Development of technology in the $20^{th}$ century has made great contributions to women's lives. With the development of digital convergence, home network, and DMBs (Distance Method Bracings), the ubiquitous technology information era is expected to create a new progressive era for women. The purpose of this study is to investigate the lifestyle that Korean women would like to pursue, especially in regards to the sense of value within the personal and social life of each individual. As a method to suggest how the socio-cultural trends of women's lifestyle will change in the ubiquitous era, qualitative interviews have been conducted over 6 groups with 77 persons between the digital ages of 20s and 30s, living in Seoul. The majority had positive opinions regarding the economic, cultural, emotional, and physical prospects of the ubiquitous information environment. Results show high expectations evolved around freedom from household chores, the equality between the sexes (at home and in society), enhancing the working environment at home, an expansion of human relationships leading to creative knowledge, being able to maintain a single life without economic constraints, and the enjoyment that the internet provides. for suggestions to improve the quality of women's lifestyle through ubiquitous technology, issues such as individual based customization, time management, creating emotional hyperspaces, multi-media communication systems, and women as leaders were studied.

현재 기술 동향에 따라, 언제 어디서나 통신 및 컴퓨팅이 가능한 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 시스템(Ubiquitous Computing System)을 위해 사용자 및 주변 환경의 상황을 인식하는 기술(Context-Aware Computing System)이 필수적인 요소로 부각되고 있다. 하지만, Context-Aware Computing System을 구현하기 위해서 사용자 및 주변 환경으로부터 입력되는 불확실하거나 모호한 상황정보에 대한 표현과 추론에 대한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이를 해결하기 위해 Rule-based System을 기반으로 CRS와 DOS의 개념을 도입하여 상황인식 기술을 SoC로 구현할 수 있도록 새로운 Architecture를 제안한다. 마지막으로는 CRS와 DOS가 Network Topolgy에 적용된 RODMRP(Resilient Ontology-based Dynamic Multicast Routing Protocol)의 예를 통해 그 효용성을 입증하고, Ubiquitous Computing System에서 활용 가능한 방법 등을 제시한다.

유비쿼터스는 기존의 도큐멘테이션과 사이버공간 그리고 첨단 디지털 기술이 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅과 네트워크환경에서 무선 단말기와 결합한 형태를 말한다. 이러한 유비쿼터스 환경은 도서관과 박물관의 기능과 역할을 더욱 확장시켜, 정보의 생산과 정보제공방식에 상당한 변화를 가져올 것으로 예측된다. 이 연구는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅과 네트워크 기술을 활용하여 변화되는 도서관과 박물관의 현상을 다각토로 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하며, 특히 정보이용자에 대한 서비스 및 관리경영 측면에서 발생하는 변화를 예측하고자 하였다.

융합은 유비쿼터스 사회에서 새로운 가치창출의 원동력이 되는 핵심 메커니즘이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구에서는 유비쿼터스 도서관을 구현하고자 할 때 고려해야 할 개념 중 하나인 정보융합의 개념을 확인하고, 이를 바탕으로 유비쿼터스 도서관 환경에서의 정보융합 메커니즘을 두가지 관점, 즉 시스템-이용자간의 융합, 그리고 정보/지식간의 융합으로 나누어 살펴본 후, 도서관 환경에서 정보융합을 지원함으로써 얻을 수 있는 효과에 대해 분석하였다. 그리고 이러한 융합 메커니즘을 지원하는 기술로 이동성을 기반으로 시스템-이용자-정보간 쌍방향 커뮤니케이션을 가능하게 하는 기술인 모바일 웹 2.0을 제안하고, 유비쿼터스 도서관에서의 이용자 서비스를 위해 모바일 웹 2.0을 구성하는 세부기술의 응용 방안을 제시하였다.

유비쿼터스 시대를 앞당길 기술로는 USN, RFID, Homenetwork 등이 있다. 이와 같은 기술들은 상황인식 시스템을 구현하게 된다. 상황을 인식한다는 것은 사람, 사물, 환경이 실시간으로 정보를 유선 및 무선으로 제공할 수 있는 환경을 뜻한다. 따라서 개인정보, 정보 프라이버시, 광의의 프라이버시가 심각한 위협에 직면할 것이다. 본 연구는 USN 환경 하에서 상황 인식 시스템이 가지고 있는 개인정보의 위협을 분석하고 이를 보호할 수 있는 기술들을 제시하였다. 각 기술들은 보호의 영역들을 세분화 시킨 정보 프라이버시에 적용할 수 있는 기술들이다. 본 연구를 통하여 정보 프라이버시의 개념적 재해석과 기술적 제시를 통한 통찰력과 종합적 해결 방안을 기대해본다.

