  • The recent steep increase in the minimum hourly wage has increased the burden of labor costs, and the share of unmanned stores is increasing in the aftermath of COVID-19. As a result, theft crimes targeting unmanned stores are also increasing, and the "Just Walk Out" system is introduced to prevent such thefts, and LiDAR sensors, weight sensors, etc. are used or manually checked through continuous CCTV monitoring. However, the more expensive sensors are used, the higher the initial cost of operating the store and the higher the cost in many ways, and CCTV verification is difficult for managers to monitor around the clock and is limited in use. In this paper, we would like to propose an AI image processing fusion algorithm that can solve these sensors or human-dependent parts and detect customers who perform abnormal behaviors such as theft at low costs that can be used in unmanned stores and provide cloud-based notifications. In addition, this paper verifies the accuracy of each algorithm based on behavior pattern data collected from unmanned stores through motion capture using mediapipe, object detection using YOLO, and fusion algorithm and proves the performance of the convergence algorithm through various scenario designs.

  • The exchangeable battery electric bus is an eco-friendly public transportation vehicle. Due to the technological limitation, however, it should repeatedly change batteries with charged ones. The unmanned battery exchangeable electric bus being studied in Korea can exchange batteries automatically by using a battery swapping system. In this paper, we propose an unmanned battery exchangeable electric bus management system. The proposed system provides two services: the bus information service and the battery change scheduling service. The bus information service is the existing traditional metropolitan area bus information systems, which inform bus passengers how long they should wait for the buses. Our second service assigns a low-battery bus, which needs to change the batteries, to the battery swapping system, which stores fully-charged batteries. To validate the proposed system, we model the system by using the DEVS formalism. The simulation result shows that the proposed system provides the services properly.

  • In this paper, we describe the case of automatic test equipment development for hardware verification of stores management computer mounted on aircraft. Recently, the required functions of aircraft have been diversified and the related technologies of avionics equipment have developed, and the types and quantity of interfaces required for avionics equipment have increased. In addition to the existing old stores, the stores management computer also needs to control the interface in large quantities as the requirements for the new stores are added. For this reason, the time and manpower required for the inspection of avionic equipment are also increasing, and if the test process of avionic equipment can be automated and unmanned, more efficient inspection system operation will be possible. Therefore, this paper introduces the case of designing test software and test scenario to automate the structural design contents and verification process of test equipment required for the verification of hardware function of stores management computer.

  • Recently, Kiosks, a wireless ordering system, has been introduced as the system where employees and customers order in person has disappeared in most stores. However, Drive-Thru, which is serviced in stores, still has a system where employees and customers communicate directly to order. In this paper, we propose the design of a Drive-Thru system in which customers order direct communication between Drive-Thru's employees and customers without facing them using QR-Code. The non-face-to-face Drive-Thru system aims to provide a more automated system by minimizing employees in the store. As a result, customers receive more accurate services and have the effect of improving the quality of consumption.

  • The universal form of life in the era of the 4th industrial revolution can probably be summarized as the keyword "non-face-to-face". In particular, in terms of consumption activities, face-to-face contact is gradually changing to a system that minimizes, and offline stores are rapidly changing to non-contact services through kiosks and robots. The social structure is also changing with the passage of time, and most fundamentally, our dietary consumption patterns are changing. In particular, the increase in single-person households and the aging population are having a great impact on changes in the food service industry, which is closely related to dietary life. The HMR (Home Meal Replacement) market has grown significantly as the labor of cooking at home has decreased and the use of substitute foods has increased. As the size of the market has grown, the types of businesses that provide products have also diversified. The development of technology, non-face-to-face culture, and corporate management efficiency are intertwined, and unmanned stores are spreading recently. In this study, service quality attributes of HMR unmanned stores, where competition is gradually intensifying, are classified, and service quality classification using the Kano model and Timko's customer satisfaction coefficient are calculated to provide implications for service management based on customer satisfaction. As a result of the analysis, 'products with short cooking time' and 'variety of products (menu)' were classified as attractive qualities, and 'cleanliness inside/outside of the store' and 'products at reasonable prices' were classified as unified quality. In addition, 'convenience of self-checkout process' was classified as a natural quality, and 'convenience of in-store passage' was classified as an indifferent quality. Furthermore, when the service factor was satisfied within the HMR unmanned store, the factor with the highest satisfaction coefficient was 'product (menu) variety', and the factor with the highest dissatisfaction factor was 'convenience of self-checkout process'. Through the results of this study, it is intended to derive priorities in service quality management of HMR unmanned stores and provide strategic implications for related businesses.
