The quality of apartment houses has been gradually upgraded. However the changes in demographic composition of residents such as seniors, disabled persons, and etc. have not been considered in the process of planning. If apartment houses are designed on the base of the concept of universal design, their residents could live as long as they want to live in. This study evaluates the Korean standard-sized apartment housing units and the common spaces of those apartment buildings, and it's outdoor environments from the perspective of universal design. The observation and measuring was conducted with the questionnaire survey with 100 residents living in those housing units. 60 items were designed for evaluating them in relation to the principles of universal design. The results are as follows : 1) In general, the principles of universal design were relatively applied to the apartment houses. However their application needs to be broadened. 2) The number of parking lots needs to be increased and the width of individual parking lot to be increased. Also, the location of gazebo and senior center needs to be placed in easily accessible areas. 3) The shape, color, finishes of the ramp and the entrance area of the apartment building and housing unit should be made more homelike. Also, the entrance area of apartment building and housing unit needs to be made large enough for residents themselves and meeting with neighbors. 4) Among all of the rooms in a housing unit, bathroom should be improved immediately. Also, the width of doors should be at least 80cm wide and the floor should be made even.

세계는 급속도로 고령화가 되고 있고, 이러한 고령화 사회에서 국내 노인이 일상생활에서 겪는 건강관리문제와 감염 관리를 위한 종합적인 대책이 시급하다. 유니버셜 디자인은 노인들을 위한 지지적, 수용가능, 접근가능한 안전한 디자인이다. 본 연구에서 유니버셜 디자인 관점에서 노인 감염 관리를 위한 모바일 어플리케이션 개발 가이드라인을 제시하고자 했다. 본 연구의 유니버셜 디자인 관점에서 '보편적 접근성', '손쉬운 이용', '적은 물리적 노력', '시각화된 언어', '질병관리본부 수칙'은 노인에게 중요한 가이드라인이다. 따라서, 본 연구의 유니버셜 디자인을 이용한 모바일 어플리케이션 개발 가이드라인들은 노인의 건강정보이해능력을 증가시켜 감염 관리 실천행위가 증강되는데 필수적이라고 생각된다.

오늘날과 같이 방대한 정보에의 접근 및 이용이 가능한 정보사회에서 공공도서관이 다양한 유형의 이용자에게 원하는 정보를 제공하기 위해서는 보편성 측면에서 유니버설디자인 원리를 적용한 서비스의 제공이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 공공도서관이 본래의 목적에 부합하는 서비스를 제공하고 있는지를 평가하기 위해 6개 평가영역, 10개 평가항목, 41개 평가내용으로 구성된 유니버설디자인 원리에 기초한 공공도서관 서비스의 보편성 평가지표를 개발하였다. 그리고 41개 평가내용에 대해 유니설디자인 적용의 5요소인 '보편성, 편의성, 인지성, 안전성, 경제성' 중 평가지표의 특성에 따라 적용 가능한 요소를 설정하였다.

In Korea, the Basic Act is guaranteed through the "Act on the Guarantee of Convenience Promotion for Disabled Persons, the Elderly, Pregnant Women, etc." and various ordinances. In order to improve this situation, it is necessary to introduce Universal Design (UD). By applying this where it is most needed, access to cultural properties is enhanced to promote multiple rights. Currently, the region with the largest population of the elderly in Korea is Gyeonggi-do, but the region with the highest proportion of the elderly is Jeolla-do. However, the Jeolla-do area is lagging behind in the revision of UD regulations or guidelines. Taking this into consideration and introducing it to each facility will also help to achieve balanced national development. In order to establish and apply effective universal design-related policies, it is necessary to diagnose the aspects of social change that affect our lives. In this study, the need for UD should be expanded as a basis for expanding social activities of socially disadvantaged people in Jeollabuk-do. Its goal is to diagnose the current status of UD and to suggest directions for application of improvements.

Phosphorescent OLED technology is a core technology driver for OLED display and lighting products due to the inherent and demonstrated efficiency advantages. Here we present recent results in our continued advancements of PHOLED power efficiency and operational stability with focus on narrowing emission line-width, reducing voltage, and overall design for maximizing device lifetime.

유니버설디자인은 사물을 관찰하는 것으로부터 시작된다. 일상에서 무심코 사용하고 있는 음료용기를 통해 지금까지 발견할 수 없었던 모순이나 불합리성을 인식하고 유니버설디자인을 실천하기 위하여 문제점 도출과 방법에 대하여 사례를 통하여 제시하고자 한다. 최근 음료용기에 대한사용자는 어린이와 노인, 여성과 남성, 일반인과 장애인 등 다양한 계층의 사람들이 사용하고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 제품들과 마찬가지로 음료용기의 설계는 건강하고 평범한 남자를 기준으로 표준화되어 있어 그 기준에 못 미치는 사람 즉, 어린이나 장애인은 Cap을 열 수 없거나 외부의 도움 없이는 마실 수 없는 상황에 처하는 경우가 많다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점들에 착목하여 유니버설 디자인의 관점에서 음료용기를 대상으로 어린이에서부터 고령자에 이르기까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과로는 문제점에 대한 정량과 정성적 평가를 하였으며 정량적으로는 설문지 결과를 토대로 빈도분석, 카이스퀘어 검증($X^2$)을 활용하였고 정성적으로는 선행연구결과 자료를 통하여 유니버설디자인 원칙에서 결과를 지적하였다, 그 대안으로써는 음료용기 디자인을 하기 위하여 유니버설디자인의 방법을 개념적 접근에서 사례를 통하여 제시하였다.

오늘날의 공공도서관 이용 주체는 매우 다양화 되어가고 있으며, 다양한 연령 및 신체 조건의 이용자들을 고려하고 보다 편리하고, 쾌적한 환경을 갖춘 공공도서관을 만들기 위해 유니버설디자인의 필요성이 중요하게 인식되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 공공도서관의 공용공간을 유니버설디자인의 원칙을 기준으로 서울시에 위치한 공공도서관 33개소를 대상으로 한 실태조사를 통해 적용 수준을 분석하고 개선방향을 다음과 같이 제시한다. 첫째, 유니버설디자인의 적용수준이 낮은 '쉽게 인지할 수 있는 정보'와 관련한 환경을 우선적으로 개선하여야 할 것이다. 둘째, 보다 수준 높은 유니버설디자인 환경을 만들기 위해서는 설계단계부터 이를 적용하는 것이 중요하다. 셋째, '사용상의 융통성' 관련 환경은 국내의 법적인 규제에 적용되는 항목이 적어 환경 수준을 제고하기 어려운 측면이 있으므로 도서관을 이용하는 이용자 전체에 대한 세심한 배려와 인식이 선행되어야 할 것이다.
