농업용 멀티콥터를 활용한 무인항공기용 작물보호제에 대한 배추 파밤나방의 약제감수성 (Susceptibility of Spodoptera exigua to UVA Insecticides Using Agricultural Multi-copter on Cabbage Field)

  • 본 연구에서는 배추에 발생하는 파밤나방에 대하여 멀티콥터를 이용한 무인항공용 방제약제의 약효 및 약해를 조사하였다. 약해는 배추와 7개 주변작물에 대하여 시험대상 약제를 기준량과 배량으로 처리하여 살충 효과를 조사하였다. 배추 포장에 스피네토람 액상수화제(16배)와 메톡시페노자이드, 설폭사플로르 액상수화제(16배)를 살포하였고, 감수지를 이용하여 살포 약제의 낙하입자를 측정하고 피복도를 조사하였다. 두 가지 약제 모두 배추의 파밤나방에 대하여 97% 이상의 우수한 살충 효과를 보였다. 기준량 및 배량에서 배추와 7개 주변작물에 약해가 발생하지 않았다. 낙하입자 분석결과 바람 세기의 차이에 따라 낙하입자의 균일도가 다른 양상을 보였다.

일부 농촌지역 초등학생의 흡연지식, 흡연태도와 흡연경험 (Knowledge, Attitude and Experience on Smoking among Primary School Students)

  • The purpose: This study was to get database of health service for smoking prevention through investigating the state of the students' experience, knowledge and attitude on smoking. Method: The subjects were cosisted of 545 students who were currently enrolled in 3, 4, 5 and 6th grade of 4 primary school in J community. The instruments for this study were Smoking Knowledge and Smoking Attitude questionaire (40 items) developed by WHO(l982). Frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOY A and Chi- square test with SAS program were used to analyze the data. Result: Among the students 10.8% answered they had the experience of smoking, while 0.5% said they are current smokers. The experience of smoking related to general characteristics were showed significantly different according to sex, grade and received or not received of smoking exhort. With regard to smokers smoking behavior, first beginning time of smoking was most by 29.8% preschooler and the first motive of smoking was most by 80.8% curiosity. The main smoking area is most by 31.1 % own house or friend's house. The main purchase route of tobacco appeared by thing which house(father or brother's tobacco) most by 34.9%. Smoking period was most less than 1 day and smoking frequency was most stops while bum sometimes. The amount for a day was less than one cigarette. Smoking time was appeared highest when curiosity occurs. Students' knowledge level about smoking prevention is high comparatively to mean 15.44(±2.66). Smoking prevention knowledge level related to general characteristics were showed significantly different according to the grade, academic score and learned or not of smoking prevention. Therefore, was expose that the smoking prevention knowledge level is high in students who results high grade, high academic score level and learned of smoking prevention. Students' attitude level about smoking prevention was high level to mean 55.90(±3.58). Smoking prevention attitude level related to general characteristics were showed significantly different according to academy score and received or not of smoking exhort(t=2.33, p=.020). Therefore, was expose that the smoking prevention attitude level is high in students who result high academic score level and received of smoking exhort group. Conclusion: It follows from this study that education for smoking prevention should be continued from lower grade students and teaching for refusal skill against smoking is needed.

중부지역 뿌리부추 하우스 재배 시 차광 정도가 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Shading Rates on Growth and Yield of Allium hookeri Cultivation at Greenhouse in Middle Area of Korea)

  • 본 연구는 뿌리부추를 시설하우스에서 재배할 경우 여름철 고온기 하고현상(Summer depression)을 방지하기 위하여 차광막을 하우스 내부 또는 외부에 설치하여 차광정도를 달리하면서 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 수행되었다. 2015년 하우스 내부에 무차광, 35, 55, 75, 95% 차광막을 설치하여 정식 후 20일째 되는 날에 최종 출현 정도를 조사한 결과, 무처리, 35 및 75% 차광에서 98% 출현하였고, 55 및 95% 차광에서 100% 출현하였다. 차광 정도와는 상관없이 모든 처리에서 최종 출현은 양호하였다. 하우스 내외부에 차광막을 설치했을 경우, 2년간 평균 생중량(Fresh weight)은 75% 차광에서 6,323kg/10a으로, 무차광, 35%, 55%, 95% 차광보다 각각 5.0배, 1.8배, 1.1배, 1.7배 높았다. 하우스 외부에 차광막을 설치할 경우 생중량은 75% 차광에서 684g으로, 55%, 95% 차광보다 1.1배, 1.8배 높았다. 건중량(Dry weight), 건물율(Percentage of dry matter), 엽수(No. of leaves), 분얼수(No. of branches), 초장(Plant height), 근장(Root length) 등 분석결과 75% 차광이 다른 차광 보다 통계적으로 유의하게 높거나 절대적 수치가 높게 측정되어 중부지역에서 뿌리부추를 재배 할 경우에는 75% 차광이 가장 적합한 것으로 판단되었다.

