixible toerance method. In the closed-die forging and backward extrusion, the result of layer of element by this study produces a lower upper-bound solution than that fo UBET and conventional layer of element . And the main advantage of UBST program is that a computer code, once written , can be used for a large variety problems by simply changing the input data.

  • Forging of spur gears has been investigated by means of upper-bound method. The term forging means forging of spur gears with solid cylindrical billets, hollow billets with flat punch. Kinematically admissbile velocity field for forging of spur gears has been proposed in this study. The 1/2 pitch of spur gear has been divided into seven dieformation regions, wherein, an involute curve has been introduced to represent the shape of die profile. Especially neutral surface has been introduced intor forging of hollow gears from hollow billets. By using the kinematically admissible velocity field, the powder requirements and suitable conditions for forging fo spur gears were successfully calculated with numerical method. According to the analysis , the acceptable number of teeth for forging of spur gears is from 15 to 20.

  • 본 논문에서는 이동통신 시스템을 분석할때 이론적 해석을 간단히 하기위하여 이상적이라고 가정하였던 수신대역 통과 필터의 진폭 및 위상 특성에 의한 신호의 왜곡과 데이타 샘플링 타이밍오차에 의한 성능저하를 분석하였다. 잘 알려진 심볼간 간섭이론을 이용하면 시스템 오율의 상한(Upper bound)만을 알 수 있다. 따라서, 평균 오율을 계산하기위하여 평균 심볼간 간섭량을 계산하고 이로부터 평균 오율을 계산하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 의하여 평균 오율을 계산할 수 있을뿐만 아니라 측정 한 간섭 량을 대 입 하여도 오율을 알 수 있으므로 실험실에 서 쉽게 이용이 가능하다.

Upper Bounds for the Infection Rate in Group Testing

  • Group testing is an efficient method to classify units from a population as infected or non-infected and useful in estimating the infection rate when the population infection rate is small. Upper bounds are the focus of interest in group testing, but has not been studied extensively. In this paper, the upper bound derived from the uniformly most powerful test is proposed and compared with the classical approachers, Thompson's and Bhattacharyya et al.'s methods.
