미나리과(科) 식물(植物)의 과실(果實)에 관한 연구(硏究)(XI) -고본에 대하여- (Studies on the Umbelliferous Fruits (XI) -'Kobon' (Korean Gaoben)-)

  • In continuation of studies on the Umbelliferous fruits the inner morphology of 'Kobon' fruit was examined, 'Kobon' is an original plant of Korean Gaoben, its scientific name being given Angelica tenuissima NAKAI or Ligusticum tenuissimum KITAGAWA. The arrangement of vascular bundles is the same as those of the genus Ligusticum or Tilingia and Conioselinum. The tracheids reach nearly the top of the ribs, and this is similar to that of the genus Conioselinum. From these characters and the results of studies on the inner morphology of the fruits of Umbelliferous plants related to 'Kobon,' the origin of 'Kobon' was identified as the genus Conioselinum.

  • 산형과 식물인 방풍, 천궁, 회향, 사상자, 시호, 당귀, 미나리 및 당근을 대상으로 GC/MS를 이용하여 falcarinol의 존재를 검색한 결과 방풍의 뿌리, 미나리의 줄기와 뿌리 및 당근의 뿌리로부터 이 화합물을 동정하였는데 그 함량은 각각 $1,055\;{\mu}g/g$, $289\;{\mu}g/g$, $179\;{\mu}g/g$$212\;{\mu}g/g$이었다. 미나리에서 falcarinol이 발견된 것은 이번이 처음이며 뿌리보다도 줄기에 더 많은 양이 함유되어 있으므로 앞으로 이 화합물의 생리활성 및 생합성 연구에 미나리가 널리 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • The ether extract of Dang-Gui, the dried root of Angelica gigas N$_{AKAI}$, was placed into a column with aluminium oxide gel. The elution of it with a mixture of n-hexane and ethyl acetate afforded Nodakenetin (I) and the elution with a mixture of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, acetone and methyl alcohol yielded Umbelliferon (II) and Nodakenin (III). Three coumarin derivatives were identified by comparing with authentic samples. The existence of sucrose and glucose was also proved.

  • A near infrared (NIR) method was developed to analyze specious diversity for morphologically similar umbelliferous herbal medicine. Cnidium officinale Makino. This herbal medicine has been widely used as 'chungung' without any discrimination of its quality and original plants. though it has the ambiguous origins of plants between various countries especially Korea. China and Japan. It is named by Cnidium officinale Makino in Korea and Japan. in comparison with Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort. in China. (omitted)

  • Isoimperatorin and Oxypeucedanin isolated from root of Angelica Koreana Max. (Umbelliferae) that is used as "Kang-Whal" a botanical drug, in Korea, Show following general pharmacologic activities. The treatment with Oxypeucedanin on the exercised duodenum of the rabbit increased the motility of it while isoimperatorin shows little effects. But on the exercised heart of the frogs, both components depressed its contractility. Whereas Oxypeucedanin depressed both blood pressure of the carotied artery and respiration of the rabbit, Isoimperatorin tends to increase blood pressure, respiration and the tonus of the muscle of the earth worm. Oxypeucedanin did not affect the tonus of the muscles of the earth worm, but depressed the uterus contraction of the rabbit, which was, on the contrary, increased by Isoimperatorin.

  • INTRODUCTION : Psoralens are planar tricyclic furocoumarins present in numerous plants and fungi found throughout the world.' Naturally occurring and synthesized psoralen derivatives(see Figure 1) are photosensitizers of UVA especially from 320 nm to 400 nm, a range at which cellular nucleic acids and proteins are weakly absorbing if any at all. Because of their skinphotosensitizing properties, these compounds have been used in the photochemotherapy of psoriasis and vitiligo. However, undesirable side effects such as carcinoma development in hairless mice as well as possible liver damage from the use of 8-methoxypsoralen(8-MOP) have been reported. The other photobiological effects include inactivation of DNA viruses, killing and mutagenesis of bacteria, inhibition of tumor transmitting capacity of various cells, and hyperpigmentation on human and guinea pig skin. PUVA(psoralen+UVA) photochemotherapy is in fact thousands of years old, having been used in Egypt and India since B.C. 1200-2000. Photochemotherapy for a common disfiguring disease, vitiligo, was practiced in the ancient world by physicians and herbalists who used boiled extracts of the fruits of certain umbelliferous plants, e.g. Ammi majus Linnaeus in Egypt or the leguminous plants, Psoralea corylifolia L. in India. It was first described by Kuske in 19388 that photosensitization of skin by plants was related to the presence of psoralen. He identified natural psoralens in plants as photosensitizers and isolated bergapten(5methoxypsoralen) from the oil of bergamot. The scientific interest in photosensitizing psoralens, however, has grown considerably after the introduction into clinics of the psoralen photochemotherapy for the treatment of psoriasis and of other skin (abbreviation)

분자생물학적 자료에 의한 한국산 개발나물속의 분류학적 고찰 (Taxonomic Review of the Umbelliferous genus Sium L. in Korea: Inferences based on Molecular Data)

  • 핵 리보좀 DNA ITS 구간의 염기서열 정보를 이용하여 한국산 산형과 개발나물속의 분자 계통학적 연구를 수행하였다. ITS 계통수는 한반도 고유종인 대암개발나물(S. heterophyllum)이 한반도에 생육이 보고된바 없는 러시아 우수리지역의 고유종인 S. tenue와 동일한 종임을 밝혔다. ITS 1과 ITS 2 구간의 염기서열 비교시 S. tenue와 인천 문수산에 생육하고 있는 대암개발나물이 100% 일치함을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 ITS 구간의 염기서열은 최근 신종으로 발표된 세잎개발나물(S. ternifolium)이 개발나물속의 다른 분류군과 뚜렷하게 구별됨을 지지하고 있었다. 세잎개발나물은 유연관계가 가장 가까운 일본 고유종 S. serra의 ITS 염기서열 비교시 1.4와 1.6%의 차이점을 가지고 있음이 확인되어 종으로서의 처리가 적합함을 확인할 수 있었다.
