The two main purposes of this paper are to 1) investigate critical components of university information systems for information resources management, 2) develop a comprehensive framework model of university information systems for e-Business Era. Through a literature review and by employing group decision making techniques with managers of K University, critical components for developing university information systems were identified. The critical components of university information systems are 1) academic affaires. 2) general administration. (3) research administration. (4) information services. (5) management support, (6) cyber education. (7) knowledge management, (8) e-library. (9) mobile service. and (10) IT infrastructures. In the second stage. by employing IT experts in K University and other institutes. a comprehensive framework of university information systems for e-Business era was developed. The comprehensive framework shows that major components for university information resources management are (1) information infrastructure. (2) common operating environments. (3) applications/information services. The results of this study expect to help managers. who are in charge of university information systems. plan to develop information systems based on the framework proposed in this paper.

The purpose of this study is to explore the role of information systems in the implementation of knowledge management, at King Abdul-Aziz University (KAU) in Jeddah, by highlighting the importance of information systems and their implementation of the knowledge processes. The researcher used the case-study method to explore the importance of information systems in supporting the implementation of knowledge management at the university. Moreover, the study has used the questionnaire as a tool for collecting information and obtaining feedbacks from the administrators at the university, and a random sample was chosen to identify the study community. The study resulted that there is a statistical indication of the importance and degree of the use of electronic systems in the university by the administrators. The study sample members believe that the university is keen to provide information systems, where systems analyze data and convert them into knowledge information that benefits the senior management at the university. Members of the study sample emphasize the importance of electronic information systems at the university, which in turn saves time and effort in extracting information, reports, statistics and providing them easily to senior management. The study also concluded with some recommendations, such as emphasizing the importance of knowledge management as one of its top priorities, spreading the knowledge culture, instilling a vision of knowledge among individuals, and emphasizing the importance of information systems.

2023년 기준 대한민국은 전체 마약 사범 가운데 30대 이하의 마약 사범이 전체 마약 사범의 59.7%를 차지하고 있고, 인터넷에 익숙한 청소년이 '다크 웹'이나 SNS를 통한 밀매는 일상이 되고 있는 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 VR로 마약의 부작용을 간접체험할 수 있도록 상대적으로 VR에 친숙한 젊은 층 연령에 맞춰 실제 마약 범죄 사례를 재현하고 이를 통해 가상 현실 내 여러 가지 콘텐츠로 다각도 지식 함향을 할 수 있는 VR 교육 콘텐츠를 제안하고자 한다.

본 연구는 국내 대학 및 소속을 두고 있는 한국 IS 연구자의 연구실적을 측정하였다. 본 연구자들은 선행연구에 기반해 MIS Quarterly(MISQ), Information Systems Research(ISR), Journal of Management Information Systems(JMlS), Journal of the Association for Information Systems(JAIS), European Journal of Information Systems(EJIS), Information Systems Journal(ISJ), Decision Support Systems(DSS), Communications of the Association for Information Systems(CAIS), Information and Management(I&M), Journal of Strategy Information Systems(JSlS), Journal of Information Technology(JIT) 11 개 선도 저널을 선정하였고, 2007년부터 2009년까지 출판된 한국 IS 연구자의 논문을 싸이언토메트릭 기법을 통해 측정하였다. 본 연구결과는 한국 IS 연구자의 우수한 연구실적에 대한 정보를 제공함으로써 우수 연구자의 파악 및 채용 정보 획득에 도움을 줄 것이고, 더불어 신입생 유치에 있어 학교와 학과의 우수성을 홍보하는데 자료를 제공해 줄 것이다. 본 연구는 한국 IS 연구자의 연구실적 측정에 대한 연구가 드믄 실정에서 연구의 독창성이 존재하며, 한국 IS 연구자의 논문 출판 추세를 이해하는데 도움을 제공할 것이다.

This dissertation searched for a social function and role of university, and problems of information-oriented universities through the analysis of the present conditions of university ERP systems in Korea. The purpose of this study is to find main success factors by investigating case studies on university ERP systems (university own development systems, Korean ERP systems, foreign ERP systems, etc.) and by referring to documentary records on the existing research. Especially this study observed university management. from an innovative aspect by studying success factors for information-oriented university connecting general functions of universities like education, research, and administration service, etc. This study result will suggest outline effective and practical implementation strategies for university administration information systems.

In this opinion article, we review the current streams of the information systems (IS) literature on crowdfunding and discuss how the literature has contributed to expanding our understanding of crowdfunding. Reflecting on the review, we propose avenues for future research to expand the existing knowledge on this impactful topic for the benefit of researchers and practitioners.

Using information systems effectively requires an understanding of the organisation, management, and the technology shaping the systems. As the technology is evolving immensely so are the opportunities in a healthy way to prepare the organisation in the competitive advantage environment In order to manage the IS/IT based systems, it is important to have an appropriate strategy that defines the systems and provide means to manage them. Strategic Information Systems Alignment (SISA) is an effective way of developing and maintaining the IS/IT systems that support the business operations. Alignment of the IS/IT plans and the business plans is essential for improved business performance, this research looks at the key features of SISA in the changing business circumstances in Saudi Arabia.

Product-service systems (PSS), integrating physical products and services, currently play a crucial role in sustainable economies. In addition to the highly competitive global economy, the emergence of new digital paradigms is supporting the shift toward servitization. Although the great potential of such paradigms is recognized by both practice and research, their implications for PSS are not yet clear. In particular, features of Internet of Things (IoT), such as total connectedness and ubiquity of smart sensors and actuators, provide various new opportunities for PSS. This study explores such opportunities by conducting structured literature review and 13 interviews. We organize the findings in two folds: First, we introduce four degrees of IoT involvement in PSS business models and elaborate the opportunities that they create for different types of PSS. Second, we present the key technologies and approaches that IoT provides concerning PSS lifecycle management.