포항 지역 지하수에 분포하는 탄화수소 가스의 지화학 (Geochemistry of the hydrocarbon gases in the Pohang Area)

  • 포항 지역의 지하수에 녹아있는 수용성 탄화수소 가스의 지화학적 특성을 파악하기 위해서 지하수를 채취하여 지하수의 성분, 추출된 가스의 함량, 탄화수소 가스의 성분 및 탄소 동위원소 분석을 실시하였다. 지하수들로부터 추출된 총 가스의 함량은 최소 27.0 ml/l, 최대 50.1 ml/l이다. 추출된 가스 중 탄화수소 성분은 메탄 $(CH_4)$이 27 ppm에서 376,420 ppm까지 나타났고 에탄 $(C_2H_6)$ 성분도 일부 시료에서 19 ppm에서 127 ppm까지 검출되었다. 지하수로부터 추출된 총 가스의 함량은 대수층 및 주변 지질에 따른 변화는 없었던 반면, 총 탄화수소의 함량은 대수층 및 주변 지질과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 대수층이 제3기층이거나 제3기 퇴적층의 두께가 두꺼운 곳에서 시추된 공의 지하수에서 탄화 수소 가스의 함량이 높은 경향을 보인다 지하수에 녹아있는 탄화수소의 함량과 지하수의 총 고형물 (T-solids)성분이 비례하는 것으로 보아 탄화수소 성분은 제3기층의 지층수에 녹아있었던 것으로 생각한다. 지하수에서 추출된 총 탄화수소 가스 중 메탄 성분은 $99.9\%$ 이상을 차지하고, 메탄 가스의 탄소 동위원소 비 $({\delta}C^{13})$$-73.1\%_{\circ}$에서 $-43.22\%_{\circ}$ 까지의 범위를 나타내는 것으로 보아 포항 지역 수용성 가스는 저온, 무산소 환경에서 메탄 생성 박테리아의 작용에 의해서 생성된 생물기원 가스로 해석된다.

Risk of Breast Cancer among Young Women and Importance of Early Screening

  • Background: Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women throughout the world. However, in comparison with Western women, it presents relatively early in women of Asian ethnicity. Early menarche, late menopause, use of OCP's, family history of benign or malignant breast disease, exposure to radiation and BMI in the under-weight range are well known risk factors for the development of breast cancer in premenopausal women. Early detection with the use of breast self-examination (BSE) and breast cancer screening programs can lead to a reduction in the mortality rates due to breast cancer. The aim of our study was to assess the risk factors for breast cancer among young women and to emphasize the importance of early screening among them. Materials and Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study among women aged 18 to 25 using a self-administered questionnaire. Data was collected over a period of 6 months from June to December, 2014. A total of 300 young women selected randomly from Dow Medical College and various departments of Karachi University successfully completed the survey. Results: Respondents were 18-25 years of age (mean age=21.5). Out of the 300 young females, 90 (30%) had at least one risk factor, 90 (30%) had two, 40 (13%) had three, 8 (2.7%) had four, 2 (0.7%) had five while one female was found to have six positive risk factors for breast cancer. Some 66 women (22%) experienced symptoms of breast cancer such as non-cyclical pain and lumps. While 222 women (74%) had never performed breast self-examination, 22 (7.3%) had had a breast examination done by a health professional while 32 (10.7%) had participated in breast screening programs. A total of 223 (74.3%) women considered breast cancer screening important for young women. Conclusions: The percentage of young women with risk factors for breast cancer was found to be alarmingly high. Therefore, screening for breast cancer should start at an early age especially in high risk groups. Awareness about breast self-examination should be emphasized. Moreover, screening programs should be started to ensure early detection and reduction of mortality rates caused by breast cancer also in young Pakistani females.

