중환자실 간호사의 이직의도 예측요인 (Predictive Factors of Turnover Intention among Intensive Care Unit Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand morality identity, occupational stress and authentic leadership and identify factors contributing to turnover intention among intensive care unit (ICU) nurses. Methods: Data were collected from 230 nurses at the university hospitals in Daegu, Ulsan and Busan between February 15 and March 23, 2017. Instruments measuring turnover intention, moral identity, occupational stress, and authentic leadership were utilized. Statistical analysis included t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlational analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: A total of 207 nurses in ICU participated in this study. The power of explanation with age and dependents on turnover intention was 4.1%. With inclusion of occupational stress, moral identity, and authentic leadership factors put into the model, further 20.4% was explained. The explanatory power of the turnover intention in the final model was 23.6% (F=11.63 p<.001), and occupational stress was the key factor explaining turnover intention (${\beta}=.28$, p<.001). Predictive factors contributing to turnover intention were age, occupational stress, moral identity, and authentic leadership in final model. Conclusion: These findings demonstrated occupational stress, moral identity and authentic leadership as critical factors contributing turnover intention of ICU nurses. It is necessary to promote nursing manager's authentic leadership, and to encourage moral identity in ICU nurses. In addition, providing intervention programs to reduce occupational stress for ICU nurses is necessary.

고리1호기 가동이력을 고려한 손상 배플포머볼트 방사화 계산 (Radioactivity Calculation Considering Kori Unit 1 Operation History for the Defected Baffle Former Bolts)

  • The defected baffle former bolts of Kori unit 1 were withdrawn to analyze the cause of damage and gamma-ray measurement is being scheduled. Prior to that, in order to calculate the specific radioactivity value of the baffle former bolt, a radioactivity calculation method considering the actual operation history of the nuclear power plant is introduced and the calculation results are shown. In particular, the radioactivity calculation method considering the operation history is obtained by defining the monthly contribution factor from the actual monthly operation history. As a result, the results considering operation history are 16-28% lower than the general radioactivity calculation results. These results can contribute to establish a reasonable but economical strategy when planning nuclear power plant decommissioning.

  • In this paper, Hopfield & Tank model-like artificial neural network structure is proposed, which can be used for the optimal path planning problems such as the unit commitment problems or the maintenance scheduling problems which have been solved by the dynamic programming method or the branch and bound method. To construct the structure of the neural network, an energy function is defined, of which the global minimum means the optimal path of the problem. To avoid falling into one of the local minima during the optimization process, the simulated annealing method is applied via making the slope of the sigmoid transfer functions steeper gradually while the process progresses. As a result, computer(IBM 386-AT 34MHz) simulations can finish the optimal unit commitment problem with 10 power units and 24 hour periods (1 hour factor) in 5 minites. Furthermore, if the full parallel neural network hardware is contructed, the optimization time will be reduced remarkably.

  • This paper suggests an example of modification of the durability test specifications of electronic control unit for an automotive system in phase of design validation. The basic concept to redefine the specifications of durability test is based on the Arrhenius relationship for accelerated temperature test and the modified Coffin-Manson model for temperature cycle test. The ambient temperature of the powered-event durability test is increased to reduce the required test time of the current specification. Furthermore, the holding time between the events to cool down the temperature of the components is shortened and the resultant temperature rise affects the durability of the components. Thus, the acceleration factor due to the increased temperature range of temperature cycle is also estimated by the modified Coffin-Manson model.

  • Capacitor switching is essential for the economic operation, and proper voltage control of KOREA electric utility distribution system. Voltage transients produced by capacitor switching (around 2.0 per unit at substation and 2.5 or less per unit at customer site, and lasting less then 1ms) do not have the magnitude or duration to interfere with the operation of computers, but they do disrupt the operation of adjustable speed drivers. The result of our research, ASD manufacturers should team from the computer industry and design products that will operate satisfactory in the electrical envelopment in which they will be placed. In this case history, the inductors on the input to ADSs in order to prevent nuisance tripping from capacitor switching(and other causes within the apartment) proved to be an effective, low-cost solution.

