  • The physicochemical activities of the underground parts of Roso rugosa Thunb (Rosaceae) , which have been used as an antidiabetic in the folkmedicines of Korea , was carried outThe methanol extract from this plant reduced serum Lipid Level the normal rat . When various fractions from the methanol extract was administered to the rat treated with 1% choholesterol and 0.5% cholic aciddiet , the ethyl acetate soluble fraction lowered the serum triglycerideand phospholipid level most remarkably.

토양산성화가 봉선화(Impatiens balsamina L.) 및 만수국(Tagetes patula L.)의 생장에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Soil Acidification on Growth of Impatiens balsamina L. and Tagetes patula L. Plants)

  • To investigate the effects of soil acidification on growth of Impatiens balsamina L. plants were transplanted to acidified soils with H$_2$SO$_4$ solution. The concentrations of soluble Ca, Mg, K, Al and Mn in the acidified soils increased with increment of H$^{+}$ addition to the soil. In both species, the plant height and root length were inhibited by soil acidification, showing much severer inhibition in Impatiens balsamina L. than in Tagetes patula L., As the soil pH decreases, the growth of underground parts decreased greatly than that of above ground parts in both species. Total dry weight decreased with increased Al concentration as well as lowered soil pH in both plants. There was a strong positive correlation between relative total dry weight and molar (Ca+Mg+K) / Al ratio of the soil. The results suggest that molar(Ca+Mg+K)/ Al ratio of the soil may be useful indicator for assessing the critical load of acid deposition in herb species.s.

대구지역 공중위생법 규제대상시설의 실내공기중 입자상 오염물질의 계절별 및 지점별 농도분포 특성 (Seasonal and Locational Concentrations of Particulate Air Pollutants in Indoor Air of Public Facilities in Taegu Area)

  • In this study, airborne particle samples were obtained to determine the concentrations of particulate air pollutants in indoor and outdoor air of public facilities in Taegu area. Total of 12 public facilities, regulated by the Public Sanitary Law, were selected as sampling sites, which include three underground arcades, one railway and two bus terminals, three general hospitals, and three department stores. In each place, sampling was carried out seasonally during the period of October 1994 to July 1995, and four samples per each site per season were collected both indoors and outdoors simultaneously. After determination of suspended particulate matter (SPM) mass concentrations, the particle samples were divided into two parts for subsequent chemical analysis: one for the analysis of trace elements and the other for water soluble ions. Seasonal levels of SPM appeared to be the highest in spring and the lowest in summer both indoors and outdoors, while locational variations of highest in statioyterminals, and lowest in department stores . SPM concentrations indoors and outdoors did not show any significant differences each other in most places . However, there were significant correlations between indoor and outdoor levels of SPM and other chemical species . These results indicates that indoor SPM levels are likely to be significantly affected by outdoor sources in many places. The most significant source of SPM was estimated to be the resuspension of soil/road dust both indoors and outdoors . The concentrations of toxic heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cr, Cu) in underground arcades appeared to be very much lower than the established air quality guidelines for underground environments. In addition, it is likely that micro-environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, and air velocity, play a less significant role than outdoor air quality as a factor affecting the levels of particulate pollutants in indoor environments of public facilities in Taegu area.

  • 국토의 65 % 이상이 산악으로 구성된 이유로 90년대 이후 산악지형의 암반을 대상으로 한 대규모 교통터널, 에너지 비축시설 및 산업용 저장소와 같은 대형 토목구조물의 필요성이 크게 증가하고 있다. 암반내 시공되는 토목 구조물의 설계과정에서 현지 암반의 초기응력장에 대한 정량적인 자료가 주요한 핵심요소로 작용하며 이러한 초기응력장에 대한 제반 정보를 획득하기 위한 목적으로 국내에서는 정밀 지반조사 과정에서 수압파쇄법이 대표적으로 사용되고 있다, 본 논문에서는 국내 각지의 산악지형에서 얻어진 수압파쇄시험 현장 측정 자료들에 대한 해석결과를 바탕으로 국내 산악지형의 암반내 초기응력 분포 특성에 대한 분석을 수행하였다.

굴착 잔토를 재활용한 지중전력구조물 뒷채움재의 역학적 특성 (Mechanical Characteristics of Accelerated Flowable Backfill Materials Using Surplus Soil for Underground Power Utilities)

  • 본 연구에서는 급결성 유동화 뒷채움 재료의 역학적 특성을 파악하여 토질 조건에 따른 배합비 설계 기준을 제시하고 거동 특성을 파악하는데 그 목적이 있다. 국내 토질 여건을 고려하여 사질토(SW-SM)에 자갈과 점토의 혼합비를 차별적으로 적용하여 사질토는 SP와 SW-SM, 점토는 CH, 그리고 혼합토는 SW-SM, SP-SM, SC, 그리고 GP-GM등 총 17종류의 대상토를 선정하였으며 대상토에 고결재료와 물을 혼합하여 급결성 유동화 뒷채움재로 사용하였다. 본 연구결과 고화재의 종류와 양을 차별적으로 적용하여 만든 뒷채움재는 기존의 모래로 다짐된 뒷채움재의 특징인 유지 및 보수를 위한 재굴착성 뿐만 아니라 고유동성, 굴착잔토의 재활용성 등 많은 장점들을 가지고 있어 모래 뒷채움재를 대체 할 수 있다고 판단되어 토질 조건에 따라 배합비 설계기준을 제시하고 거동 특성을 파악하였다.