As information technology has been rapidly developed, it is expected that the needs of ubiquitous for information on construction, maintenance and operational processes in railway field will arise. U-Rail system, for which information ubiquitous in railway field, can be defined as the human centered future railway system that enables to perform real-time state indication and auto information generation and its transmission by interchanging information organically among railway suppliers, users, and operator. In this paper, we analyzed main components of U-Rail system and its service items from the view of information technology and communication network technology, with focusing on railway field.

유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크 기술은 새로운 컴퓨팅 패러다임인 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 핵심 분야로서, 무선 센서 네트워크를 이용한 상황정보 모니터링 시스템에 적합한 기술이다. 이 기술을 모니터링 시스템에 적용하면 열악한 환경에 간편하고 저렴한 비용으로 실시간으로 발생된 상황데이터를 수집 및 분석하여 즉각적인 상황대처와 사용자가 원하는 환경의 조건을 효율적으로 수행할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크 기반에서 무선 노드의 센싱 기술을 이용하여 상황 정보 모니터링 시스템을 구축한다. 제안된 시스템은 수집될 데이터의 양이 적고 지속적인 모니터링이 불필요하고 일정한 간격으로 특정 지역에서 발생되는 상황을 감지하는 작업에 기존 유선 통신을 이용한 상황감시보다는 효율적이다.

최근 정보기술의 발달로 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅과 이를 이용한 유비쿼터스 서비스가 개발 중이거나 서비스 중이다. 향후 많은 산업에서 유비쿼터스 서비스 활용이 증가할수록 서비스에 대한 평가가 필수적이라 하겠다. 본 연구에서는 유비쿼터스 서비스의 평가를 위한 구체적인 평가항목을 도출하고 이들 간의 중요도를 산출하는 프레임워크를 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 유비쿼터스 서비스의 평가와 관련된 문헌을 고찰하고 전문가의 의견을 수합하여 주요 평가항목의 결정과 계층적 분석과정 기법을 이용하여 항목간의 중요도를 산출하고자 하였다. 평가자 평가결과의 정확성을 보정하기 위해 퍼지(fuzzy) 개념을 활용하여 중요도를 계산하였으며 설문을 통하여 실제 특정 분야에서 유비쿼터스 서비스를 평가하기 위한 항목의 중요도를 도출하였다.

As the ubiquitous computing technology (uT) is prevailing, applying uT is more likely to transform the legacy way of doing business to a new way with the goals of ubiquitous computing: strategic use of information resources by using them everywhere, every time, with any devices for any services. These opportunities naturally require the provision to assess the degree of the transformation from the legacy IT-based e-business to the uT-based business. However, research about assessing the degree of u-transformation has been still very few. Moreover, even deciding what is ubiquitous or not is obscure. Hence, this paper aims to propose the methodology for assessing the degree of u-transformation oriented by the teleology of ubiquitous service, which intends to fully make use of uT in creating new business of next generation. Through the literature review, we developed the methodology to check whether the provided service is ubiquitous or not based on the capabilities that technologies have. and then, the methodology developed to assess the technical requirements that the uT should have when the transformation is considered through the focus group interview based on the literature review of the capability. A two-layered approach is introduced to assess not only the level of ubiquity but also the degree of u-transformation.

유비쿼터스 기술을 실생활에 활용하고자 하는 노력은 기업은 물론 중앙정부와 지자체를 중심으로 다양한 사업 형태로 추진되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 많은 사람들이 모이는 다중집합장소를 중심으로 유비쿼터스 기술을 이용하여 시민서비스를 고도화하기 위한 전략적 추진방안을 제시하였다. 유무선 통신망을 통해 네트워크 접속이 가능해 지면서, 유비쿼터스 서비스 모델은 보편적 지도위에 참여와 협업을 전제로 하는 모델이 구상되어야 할 것으로 보인다. 이를 구현하기 위해 본 연구에서는 보편적으로 이용 가능한 디지털 지도의 구축, 디지털 지도기반의 컨텐츠 제작, 이와 관련된 유비쿼터스 시설 설치, 그리고 컨텐츠 확보를 위한 기존 홈페이지의 웹 표준화 및 자료정비, 기존자료를 인터넷지도와 연계하여 지리정보 및 속성정보 표출할 수 있도록 하는 등의 인터넷고도화 사업을 제안하였다. 향후의 유비쿼터스 서비스는 기술적 관점 뿐 아니라 그 장소를 활용하는 시민, 기업, 공공부분의 특성과 이들이 요구하는 수요에 기반 하는 서비스 모델이 개발되어야 할 것이며, 이 기반에는 지리공간 웹이 핵심이 될 것으로 판단된다.
