발전용 증기터빈의 Oil Deflector부 탄화물 퇴적에 의한 주기적 고진동 현상 규명 (Examination of the Periodic High Vibration by the Accumulated Carbide at Oil Deflector of a Steam Turbine for Power Plant)

  • The periodic high vibration has been occurred one or two times a day for a 500 MW large steam turbine during 5 months. This abnormal vibration was caused by the rubbing between the rotor and the carbide accumulated on the seal tooth of oil deflector. It was found that the accumulated carbide was insulation material installed on the HIP casing from the examination of the chemical composition. Also, this paper presents the mechanism of the periodic high vibration and the proper method to eliminate this vibration problem. This result would be good practice to find the solution of similar high vibration in the steam turbines for power plant as well as industrial rotating machineries.

  • 3상 4선식 전원공급 시스템에서 단상 및 3상 부하의 운전하에서 전압 불평형은 부하의 불평형 운전에 의해 발생되고, 전류 불평형은 떨어진 전압 품질에 의해 더욱 심해진다. 에너지 변환장치로 사용되는 여러 형태의 컨버터는 3상 4선식 배전시스템에 직접적으로 고조파 전류를 주입함으로서 고조파 왜란을 증가시킨다. 고조파 전류는 전동기 출력 토크를 감소시키고, 전동기를 과열 또는 소음을 증가시키며 회전자에 토크 맥동을 증가하여 기계적인 공진과 진동을 발생하는 등 여러 가지 부작용을 낳고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 3상 4선식 배전시스템에서 선형 및 비선형 부하의 혼합 운전시 불평형과 고조파 성분에 의해 유도전동기의 특성 변화에 대한 연구로서 선형 단독운전, 비선형 부하 결합에 따른 특성 변화를 해석한 것으로서 단상 비선형 부하의 추가 운전시 5 고조파 필터로도 저감이 어려운 고조파로 인해 토크 맥동 횟수는 줄고 리플값은 증가함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Vertical pumps are structurally weak in terms of vibration because of installed heavy motor on top of the pumps in form of cantilever. So high vibration on top of the pumps can occur with low vibration in the bottom. These vibration problems experienced very frequently. Majority of studies have been related to the unbalance of rotating parts or structural resonance. In this paper, we introduce an unusual case, vibration variation caused by VPF(Vane Passing Frequency) according to water level.

  • This paper considers the vibration problem of vehicle driveline which consists of two propeller shafts and the center bearing. The excessive vibration occurs at the center bearing when the vehicle starts to run. Using the kinematic constraints at the universal joint between two propeller shafts, we develop an one d.o.f model which describes the radial motion of the center bearing. We find out the vibration occurs at the specific vehicle speed corresponding to the natural frequency of the model. Comparing the simulation results with test results we also show that the vibration at low vehicle speed is caused primarily by the joint angle and secondarily by the mis-aligned yoke flange rather than by the unbalance.

  • Unwanted vibrations are inevitably induced in other directions when pure unidirectional vibration motion is desired for the vertical scratching mechanism. Pure vertical vibration motion of the scratching machine can be obtained by driving identical two motors with symmetrically positioned eccentric unbalance masses. The desired optimal condition for driving pure vertical vibration for the scratching machine is assumed to be the resonance condition in that direction. Imposing the flexibility of the scratching machine in the horizontal direction, we can find out the amount of horizontal vibration component while maintaining the resonance in vertical direction. The desired stiffness in horizontal direction which produces the minimum vibration in horizontal direction are defined which can be used as a guide line to design the supporting structure of the scratching machine.

  • Vibration/noise analysis as well as strength of gear teeth, roller bearing life. joural bearing design are considered in order to develop the high-speed machine centrifugal pump which had a speed increaser. A Campbell diagram, in which the excitation sources caused by the mass unbalance of the rotors and the transmitted errors of the gearing are considered. shows that. at the operating speed. there are not the critical speed. A high-speed machine centrifugal pump was made in order to evaluate developed speed increaser. Also, strict API standard were introduced for reliability evaluation of developed speed increaser, and performance evaluation were carried out. The result that evaluation items about bearing vibration, shaft vibration, noise, and lubrication temperature were selected, and were tested. a high-speed machine centrifugal pump were able to know what were satisfied with API standard all.

고속 가공기 스핀들의 진동에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Vibration of the Spindle Unit of a High Processing Machine)

  • In this paper, the critical vibration limits of a spindle unit for a high speed ball pen tip processing machine are studied. The vibration of the spindle is measured by FFT, and the influence of the vibration amplitude due to unbalance, bearing deflect, bite, and timing belts tension is analyzed. The critical vibration limits of the spindle is determined by the X, and Z directional vibrations of the spindle. Both FET and RMS values can be used to analyze the vibration characteristics of the spindle. From experimental results the limit line can be drawn for the spindle. The RMS value for the vibration limit is 3 G.

  • Generally the noise and vibration characteristics of 4WD vehicle is closely related to the characteristics of driveline such as bending mode, torsional mode, unbalance and nonuniformity of propeller shaft. In this paper the 4WD vehicle which has body vibration problem in high speed driving condition was tested. The sources of the body vibration and its transfer path are investigated by experimental approach. According to the experimental assessment, the body vibration is caused by the nonuniformity of joint of propeller shaft. And this paper presents a kinematic model of a vehicle driveline for the optimization of a driveline characteristics. Finally the optimized result of the drive line has been verified through the experiment.

산업용 송풍기의 진동저감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Vibration Reduction of an Industrial Fan)

  • Vibrations of a fan are often generated by mechanical unbalance magnetic force and air flow. These vibrations depend on the design of a fan the machining accuracy of each element and assembled conditions. An experimental study is carried out to reduce the vibration and noise of an industrial fan in this paper. In order to identify the vibration sources of a fan the signal analysis and system analysis are performed, It is shown that the industrial fan studied in this paper has a natural frequency at 144 Hz and resonance occurs when the running speed of the fan is 1750 rpm. The results may be helpful to design a fan with low vibration and noise.
