[ $Pb(Zr_{0.8}Ti_{0.2})TiO_3$ ] powder were prepared by the sol-gel method using a solution of Pb-acetate, Zr n-propoxide and Ti iso-propoxide. PZT thick film were fabricated by the screen printing method. and then the structural properties as a function of the sintering temperature were studied. PZT film thickness, obtained by four screen printing, was approximately $70{\sim}90{\mu}m$. The PZT thick film, sintered at $1050^{\circ}C$, showed deuse and uniform grain stractures and percent porosity of the thick film was 25.43%.
Multi-step induction heating process was applied to the powder compact melting technique as a new heating process to achieve pinpoint accuracy, faster cycle time, repeatability, non-contact and energy-efficient heat in a minimal amount of time. The objective of this study is the establishment of the input data diagram of multi step induction heating process for automation of the fabrication process of 6061 Al foams with desired density. At first, proper induction coil was designed to obtain a uniform temperature distribution over the entire cross sectional area of specimen. By using this coil, foaming experiments were performed to investigate the multi-step induction heating conditions such as capacity, temperature and time conditions of each heating and holding step. On the basis of the obtained multi-step induction heating conditions, relationship between final heating temperature and fraction of porosity was investigated.
The primary objective of this study is to examine the influence of geometry on the stability characteristics of cylindrical microstructures. This investigation entails a stability analysis of a bi-directional functionally graded (BD-FG) cylindrical imperfect concrete beam, focusing on the impact of geometry. Both the first-order shear deformation beam theory and the modified coupled stress theory are employed to explore the buckling and dynamic behaviors of the structure. The cylinder-shaped imperfect beam is constructed using a porosity-dependent functionally graded (FG) concrete material, wherein diverse porosity voids and material distributions are incorporated along the radial axis of the beam. The radius functions are considered in both uniform and nonuniform variations, reflecting their alterations along the length of the beam. The combination of these characteristics leads to the creation of BD-FG configurations. In order to enable the assessment of stability using energy principles, a numerical technique is utilized to formulate the equations for partial derivatives (PDEs).

Porous ceramics were manufactured using the foaming method for the development of inorganic insulating materials. Silica fume and SiO2 were used as main raw materials, and bentonite was used as a rapid setting agent for uniform structure formation of porous ceramics. The porous ceramics were sintered at 1200℃, and porosity, density, compressive strength, microstructure and thermal conductivity were analyzed. As the content of silica fume to SiO2 of the porous ceramics increased 70 to 90 %, the specific gravity increased from 0.63 to 0.69, and the compressive strength increased from 9.41 Mpa to 12.86 Mpa. But, the porosity showed a tendency to decrease from 72.07 % to 70.82 %, contrary to the specific gravity. As a result of measuring the thermal conductivity, the porous ceramic with a silica fume content of 70 % showed a thermal conductivity of 0.75 to 0.72 W/m·K at 25 to 800℃, respectively, and, another that a silica fume content of 90 % showed a 0.66~0.86 W/m·K. So the lower the silica f ume content, the lower the thermal conductivity, which was conf irmed to be consistent with porosity result. As a result of microstructure analysis using SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope), pores in the range of tens to hundreds ㎛ were observed inside and outside the porous ceramic, and it was confirmed that the pore distribution was relatively uniform.
The present paper is devoted to the modeling method based on an averaging approach for thermal analysis of microchannel heat sinks subjected to the uniform wall temperature condition. Solutions for velocity and temperature distributions are presented using the averaging approach. When the aspect ratio of the microchannel is higher than 1, these solutions accurately evaluate thermal resistances of heat sinks. Asymptotic solutions for velocity and temperature distributions at the high-aspect-ratio limit are alsopresented by using the scale analysis. Asymptotic solutions are simple, but shown to predict thermal resistances accurately when the aspect ratio is higher than 10. The effects of the aspect ratio and the porosity on the friction factor and the Nusselt number are presented. Characteristics of the thermal resistance of microchannel heat sinks are also discussed.

Barrier ribs for PDP(plasma display panel) are commonly utilized to have uniform height and width and to prevent opical crosstalk between adjacent cells. The requirements for such barrier ribs are uniform height and shape, low outgassing rate and low porosity, high aspect ratio, and fine resolution. In this study, we are studied about that to make efficiency of material and high quality barrier ribs for PDP. As a result, could got high barrier ribs of $140{\mu}m$ evenly in 1th phenomenon using watersoluble UV curing resin and know that flatness of upper part is also very good.

Dynamic characteristics of a scale-dependent porous metal foam cylindrical shell under a traveling load have been explored within this article based on a numerical approach. Within the material texture of the metal foams, uniform and non-uniform porosities may be dispersed. Based upon differential quadrature method (DQM) and Laplace transforms, the equations of motion for a shear deformable scale-dependent shell may be solved numerically. Scale-dependent shell modeling has been provided based upon strain gradient elasticity. Solving the equations will give the shell deflection as a function of load speed. Also, it is reported that shell deflection relies on the porosity dispersion and strain gradient influences.
A model describing the reaction rate and catalyst deactivation in a simplified reaction system was developed to investigate the significance of catalyst pore structure in terms of porosities, porosity ratios, and size ratios of reactants to pores. The model showed that the unimodal catalyst could give a better performance than the bimodal in certain circumstances and the crossover found in the reactivity curves resulted from a trade-off between surface area and diffusivity. Under the assumption of uniform coke buildup, the bimodal catalyst appeared to provide better resistance to deactation than unimodal catalyst.

Metal foams have a cellular structure consisting of a solid metal containing a large volume fraction of pores. In particular, open, penetrating pores are necessary for industrial applications such as in high temperature filters and as a support for catalysts. In this study, Fe foam with above 90% porosity and 2 millimeter pore size was successfully fabricated by a slurry coating process and the pore properties were characterized. The Fe and $Fe_2O_3$ powder mixing ratios were controlled to produce Fe foams with different pore size and porosity. First, the slurry was prepared by uniform mixing with powders, distilled water and polyvinyl alcohol(PVA). After slurry coating on the polyurethane(PU) foam, the sample was dried at $80^{\circ}C$. The PVA and PU foams were then removed by heating at $700^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours. The debinded samples were subsequently sintered at $1250^{\circ}C$ with a holding time of 3 hours under hydrogen atmosphere. The three dimensional geometries of the obtained Fe foams with an open cell structure were investigated using X-ray micro CT(computed tomography) as well as the pore morphology, size and phase. The coated amount of slurry on the PU foam were increased with $Fe_2O_3$ mixing powder ratio but the shrinkage and porosity of Fe foams were decreased with $Fe_2O_3$ mixing powder ratio.
Agarose gels can be used as reference standards for the measurement of fluid properties in porous media because the relaxation properties of the gel reference standard and those of the fluid in porous media can be closely matched. The use of reference standard to determine porosity and saturation is discussed and the requirements for gel NMR properties given. The relaxtion times of agarose gels measured at 2.0 Tesla are illustrated as a function of agarose and paramagnetic impurity ($CuSO_4$) concentrations. This work shows an empirical result between agarose gel composition and gel relaxtion times. The average value for the porosity distribution is 17.7%, which compares well with the value calculated with the gravimetric analysis. Finally, two phase immiscible displacement using agarose gels as a reference standard was performed. The saturation profiles appear to be consistent with what one might calculate for a one-dimensional displacement in a uniform porous media.