고랭지에서의 근권환경에 따른 유색칼라(Zantedeschia)의 생육반응 (Growth response of Calla (Zantedeschia) to root zone environmental conditions in Highland)

  • This experiment has been carried out to determine optimal culture conditions for the production of cut flowers and tubers of Calla (Zantedeschia 'Golden Affair' and 'Black Magic') in highlands. Treatments consisted of various levels of root zone environments, Results are as follows: Calla 'Golden Affair' were grown with different mulching materials such as Non-mulching, Black film, reflective film, Rice hull. Mulching materials resulted in no difference in the number of cut flowers but flower length was highest in reflective film. Calla 'Black Magic' were treated with various soil water content, soil type and watering time. Number of cut flowers and flower quality were greatest when the plants were watered at -80 kPa soil water content. No symptoms of soft rot (Erwinia carotovora) was observed at this soil water content. The occurrence of soft rot was observed with similar percentage according to soil type and the soil water content. When Calla 'Black Magic' were watered at the time of soil surface drying, growth was greater compared to others. Air temperature and PPF affected plant growth and photosynthesis. Photosynthetic rate was greatest at $25^{\circ}C$ and PPF $200{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$, while lowest at $28^{\circ}C$ and PPF $800{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$. Soft rot did not occur without regard to dipping treatment (0, 5, 10, 24, 48 hours) when the day and night temperature were maintained at $25^{\circ}C$ and $20^{\circ}C$, respectively.

유용 박테리오신을 생산하는 유산균의 분리와 동정 (Isolation and Identification of Bacteriocin-Producing Lactic Acid Bacteria)

  • 유아 분변, 우분, 염소 분변, 개 분변, 돼지 분변, vaginal tract 채취물, 채소류, 부패한 과일류, 김치, 젓갈, 발효 소세지, 원유, 치즈, 발효유, 청국장, 메주, 막걸리 등 다양한 시료로부터 3,000주의 미생물을 분리하였다. 분리미생물은 L. monocytogenes, E. coli O157:H7, S. enterica serovar Enteritidis에 대해 항균활성을 측정하여 박테리오신 생산 미생물 26주를 최종 선발하였다. 16S rDNA gene sequencing 분석을 통하여 동정한 결과, Enterococcus faecalis(7주), E. faecium(8주), E. hirae(5주), Lactobacillus acidophilus(1주), L. amylovorus(1주), L. curvatus(2주), L. plantarum(1주), Pediococcus acidilactici(1주)와 같이 8종의 미생물이 박테리오신을 생산하는 것으로 확인되었다. 미생물이 생산한 박테리오신은 대부분이 단백질 또는 펩타이드성 물질이어서 인간 또는 동물의 소화효소에 의해 분해되므로 식품에서 안전한 천연보존제로 사용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

학교보건수업에 대한 양호교사의 태도 및 교수능력의 인식도에 관한 조사연구 -서울시 중학교 양호교사를 중심으로- (A Study on Teaching Competence and Attitudes of School Nurses for Health Education)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental data supporting facilitation of a formal health education performed by school nurses as health educators. To evaluate the teacher expertise of school nurses as health educators, this study analyzed the present status of health education and the recognition of self-confidence in teaching ability of school nurses. Self addressing questionnaire were mailed out to 340 secondary school nurses in Seoul and out of them 244 nurses (71.8%) responded to the survey. Analysis of the data was made using t-test and ANOVA in SAS program. The major results are as follows : 1. The total health instruction performance rate was 84.6% (204). Regular health instruction was carried out by 66 nurses and the rest of the 155 subjects gave irregular instruction on health education. 2. Regular health education classes was offered as a part of physical education class hour by 89.4% of the respondents whereas only 10.6% of them had formal health education classes. The survey showed that irregular health education classes were mainly held in physical education class hours (70.3%) and 14.8% had opportunities for additional classes on health education. 3. The average class for regular health education was 5 hours per week but for irregular health education classes were only one hour per semester (32.9%). 4. Among the 11 categories of health education, education on drug abuse and body structure and function and physical development occupied 95.6%, 69.6% respectably while physical training, family health, social health occupied 10.8%, 12.7%. 5. Health education was given much more at public schools (88.2%) than at private schools. 6. 232 (95.0%) school nurses agreed with the necessity of formalizing health education classes and 227 (93.1%) wanted to change their status from school nurses to formal health teachers. 7. There is a tendency to change the status from school nurse to formal health teacher, and the necessity of having a formal curriculum on health education while less recognized by the older and longer-careered nurses was more recognized by those nurses with higher education. 8. The lack of administrative support (79.5%), work burden (77.9%), and lack of teaching competency (22.1%) were the greatest problems. 9. Education on drug abuse was stressed the most whereas physical training was most neglected. 10. There is a tendency that older and longer-careered school nurses thought less positively of their status, and then 98 (81.1%) school nurses acknowledged themselves as professional teachers. 11. 176 (72.5%) school nurses agreed with the necessity of continuing education : health knowledge and teaching skills for formal health teachers. 12. 179 (73.8%) school nurses had a positive attitude and undergraduate preparation and the practice of professional health teachers. 13. The school nurses had self-confidence in their teaching competence, teaching strategies and knowledge in all 11 health education areas.

