This paper presents the VHDL implementation procedure of the passive RFID tag operating in Ultra High Frequency. The operation of the tag compatible with the EPCglobal Class1 Generation2(GEN2) protocol is verified by timing simulation after synthesis and implementation. Due to the reading range with relatively large distance, a passive tag needs digital processor which facilitates faster decoding, encoding and state transition for enhancement of an interrogation rate. In order to satisfy linking time, the pipe-line structure is used, which can minimize latency to serial input data stream. We also propose the sampling strategy to decode the Preamble, the Frame-sync and PIE symbols in reader commands. The simulation results with the fastest data rate and multi tags environment scenario show that the VHDL implemented tag performs faster operation than GEN2 proposed.
Wireless communication system for firefighters has an important role as the last communication method between the commander and the firefighters in disaster sites like fire. But the operation of Gyeongnam wireless communication system is installed, and maintained and controlled without criteria for the selection of a transmitting station and the analysis of propagation environment because of the lack of budget and the absence of professional personnel. To improve the performance of the radio station, this paper theoretically calculated free space loss of UHF 400 MHz band used by all firefighters in Gyeongnam and diffractions caused by single and multiple obstacles and computed the error after comparing the results of the actual measurement to those of simulation with FRAS operated by KFL. In the results, Deygout model was the most consistent with the actual measurement for 400MHz band in Kimhae site.

In recent years, the frequency and duration of supply interruption in electric power transmission system due to flashover increase yearly in China. Flashover is usually associated with inadequate electric clearance and often takes place in extreme weathers, such as downbursts, typhoons and hurricanes. The present study focuses on the wind-induced oscillation of conductor during the process when a downburst is passing by or across a specified transmission line. Based on a revised analytical model recently developed for stationary downburst, transient three-dimensional wind fields of moving downbursts are successfully simulated. In the simulations, the downbursts travel along various motion paths according to the certain initial locations and directions of motion assumed in advance. Then, an eight-span section, extracted from a practical 500 kV ultra-high-voltage transmission line, is chosen. After performing a non-linear transient analysis, the transient displacements of the conductors could be obtained. Also, an extensive study on suspension insulator strings' rotation angles is conducted, and the electric clearances at different strings could be compared directly. The results show that both the variation trends of the transient responses and the corresponding peak values vary seriously with the motion paths of downburst. Accordingly, the location of the specified string, which is in the most disadvantageous situation along the studied line section, is picked out. And a representative motion path is concluded for reference in the calculation of each string's oscillation for the precaution of wind-induced flashover under downburst.

In this paper, we propose a method of compressing digital hologram standardized data provided by JPEG Pleno. In numerical reconstruction of digital holograms, the addition of random phases for visualization reduces speckle noise due to interference and doubles the compression efficiency of holograms. Holograms are composed of completely complex floating point data, and due to ultra-high resolution and speckle noise, it is essential to develop a compression technology tailored to the characteristics of the hologram. First, frequency characteristics of hologram data are analyzed using various wavelet filters to analyze energy concentration according to filter types. Second, we introduce the subband selection algorithm using energy concentration. Finally, the JPEG2000, SPIHT, H.264 results using the Daubechies 9/7 wavelet filter of JPEG2000 and the proposed method are used to compress and restore, and the efficiency is analyzed through quantitative quality evaluation compared to the compression rate.