식용 및 악용 양치식물에서 부위별 추출물의 항산화활성 탐색 (Screening for Antioxidative Activities of Extracts from Aerial and Underground Parts of Some Edible and Medicinal Ferns)

  • 8종의 식용 및 약용 양치식물에서 80% 에탄올을 이용하여 부위별 추출물을 조제한 후 각각의 생리활성물질 및 항산화활성을 조사하였다. 총 폴리페놀 함량은 쇠고비의 근경에서 $57.32mg{\cdot}g^{-1}$로 가장 높았고, 그 다음은 쇠고비의 뿌리>석위 지상부>야산고비 지상부의 순으로 나타났다. 총 플라보노이드 함량은 야산고비의 지상부에서 $27.51mg{\cdot}g^{-1}$로 가장 높았고 야산고비 근경에서 $1.95mg{\cdot}g^{-1}$로 가장 낮았다. DPPH 및 ABTS 라디칼 소거능은 쇠고비의 뿌리 및 근경 추출물에서 가장 높게 조사되었다. 부처손 지하부와 고비 지상부를 제외한 모든 추출물에서 linoleic acid의 산화를 87% 이상 강하게 억제할 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다.

Ginsenosides analysis of New Zealand-grown forest Panax ginseng by LC-QTOF-MS/MS

  • Background: Ginsenosides are the unique and bioactive components in ginseng. Ginsenosides are affected by the growing environment and conditions. In New Zealand (NZ), Panax ginseng Meyer (P. ginseng) is grown as a secondary crop under a pine tree canopy with an open-field forest environment. There is no thorough analysis reported about NZ-grown ginseng. Methods: Ginsenosides from NZ-grown P. ginseng in different parts (main root, fine root, rhizome, stem, and leaf) with different ages (6, 12, 13, and 14 years) were extracted by ultrasonic extraction and characterized by Liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry. Twenty-one ginsenosides in these samples were accurately quantified and relatively quantified with 13 ginsenoside standards. Results: All compounds were separated in 40 min, and a total of 102 ginsenosides were identified by matching MS spectra data with 23 standard references or published known ginsenosides from P. ginseng. The quantitative results showed that the total content of ginsenosides in various parts of P. ginseng varied, which was not obviously dependent on age. In the underground parts, the 13-year-old ginseng root contained more abundant ginsenosides among tested ginseng samples, whereas in the aboveground parts, the greatest amount of ginsenosides was from the 14-year-old sample. In addition, the amount of ginsenosides is higher in the leaf and fine root and much lower in the stem than in the other parts of P. ginseng. Conclusion: This study provides the first-ever comprehensive report on NZ-grown wild simulated P. ginseng.

  • 본 연구에서는 드릴비트 내부 유로의 최적설계를 위하여 암분유동해석을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 암분과 기체의 다상유동해석이 가능한 전산유체역학 코드인 Star-CCM+을 사용하였다. 실제 천공시험으로부터 획득한 결과값을 기체 및 암분의 해석조건으로 적용하였다. 내부 유로 설계에 관련된 핵심인자를 3가지로 결정한 후, 다구찌 기법을 활용한 실험계획법으로부터 3가지 설계인자에 대한 최적값을 조사하였다.

지하자원 채굴용 로봇의 연구 (A study on the robot for mining of underground resources)

  • 지하자원 채굴을 위한 갱도나 협소하고 위험한 공간에서 사람을 대신하여 채굴작업을 수행하는 로봇의 수요가 증가되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 원격 제어형 로봇 및 작업기구를 개발하여 석탄광산에서 원활한 채굴작업을 수행가능한지를 시험 갱도에서 확인하였다. 시험한 결과 개발된 로봇은 주행속도 1.0 km/h, 등판가능 경사도 $10^{\circ}$ 정도임을 확인하였다. 협소한 공간에서 분쇄기의 타격회수 500bpm, 타격력 $30kg_f-m$을 유지해야만 터널에서의 채굴작업이 가능하고, 최대 3시간까지 작업을 수행하기 위해서는 터널 내부의 환경조건을 분석하여 로봇을 충분히 냉각시키는 냉각시스템이 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

Technical-Economical Evaluation of Chain Vertical Alignment in Underground Urban Subways: The Case of Qom Subway, Line A

  • Urban subways are one of the main parts of urban transportation networks in every city that always requires much attention in order to improve its efficiency in aspects of safety, reliability speed and costs. As the viewpoint of costs, an accurate design, especially design of vertical alignment, can have a dominant role to reduce the costs of urban railway projects. This paper seeks to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of designing chain vertical alignment for urban subways in compare to flat vertical alignment. To achieve this goal, line A of Qom subway in Iran was selected as a case study in this research. Five parameters considered in the technical-economical evaluation: (1) energy consumption, (2) rolling stock, (3) operation, (4) civil works and geotechnical and (5) hydrological, drainage and pumping. According to the results, a power saving of about 40% have been estimated in the chain vertical alignment for the train without regenerative braking in compare with the flat vertical alignment, although the power saving was calculated less than 10% for the train with regenerative braking. Finally it was found that due to the modern rolling stock technology, the chain vertical alignment represents fewer advantages in compare to the past years.