토양 특성이 CCA 처리재로부터 방부제 성분의 용탈에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Soil Properties on Leaching of Preservative Components from CCA-treated Wood)

  • 본 연구는 지접부용 처리목재의 지하부에서 발생하는 방부제 유효성분의 용탈에 관한 연구로 토양의 물리 및 화학적 특성이 방부제 유효성분의 용탈에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 수행하였다. CCA 처리 라디에타소나무 시편을 국내의 대표적인 네 가지 토양(미사질양토, 양토, 사질양토, 사토)에 매립하여 12주간의 용탈기간 동안 토양이 항상 물로 포화된 상태가 유지되도록 토양 용탈시험을 실시하였으며, 토양 용탈시험 결과와 비교할 목적으로 물 용탈시험을 병행하여 실시하였다. 토양 종류에 따른 처리목채로부터 방부제 유효성분의 용탈을 차이가 관찰되었으나 토양 용탈은 물 용탈보다 유효성분의 용탈율이 낮았다. CCA 처리목재로부터 크롬, 구리, 비소 용탈율은 각각 사질양토, 양토, 사토에서 가장 높았으며, 모든 유효성분의 용탈율이 미사질양토에서 가장 낮았다. 토양의 물리 및 화학적 특성과 용탈율 간의 관계를 살펴본 결과, 방부제 유효성분의 용탈율이 토양 특성에 의해 매우 상이하게 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었다. CCA 처리목재로부터 구리 용탈은 토양내 치환성 마그네슘 및 염기총량의 영향을 받았다. CCA 처리목재로부터 크롬 용탈은 토양내 치환성 마그네슘($Mg^{2+}$) 함량의 영향을 받았으며, 비소 용탈은 토양내 치환성 칼륨($K^+$), 중금속인 니켈(Ni), 망간(Mn), 철(Fe), 크롬(Cr), 구리(Cu) 함량의 영향을 받았다. 본 연구 결과와 기존 연구 결과들 간에, 그리고 기존 연구결과들 간에도 토양 특성과 방부제 유효성분 용탈율 간의 관계가 서로 상이하게 보고되고 있다. 따라서 앞으로 이에 대한 보다 심도 있는 연구가 필요하리라 판단된다. 또한 실험실 규모의 용탈시험을 통해 얻은 본 연구의 결과를 입증하기 위해서 수분 조건과 토양 미생물의 종류와 분포가 상이한 실제 야외 지접부 환경에서의 연구가 반드시 필요하다.

Biofilm Formation Characteristics of Major Foodborne Pathogens on Polyethylene and Stainless Steel Surfaces

  • 식중독 미생물이 polyethylene과 stainless steel의 표면에서 biofilm을 형성하는 특성에 대하여 온도와 시간이 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 식중독 미생물 6종(Bacillus cereus, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Salmonella Typhimurium) 32균주를 대상으로 예비실험을 하여 각 종별로 biofilm 형성능이 강한 1균주씩을 선발하였다. 시험한 식중독 미생물 6종 모두 온도가 증가함에 따라 biofilm 형성능이 증가하였으며, 식중독 미생물의 종류와 polyethylene 및 stainless steel의 표면에 따른 차이는 일관된 경향을 나타내지 않았다. E. coli와 P. aeruginosa가 polyethylene 표면에서 biofilm을 형성하는 능력은 stainless steel 표면에서 보다 유의적으로 높았다. 식중독 미생물은 표면에 균을 접종했을 때 바로 biofilm을 형성하였으며, E. coli, P. aeruginosa 및 S. Typhimurium은 접종 1시간 후에 모든 표면에서 biofilm을 형성하였다. Biofilm 형성 7일 후, S. aureus를 제외한 나머지 균주는 polyethylene과 stainless steel 표면에서 생존률에 차이가 없었다. 시험한 6종의 식중독 미생물의 경우 biofilm을 형성하는 능력은 균의 종류 및 polyethylene과 stainless steel 표면에 따라 다르게 나타났다.
