This research has investigated the perceptions of subject specialization services and the opinions of students majoring in library and information science preparing for librarianship, librarians operating in the field, and library directors on the status and ways of nurturing subject specialization for librarians, among others. To this end, based on the results of previous research and the survey questionnaire analysis, we have presented a policy to train subject librarians. First, we have proposed a plan for systematizing the current educational system within the department of library and information science. We have also suggested ways to secure subject expertise based on curriculum management, minor programs, multi-major programs, and interdisciplinary major programs based on the standard curriculum model. Second, we have presented a subject specialization educational system for field librarians, and further suggested details for the development of an educational program that can help build subject expertise and the operation of educational methods as well as the personnel in charge of implementing the educational programs. Third, we have proposed institutionalization of the qualifications of the subject librarian where the qualification requirements have been organized considering academic background, major program, library career, and career experience in the subject specialization service, further suggesting the implementation and maintenance of the system.

본 연구는 대학도서관 사서의 조직몰입을 입체적으로 이해하고 이러한 조직몰입을 도서관 조직 차원에서 관리하는 방안을 검토하기 위하여 심층면담을 통해 사서의 조직몰입에 대한 원인을 살펴보고 조직몰입과 목표인식과의 관계를 질적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다수의 연구참여자는 근무하는 도서관에 대한 조직몰입에 대해 현재의 도서관 상황에서는 조직몰입하기 어렵다고 응답하였다. 그 원인으로 물리적 보상, 조직분위기, 조직 내의 관계, 근무조건 등 위생요인의 불만족과 직무, 성취감, 책임감, 승진 등 동기유발요인이 만족되지 않음을 언급하였다. 따라서 조직몰입은 다양한 동기요인 및 근무환경의 복합적인 결과로 판단된다. 둘째, 조직목표에 대한 인식에 대해서, 긍정적인 목표인식은 직무만족, 성취감 등 동기요인 뿐만 아니라 물리적 보상에 대한 불만해소, 조직분위기, 동료관계에 대한 변화 등 위생요인과도 긍정적인 관계를 보였다. 이에 따라 사서의 도서관목표에 대한 인식은 조직몰입의 동기요인과 위생요인 충족과 관련이 있으며, 목표인식 개선을 통하여 사서의 조직몰입이 조직적으로 관리될 여지가 있는 것으로 파악되었으며, 향후, 이러한 결과를 기반으로 목표인식과 조직몰입의 관계에 대한 확증적 연구의 필요성을 제기하였다.

본 연구는 국내 대학도서관 사서들의 RDA에 관한 인식, 대학도서관에서 RDA 적용현황 및 계획을 조사하고 향후 국내 대학도서관에 RDA 목록규칙 정착을 위해서 고려할 사항을 제안하는 데 목적이 있다. 문헌분석을 통해 RDA에 관한 사서들의 인식 및 대학도서관 RDA 현황을 조사하기 위한 설문항목을 작성하였고 국내 대학도서관 목록규칙 적용현황 및 교육현황을 조사하였다. 이를 바탕으로 대학도서관 서양서 목록 담당 사서들을 대상으로 RDA에 관한 사서들의 인식 및 대학도서관 RDA 현황에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사 결과에 근거해서 AACR2에서 RDA로 전환하기 위해서는 사서들을 대상으로 한 RDA 교육의 확대 및 교육과정 개발, 도서관 기관 차원에서 RDA 형식 구비, 적용지침 마련 등의 노력 및 지원이 필요하고 국립중앙도서관 등 국가기관 차원에서 RDA 적용지침 제정의 필요성 등의 시사점을 제시하였다.

헬스리터러시(Health Literacy)는 적절한 건강진단을 위한 기본적인 건강정보 및 서비스를 획득하고 처리하고 이해할 수 있는 능력으로서, 사서들은 이용자뿐만 아니라 자신들의 헬스리터러시도 향상시켜야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내 공공도서관 사서에게 적합한 건강정보활용교육 프로그램 개발에 기여하고자 건강관련 교육프로그램을 개발하고 이를 사서교육에 적용하였으며, 그 효과를 측정하고 개선사항도 발견하였다. 그 결과, 공공도서관 사서의 CHI(Consumer Health Information) 관련 용어에 대한 친숙도 증가, 교육후 이용자에 대한 교육증가 및 내용의 다양화, CHI관련 서비스를 수행하기 위해 활용하는 정보원의 다양화 및 전문화, 참고서비스에 걸리는 시간 절감 및 전문지식 부족의 한계에 대한 부담 감소 등의 부분에서 효과가 있었던 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 본 연구는 사서대상 CHI관련 교육과 관련하여 국내에서 최초로 수행된 연구로 교육강사 및 주제의 다양성, 방법론 부분에서 많은 한계가 있었으며, 향후 보다 발전된 CHI관련 교육 프로그램의 개발이 요구된다고 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the possibility of using chatbots as a school library educational tool. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, 116 librarian teachers first investigated the types and contents of education conducted in the school library setting and the perception of chatbots there. In addition, 15 librarians (five elementary, five middle, and five high school) were asked to complete a structured questionnaire after using Google's Bard, Microsoft's Bing, and OpenAI's Nova to find out if it is possible to use chatbots in school library education. As a result, user and reading education chatbots were found to be common in school libraries, and 99% of librarians knew about them in some detail. However, the average chatbot performance by area was 2.9 out of 5 (2.6 points being the lowest). Nevertheless, chatbots are being developed utilizing deep learning methodologies and have excellent performance, and are very effective for content-based library education through problem-solving activities.

