  • This study analyzed the Vulnerability of Network Communication devices when IEMI is coupled with the Network System. An Ultra Wide Band Generator (180 kV, 700 MHz) was used as the IEMI source. The EUTs are the Switch Hub and Workstation, which are used to configure the network system. The network system was monitored through the LAN system configuration, to confirm a malfunction of the network device. The results of the experiment indicate that a malfunction of the network occurs as the electric field increases. The data loss rate increases proportionally with increasing radiating time. In the case of the Switch Hub, the threshold electric field value was 10 kV/m for all conditions used in this experiment. The threshold point causing malfunction was influenced only by the electric field value. The correlation between the threshold point and pulse repetition rate was not found. However, in case of the Workstation, it was found that as the pulse repetition rate increases, the equipment responds weakly and the threshold value decreases. To verify the electrical coupling of the EUT by IEMI, current sensors were used to measure the PCB line inside the EUT and network line coupling current. As a result of the measurement, it can be inferred that when the coupling current due to IEMI exceeds the threshold value, it flows through the internal equipment line, causing a malfunction and subsequent failure. The results of this study can be applied to basic data for equipment protection, and effect analysis of intentional electromagnetic interference.

  • We studied the emission characteristics of white phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PHOLEDs), which were fabricated using a two-wavelength method. The best blue emitting OLED and red emitting OLED characteristics were obtained at a concentration of 12 vol.% FIrpic and 1 vol.% $Bt_2Ir$(acac) in UGH3, respectively. And the optimum thickness of the total emitting layer was 25 nm. To optimize emission characteristics of white PHOLEDs, white PHOLEDs with red/blue/red, blue/red, red/blue and co-doping emitting layer structures were fabricated using a host-dopant system. In case of white PHOLEDs with co-doping structure, the best efficiency was obtained at a structure UGH3: 12 vol. % FIrpic: 1 vol.% $Bt_2Ir$(acac) (25 nm). The maximum brightness, current efficiency, power efficiency, external quantum efficiency, and CIE (x, y) coordinate were 13,430 $cd/m^2$, 40.5 cd/A, 25.3 lm/W, 17 % and (0.49, 0.47) at 1,000 $cd/m^2$, respectively.

  • The automobile industry is representative industry of complex characteristics, which employing 10 million people, the largest manufacturing industry over $1 trillion in sales and assembling with 20,000 parts to make complete automobile and automobile assembly processes have a lower automation rate than other processes, which is labor intensive processes of assembling to painted body with 3,000 components such as seats, built-in, instrument panel, glass, engine, transmission units. However, the current assembly process does not have real-time monitoring. If a tool position tracking system is adapted to assembly process for directing consistent work order and checking for missing work, the productivity and quality improvement of the assembly process can be achieved by preemptively preventing possible defects in the assembly process. So, this paper aims to develop a Tool Position tracking system using UWB(Ultra Wide Band) with trilateration and proves their effectiveness for real-time monitoring of automotive assembly process.

  • In this paper, we describe a method capable of measuring biological signals including respiration, heart rate, blood pressure, and blood sugar, using UWB (Ultra Wide Band) pulses, while does not contact the human body. Physiological signal is a basic data for checking the health. Because life is longer and active area of human becomes very broad, the medical system and the physical human resources which are focused on existing hospital must be located close patient, In that way, they hope be to engage in healthy life by stepping a quick step and treatment. Thus, it must be fitted closely to the patient. It is necessary to monitor the health without inconvenience on an ongoing basis. How to utilize radio waves in this way have been studied for a long time. However, the characteristics of radio waves on the human body has not been accurately grasped and developed as such. Accordingly, it is a level that can not be applied clinically. So, it is not widely put to practical use. In this paper, We analyzed and described the impact and characteristics of UWB pulses to the human body is a problem existing.

  • In this paper, Ultra Wide-Band(UWB) radar sensor is employed to detect flying drones and avoid collision in dense clutter environments. UWB signal is preferred when high resolution range measurement is required for moving targets. However, the time varying motion of flying drones may increase clutter noises in return signals and deteriorates the target detection performance, which lead to the performance degradation of anti-collision radars. We adopt a dynamic clutter suppression algorithm to estimate the time-varying distances to the moving drones with enhanced accuracy. A modified Constant False Alarm Rate(CFAR) is developed using an adaptive filter algorithm to suppress clutter while the false detection performance is well maintained. For this purpose, a velocity dependent CFAR algorithm is implemented to eliminate the clutter noise against dynamic target motions. Experiments are performed against flying drones having arbitrary trajectories to verify the performance improvement.

  • With the expansion of the indoor service-providing robot market and the electrification of automobiles, research on autonomous driving is being actively conducted. In general, in the case of outside, the location is mainly recognized through GPS, and location positioning is performed indoors using technologies such as WiFi, UWB (Ultra-Wide Band), VLP, LiDAR, and Vision. In this paper, we introduce a system for location-positioning using LED lights with different color temperatures in an indoor environment. After installing LED lights in a simulated environment such as a tunnel, it was shown that information about the current location can be obtained through the analysis of chromaticity values according to location. Through this, it is expected to be able to obtain information about the location of the vehicle in the tunnel and the movement of the device in a room such as a warehouse or a factory.

  • The absence of fire fighters' connection to communication can bring about increased loss of life due to errors and delays in rescue and actions and danger to their own safety. Therefore, when communication infrastructure has been destroyed in an enclosed space, it is necessary to set up an emergency wire or wireless telecommunication environment to fire fighting and to secure safer environment to deal with the disaster by checking the location of fire fighters. In this research, for the establishment communication environment in an enclosed inside using Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) wireless communication network, the performance of communication position determination of a single UWB communication module was evaluated regarding 6 kinds of indoor surroundings. When the communication distance in an indoor environment of each 6 channels bandwidth of UWB communication frequency was measured, the results were as follows: the open space (Ave. 15.5 m, Max. 20 m), the corridor (Ave. 17.33 m, Max 20 m), inside retaining home furnishings (Ave. 15.3 m, Max. 20 m), vertical stairs (Ave. 4.33 m, Max. 6 m), horizontal space with a closed fire door (Ave. 6.5 m, Max. 17 m). It was also found out that the communication function and the distance function were best in the frequency range from 6489.6 to 1081.6 MHz by 7 Ch. Accordingly, the establishment of communication environment in an enclosed space is judged to be possible when UWB communication module is set up at 20 m apart and multiple channels are used.

  • Allow me to introduce the development of an FM transmitter. The transmitter uses millmeter waves at the frequency of 60 GHz, and it can produce as much as 20 mW power with the band width of 1 GHz. The great feature of the FM transmitter is that it has been created by the special technique of utilizing the NRD (non radiative dielectric) waveguide. The advantage of adopting the NRD waveguide is that it can significantly reduce transmission loss. We can construct a small-size NRD guide transmitter in a simple way that has superb transmission performance. The NRD guide transmitter is very useful for CATV transmission or transmission over a wide range. In addition, the transmitter has almost the same band width as optical communication, and the data transmission speed of the transmitter is faster than that of optical communication. A transmitter with these merits would be highly appreciated as a way of ultra-highspeed communication network over short distances.