  • The pilot system for radioactive liquid laundry waste was developed with treatment capacity, 1ton/hr and set up in the Yong Kwang unit #4. The system is composed of tank module, RO systems and a UV/$H_2O$$_2$photo-oxidation unit. The RO system consists of the BW unit (low-pressure RO for brackish water desalination) and the SW unit (high-pressure RO for seawater desalination). The BW unit possesses 4 RO membranes and it can reduce the feed water volume down to 1/10. This concentrated feed water can be reduced again up to 1/10 in its volume in the SW unit composed of 4 RO membranes. The UV/$H_2O$$_2$ photo-oxidation process unit was used for the detergent degradation. The operation of the pilot system was carried out and verified in its capability through the continuous operation and concentration operation using the actual liquid waste from the power plant. The design criteria and data for industrialization were yielded. The efficiency of the UV/$H_2O$$_2$ photo-oxidation process and the optimum operational procedure were evaluated. The decontamination factors for radioactive cobalt and cesium were measured. This on-site test showed the experimental result in the DF$\geq$300 and volume reduction factor$\geq$100.

  • Development of a small gas-turbine combustor for 100kW class APU(Auxiliary Power Unit) has been performed. This combustor is a reverse-annular type and has a tangential swirler in the liner head to improve the fuel/air mixing and flame stability. Three main and three pilot fuel injectors of the simplex pressure-swirl type are used. The performance target at the design condition includes a turbine inlet temperature of 1170K, a combustion efficiency of 99%, a pattern factor of 30%, and an engine durability of 3000 hours. Under developing the combustor, we conducted performance test of our first prototype(TS1) with some variants. As a result of the test, the performance targets of the combustor are satisfied except that the pattern factor is about 4% higher than target value. So, we redesigned the second prototype(TS2) and conduct performance test with the critical focus on pattern factor and exit mean temperature. We adopted TS2 four variant to check the improvement of pattern factor. As the result, the pattern factors of several variants were satisfied with the performance target. Finally, We chose the TS2A variant as a final combustor for our APU model.

  • In this paper, a new algorithm of Integrated Volt/Var Control (IVVC) is proposed using Volt/Var control for the Distribution Automation System (DAS) based on the modeling of the distributed load and the distributed current. In the proposed, the load flow based on the modeling of the distributed load with Distributed Generation and the distributed current are estimated from constants of four terminals using the measurement of the current and power factor from a Feeder Remote Terminal Unit (FRTU). For Integrated Volt/Var Control (IVVC), the gradient method is applied to find optimal solution for tap and capacity control of OLTC (On-Load Tap Changers), SVR (Step Voltage Regulator), and SC (Shunt Condenser). What is more Volt/Var control method is proposed using moving the tie switch as well as IVVC algorithm using power utility control. In the case studies, the estimation and simulation network have been testified in Matlab Simulink.

  • 본 논문에서는 교량의 건전도 감시용 계측 유닛에 사용되는 충전시스템을 위한 교량의 상시진동을 이용한 자립형 진동발전기에 대하여 연구하였다. 본 연구에서는 전기자 반작용의 영향을 최소화한 진동발전기를 제안하고, 기계적 및 전기적인 설계식을 유도한 다음, 시험용 진동발전기를 제작하였다. 아울러, 실내 자유진동 실험을 수행하였고, 축전시스템에 대한 실험 결과, 정류기에 사용된 다이오드 특성이 충전과정에서 지배적임을 확인하였다. 또한, 남해대교의 진동 데이터를 Pilot 발전기에 적용하여 시뮬레이션 한 결과 진동발전기의 적용성과 효용성을 확인할 수 있었다.

Water Footprint 개념을 이용한 가전제품의 수자원 사용량 산정 (세탁기를 중심으로) (A Study on the Evaluation of Water Consumption in Electric Appliances using Water Footprint - Focusing on Washing Machine -)

  • In this study, by using the Water footprint technique, the water consumption by washing machines, which holds higher ranks in using water than any other electric appliances, was analyzed during their life cycle. The life cycle is defined as raw materials production step, manufacturing step, and using step. In raw materials production step, Input materials were researched by using LCI DB(Life Cycle Inventory Database) and the water consumption was calculated with consideration of approximately 65% Input materials which were based weight. In manufacturing step, the water consumption was calculated by the amount of energy used in assembly factories and components subcontractors and emission factor of energy. In using step, referring to guidelines on carbon footprint labeling, the life cycle is applied as 5 years for a washing machine and 218 cycles for annual bounds of usage. The water and power consumption for operating was calculated by referring to posted materials on the manufacture's websites. The water consumption by nation unit was calculated with the result of water consumption by a unit of washing machine. As a result, it shows that water consumption per life cycle s 110,105 kg/unit. The water consumption of each step is 90,495 kg/unit for using, 18,603 kg for raw materials production and 1,006 kg/unit for manufacturing, which apparently shows that the using step consume the most water resource. The water consumption by nation unit is 371,269,584tons in total based on 2006, 83,385,649 tons in both steps of raw material production and manufacturing, and 287,883,935 tons in using step.