본 연구는 대학도서관 공간변화에 대한 사서들의 인식을 파악함으로써 대학도서관의 전문사서가 평가하는 대학도서관 리노베이션 혹은 신축으로 인한 공간변화의 효과성 및 효율성 그리고 향후 개선 방향을 도출하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 대학도서관 사서들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 아울러 현재 리노베이션 혹은 신축이 진행되고 있는 대학도서관의 사서들과 면대면 혹은 전화로 심층 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 대학도서관 공간변화는 크게 이용자의 요구를 반영한 다양한 공간 마련, 최신 IT시설 확충 그리고 보존 공간 확보의 세 가지 목적으로 이루어 진 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 도서관 목적에 부합하는 실질적 기능과 활용성을 고려한 공간변화와 대학의 특성을 고려한 독창적인 공간변화 그리고 이러한 공간변화에 보다 주도적이고 비전을 제시할 수 있는 사서의 역할에 대한 중요성이 제기되었다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the status of specialized services and the overall satisfaction of the operation of the specialized services for the librarians and users of the specialized libraries, and based on the ISA method, compare the specialized theme data, specialized service place, specialized program, specialized theme area facilities and environment, and derive issues of the specialized library operation and improvement measures. Consequently, first, when developing the program, the specialized library needs to develop programs in possession of unique characteristics specific to the areas of the differentiated themes from the cultural and educational programs run by the existing libraries. Second, it is necessary to focus on the specialized theme area information services for the users, and to this end, it is necessary to improve librarians 'professionalism. Third, it is necessary to secure the budget for the specialized services and secure space. Since the scope of the services which may be provided as per the budget intended for providing specialized services may be limited, it would be necessary to secure and operate the budget systematic to this end. Fourth, the specialized library needs to proceed with activities in connection with local residents for the purposes of facilitating specialized services.

The school library plays very important and central role for the fullfillment of educational objective in the process of implementing the school curriculum. And the media specialist known as teacher-librarian is. primarily responsible for the successful operation and effective management of the media center. It is true that effectiveness of the school library depends greatly on the cooperative coordination among teacher-librarian, teacher and principal in addition to the strong support and effective supervision of school district authority, specifically, supervisor of school library program. The successful program therefore is influenced by their perception of the teacher-librarian's role. The purpose of this study was to investigate the teacher-librarian's. educational role perceived by teacher-librarian, teacher, principal and school district supervisor. A standard task model describing both the management and educational functions and expectations of teacher-librarian was proposed after studying the relevant current standards of four countries. Serveral hypotheses were made regarding role perception and a survey instrument was designed based on this proposed task model and the results of the literature review to validate the hypotheses. The questionnaires were mailed out and the returned questionaires were analyzed by SPSS computer routine. The major findings are summarized as follows: 1) There was difference of the role perception among teacher-librarian, teacher, principal and district supervisor at the significance level of p<0.001 for both management and educational functions of teacher­librarian. The mean score of the teacher-librarian was highest among four groups and the score for the educational function tasks were lower than that of management function tasks. 2) The positive correlation exists at the significance level of p<0.001 between the role perception and the attitude toward changing social trends such as acceptance of new technology, need for better communication and information. 3) The positive correlation exists at the significance level of p<0.001 between the role perception and the view on the curriculum and teaching method.

창의력, 비판적 사고력, 의사소통역량, 그리고 협업역량으로 대변되는 대학의 미래 학습 및 혁신 역량 교육을 효과적으로 지원하기 위해 대학도서관의 공간혁신이 과제로 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이용자와 사서의 관점에서 대학도서관 공간에 대한 인식 및 수요를 파악하고 이를 통해 공간혁신의 방향성 수립을 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위해, 이용자와 사서를 위한 각각의 설문지를 설계하고 대학도서관의 이용자 363명과 대학도서관 사서 186명의 응답을 수집하여 그들의 도서관 공간 및 공간서비스에 대한 인식과 수요를 분석하였다. 그리고 이용자의 공간에 대한 인식은 이용자의 특성별, 이용행태별 차이를 분석하고, 사서의 공간에 대한 인식은 소속도서관 규모, 사서의 인구통계학적 특성별로 차이를 분석하였다. 또한 공간 및 공간서비스에 대한 인식은 이용자와 사서간 차이분석을 실시하였다. 본 논문의 결과는 수요자 기반의 도서관 신축이나 공간 재구성 계획 시 참고할만한 자료가 될 수 있을 것이다.

본 연구는 가상·증강현실(VR/AR) 기술과 콘텐츠를 활용한 대학도서관 서비스 개발 및 운영 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 가상·증강현실과 관련된 기술 및 콘텐츠를 도서관 서비스에 접목하여 활용하는 것에 대해 현재 대학도서관 사서들이 가지고 있는 인식정도와 요구사항을 조사하였다. 차세대 지능정보기술을 적용한 도서관 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 현재 대학도서관 사서들은 가상·증강현실 기술과 콘텐츠에 대해 어떤 경험과 지식을 가지고 있는지, 이 기술들을 활용한 도서관 정보서비스에 대해 어떠한 인식과 필요성을 갖고 있는지, 서비스를 위해 사서에게 필요한 역량과 환경(인프라)은 무엇인지, 서비스 운영을 위한 교육은 어떻게 진행되어야 하는지를 조사하였다. 이 조사결과가 시사하는 바를 분석하여 가상·증강현실 기술 및 콘텐츠를 대학 도서관 서비스에 적용할 때 유의해야 할 사항과 프로그램 개발을 위해 고려하고 준비해야 할 내용과 전략들을 논의하였다.