P(VDF-TrFE-CFE) (Poly (vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene-chlorofluoroethylene)), which exhibits a high electrostriction of about 7%, can transmit tactile output as vibration or displacement. In this study, we investigated the applicability of P(VDF-TrFE-CFE) to wearable piezoelectric actuators. The P(VDF-TrFE-CFE) layers were deposited through spin-coating, and interspaced with patterned Ag electrodes to fabricate a two-layer $3.5mm{\times}3.5mm$ device. This layered structure was designed and fabricated to increase the output and displacement of the actuator at low driving voltages. In addition, a laser vibrometer and piezoelectric force microscope were used to analyze the device's vibration characteristics over the range of ~200~4,200 Hz. The on-off characteristics were confirmed at a frequency of 40 Hz.
The Inter Communication System for avionics is in charge of processing all voice signals that internal calls between Pilot and Co-pilot, internal calls between Pilots and Crews, external calls through communication equipment such as Ultra/Very High Frequency Receiver/Transmitter(U/VHF RT), audio signal monitoring for navigation and mission equipment such as VHF Omnidirectional Range/Instrument Landing System(VOR/ILS), Tactical Air Navigation(TACAN), audio signal output for voice recording to Flight Data Recorder(FDR) and Data Transfer System(DTS), and warning/caution audio signal generate about the status and threat of aircraft. Because Inter Communication System for avionics is sensitive to noise in the case of analog audio signals, a redundant design that can protect audio signal from electromagnetic noise inside/outside of aircraft is required for the mission of pilots and crews. In this paper, Normal/Back-up operation mode and redundancy design plan based on digital method for the redundancy of the digital Inter Communication System for avionics and manufacturing, verification results are described.
In this paper, the possibility of a terrestrial fixed 4K UHD (Ultra High Definition) and mobile HD (High Definition) convergence broadcasting service through a single channel employing the FEF (Future Extension Frame) multiplexing technique in DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting)-T2 (Second Generation Terrestrial) systems is examined. The performance of such a service is also investigated. FEF multiplexing technology can be used to adjust the FFT (fast Fourier transform) and CP (cyclic prefix) size for each layer, whereas M-PLP (Multiple-Physical Layer Pipe) multiplexing technology in DVB-T2 systems cannot. The convergence broadcasting service scenario, which can provide fixed 4K UHD and mobile HD broadcasting through a single terrestrial channel, is described, and transmission requirements of the SHVC (Scalable High Efficiency Video Coding) technique are predicted. A convergence broadcasting transmission system structure is described by employing FEF and transmission technologies in DVB-T2 systems. Optimized transmission parameters are drawn to transmit 4K UHD and HD convergence broadcasting by employing a convergence broadcasting transmission structure, and the reception performance of the optimized transmission parameters under AWGN (additive white Gaussian noise), static Brazil-D, and time-varying TU (Typical Urban)-6 channels is examined using computer simulations to find the TOV (threshold of visibility). From the results, for the 6 and 8 MHz bandwidths, reliable reception of both fixed 4K UHD and mobile HD layer data can be achieved under a static fixed and very fast fading multipath channel.
The 25 Watt hybrid MIC SSPA has been developed in the frequency rang from 1.6265 GHz to 1.6465 GHz for uplink of INMARST's earth station. To simplify the fabrication process, the whole system is designed of two parts composed of a friving amplifier and a power amplifier. The Motorolas MRF-6401 is used for driving part, the Motorolas MRF-16006 and MRF-16030 is used the power amplifier. We reduced weight and volume of high power amplifier through arranging the bias circuits in the same housing. The realized SSPA has more than 30 dB for gain within 20 MHz bandwidth, and the voltage standing wave ratios(VSWR) of input and output port are less than 1.7, respectively. The output power of 44 dBm is achieved at the 1 dB gain compression point of 106365 GHz These results reveal a high power amplifier of 25 Watt which is the design target. The Proposed SSPA manufacture techniques in this paper can be applied to the implementation of high power amplifiers for some radars and SCPC.

The discovery of light emission in nanostructured silicon has opened up new avenues of research in nano-silicon based devices. One such pathway is the application of silicon quantum dots in advanced photovoltaic and light emitting devices. Recently, there is increasing interest on the silicon quantum dots (c-Si QDs) films embedded in amorphous hydrogenated silicon-nitride dielectric matrix (a-SiNx: H), which are familiar as c-Si/a-SiNx:H QDs thin films. However, due to the limitation of the requirement of a very high deposition temperature along with post annealing and a low growth rate, extensive research are being undertaken to elevate these issues, for the point of view of applications, using plasma assisted deposition methods by using different plasma concepts. This work addresses about rapid growth and single step development of c-Si/a-SiNx:H QDs thin films deposited by RF (13.56 MHz) and ultra-high frequency (UHF ~ 320 MHz) low-pressure plasma processing of a mixture of silane (SiH4) and ammonia (NH3) gases diluted in hydrogen (H2) at a low growth temperature ($230^{\circ}C$). In the films the c-Si QDs of varying size, with an overall crystallinity of 60-80 %, are embedded in an a-SiNx: H matrix. The important result includes the formation of the tunable QD size of ~ 5-20 nm, having a thermodynamically favorable <220> crystallographic orientation, along with distinct signatures of the growth of ${\alpha}$-Si3N4 and ${\beta}$-Si3N4 components. Also, the roles of different plasma characteristics on the film properties are investigated using various plasma diagnostics and film analysis tools.

In this paper, we designed and fabricated WLAN / UWB communication antennas operating at 3.3 [GHz] and 5 [GHz] bands in order to effectively use the high-speed communication network system that improved antenna miniaturization, gain and radiation pattern. Microstrip patch antennas were chosen to improve the bandwidth. The slot width, length, and transmission line width were calculated using the theoretical formula for each step. Simulation results show that the return loss is -14.053 [dB] at 3.3 [GHz] and -13.118 [dB] at 5 [GHz]. The gain showed a value of 2.479 [dBi] at 3.3 [GHz] and a value of 3.317 [dBi] at 5 [GHz]. After optimizing it with the CST Microwave Studio 2014 program, which can be 3D-designed, Based on these results, we investigated the performance of antennas by measuring their characteristics. In recent years, WLAN, which is a variety of wireless technologies that are continuously developing, and UWB, which is a communication technology which is increasing in frequency band due to an increase in demand of the technology users, is used for a high speed wireless communication system. Communication seems to be possible.
