DNA transfection conditions were investigated by calcium phosphate-DNA co-precipitation in SK-N-BE(2)C human neuroblastoma cells. The DNA plasmid of TH2400CAT was used in which rat tyrosine hydroxylase gene was inserted into chloramphenicol acetyltransferase reporter gent. The transfection efficiency was 25-30% and the method was simple and reproducible. So, the method will be a good tool for transient transfection analysis.

A new series of phosphonate side chain analogues of 1$\alpha$,25-dihydroxyvitamin $D_3$ (1) have been synthesized. Antiproliferative activities of theses analogues (8a,b and 9a,b) using human keratinocyte cell shows that analogues which have natural A-ring show higher activity than unnatural A-ring series and almost equally active to 1 $\alpha$,25-Dihydroxyvitamin $D_3$(1) at 1 $\mu$M level.

Digital therapeutics (DTx) are emerging as a novel solution to improve lifestyle and prevent non-communicable diseases. Obesity is a complex, multi-factorial, chronic condition that requires patient-centered lifestyle modification. DTx, such as mobile applications and wearables, may offer easily accessible, efficient, and personalized care in the field of obesity and metabolic diseases. Yet, there is controversy over its clinical usefulness. This review will provide a comprehensive overview of DTx, including its potential role and current limitation in obesity care, based on recent literature.

Solo hand surgery is becoming increasingly common, mostly due to a lack of assistants and dedicated operating theatres. The solo hand surgeon faces challenges of proper hand positioning, elevation, and skin flap/tissue retraction. Most commercially available hand retractors or stands do not address all the relevant problems and are not economically feasible for trainee surgeons. The Jain's hand retractor system and stand, described herein, provides solutions to all these problems, and its simple design helps surgeons to reproduce it easily.

Purpose - The purpose of this study was to investigate data aspects in Library and Information Science curricula at all levels in selected African Universities. Design/methodology/approach - A review of existing literature on data aspects and LIS Curricula. Secondly, the study juxtaposed web-based courses for fourteen LIS schools to establish data aspects incorporated into their curricula. Findings - The study's findings found that although many LIS schools have some form of data aspects in curricula, coverage is still very limited and basic.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the current infrastructure of database on costume cultural heritage. The contents, kinds and accessibility regarding the digital contents of the websites of literature archives, museums and culturecontent.com by Korea Creative Content Agency were analyzed. First, it was evident that the quantity and quality of the database should be improved. The literature archives are mostly comprised of historical documents; however, the quantity of the database regarding the documents that are commonly studied in the field of traditional costume is not satisfactory. On the other hand, the quality of the database depends on the in-depth understanding of the terminology because errors occur when the contents of literature are transferred to an online database. Second, various information is required to meet the needs and interests of the digital environment. Most of the museums provide information on costume cultural heritage through their websites; nevertheless, it is not thorough and only partial. Third, the reliability of information needs to improve. The various contents provided by culturecontent.com lack reliability as it focuses on the entertainment values. To increase reliability, the source and origin of the information about the costume cultural heritage should be provided and the contents should be proofread before they are exposed to the public. Based on these findings, the researchers put forward the following suggestions: the quantity and quality of the databases should be enriched, and that more diverse information is required. Finally, more attention should be paid to increase the reliability of this information. This study will be an asset for the foundation to build solid databases and popularization of the traditional costumes.

정부 주도하에 정책적으로 이루어지는 국책 건설사업은 국가의 사회간접자본시설에 주로 집중되며 상당한 국가예산이 투입되고 관련 분야의 전문적 역량이 총체적으로 투입되는 장기적 사업이다. 일반적으로 사회기반시설은 반영구 혹은 영구적 국가 자산으로 유지하게 되며 그에 따른 기록물 또한 해당 시설물의 수명기간 동안 보존 활용되어야 한다. 또한 국책사업 특성상 다양한 이해관계자 간의 유기적 협의체계를 지원하고 오랜 기간 동안 일관된 문서 및 기록관리체계를 유지하기 위해서는 기관별 특성을 최대한 배제한 사업 역무 위주의 표준화된 분류체계의 수립이 필요하다. 따라서 국책사업 기록물의 분류체계는 사업 자체 업무 분석을 근거로 사업 업무분류체계(WBS : Work Breakdown Structure)를 기반으로 수립되어야 한다. WBS는 프로젝트 관리(PM) 분야에서 통상적인 사업관리 기법으로 업무구분을 위해 사업초기에 수립되며, 프로젝트 목표를 달성하고 필요한 인도물을 산출하기 위하여 프로젝트 팀이 실행할 작업을 인도물 중심으로 분할한 계층 구조체계이다. 따라서 본 연구는 WBS에 기반한 국책사업 기록물 분류체계 수립에 대한 구체적인 사례와 방안을 제시함으로써 현 관리, 행정기록물 중심의 기록물 분류 체계에 대한 새로운 시각을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다.

류코쿠 대학 소장 "당백가시"를 중심으로 3D 디지털 현미경으로 인쇄된 종이 표면에 남아있는 금속활자의 미세표면을 관찰하여 굴곡구조와 표면 거칠기를 정량화하는 측정 방법을 소개하고자 한다. 인쇄된 종이 표면을 기준으로 활자 표면의 굴곡 현상을 선으로 측정하고 활자의 미세표면은 면으로 측정하여 수치화하여 인쇄된 종이 표면의 특성을 제시하였다. 3D 디지털 현미경 측정 방법은 비접촉, 비파괴 방법으로 많은 자료 분석과 반사광에 의한 직접 관찰이 가능하다. 그리고 클리닝이나 배접 그리고 주름을 펴기 위하여 강한 힘으로 압력을 주는 과정에서 고문서에 함유된 정보가 손실될 수 있으므로 사전 조사 방법으로 종이 표면에 남아있는 인쇄 정보를 수집하는데 유용한 방법이라고 할 수 있다.

오늘날 대학의 신입생 충원율이 급감하면서 대학의 폐교가 새로운 문제로 등장함에 따라 폐교대학의 기록물 관리가 새로운 이슈로 다뤄지고 있다. 최근 사립학교법이 개정되면서 폐교 기록물 관리를 위한 기본적인 법적 토대가 마련되었지만, 전자기록 중 행정정보 데이터세트에 관한 사항은 반영되지 못한 상태이다. 또한 공공기록물법의 개정에 따라 폐교대학의 행정정보 데이터세트도 공공기록물로서 관리되어야 하나 현재 폐교대학의 기록물 관리는 비전자기록물의 이관이나 정리에 관한 이슈가 주를 이룬다. 본 연구는 이러한 현실을 지적하며 폐교대학 행정정보 데이터세트를 공공기록물로서 관리하기 위한 방안을 도출하는 것에 중점을 두었다. 기본적으로 각종 참고문헌 및 기관의 내부자료를 바탕으로 데이터세트에 관한 이론적 논의를 검토하고 폐교대학 데이터세트 관리현황을 파악하였다. 최종적으로는 폐교대학 통합정보관리시스템의 데이터 관리를 위한 방안으로 기록화 대상 선정, 보존기간 책정, 행정정보 데이터세트 관리기준표 작성, 행정정보 데이터 세트 평가·삭제, 폐교대학 행정정보 데이터세트 종합관리체계 구축 등을 제시하였다.
