사진식각법을 이용한 FET형 용존 $CO_{2}$ 센서의 수화젤막 및 가스 투과막 제작 (Fabrication of Hydrogel and Gas Permeable Membranes for FET Type Dissolved $CO_{2}$ Sensor by Photolithographic Method)

  • $H^{+}$ 이온에 선택적으로 감응하는 field effect transistor(pH-ISFET)를 바탕소자로 하고, 그 gate 주위에 Ag/AgCl 기준전극을 형성한 다음, 이를 둘러싼 수화젤(hydrogel)막 및 기체투과막의 이중막 구조를 가진 용존이산화탄소($CO_{2(aq)}$) 센서소자를 사진식각(photolithography)법으로 제작하였다. PVA-SbQ 혹은 PVP-PVAc/감광제 형의 광가교형 감광액은 수화젤막 형성에 적합하지 않았으나, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA) 및 acrylamide를 포함하는 광중합형 감광액을 사용할 경우에는 사진식각법에 의한 수화젤막이 좋은 해상도로 얻어졌다. 기체투과막은 urethane acrylate계 UV-oligomer를 주성분으로 한 감광액을 써서 사진식각법으로 수화젤막위에 형성할 수 있었다. 또한 수화젤막 및 기체투과막을 사진식각법으로 형성할 때 N,N,N',N'-tetramethyl ethplenediamine(TED) 을 $O_{2}$ quencher로서 감광액 중에 도입함으로써 UV 노광시에 polyester film을 부착하는 번거로운 공정을 생략할 수 있음을 알았다. 이렇게 제조된 $pCO_{2}$ 센서는 수용액 중에서 $10^{-3}{\sim}10^{0}\;mol/{\ell}$$CO_{2}$ 농도변화에 대하여 직선적인 검정곡선(calibration curve)을 얻을 수 있었다.

Rhodamine Based Fluorescent Chemosensors for Hg2+ and its Biological Application

  • Two new chemosensors, rhodamine 6G derivative bearing hydroxyethyl group (1) and rhodamine base derivative bearing 15-crown-5 group (2) were synthesized and their sensing behaviors toward various metal ions were investigated by UV/Vis and fluorescence spectroscopies. Addition of $Hg^{2+}$ ion to a $CH_3CN$ solution of 1 and 2 gave visual color changes as well as fluorescent OFF-ON observations. Selectivity and sensitivity of 1 towards $Hg^{2+}$ are excellent enough to detect micromolar level of $Hg^{2+}$ ion, even in equeous media and biological sample (HeLa cell).

  • Recently, there has been considerable interest in the development of fiber-optic sensors based on fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs), which can be made into Ge-doped fiber's core by UV phase mask or holographic methods. A good sensitivity and small size of this sensor make it an ideal candidate for distributed sensing in smart structures or other structural monitoring applications. In this study, fiber optic Bragg grating sensor, which could be applied to measure the absolute strains, was constructed and the strain sensitivity of this sensor was investigated in order to apply to the structural health monitoring. Fiber Fabry-Perot (FFP) filter has been used to detect the optical signals instead of optical spectrum analyzer. It has been convenient to determine the structural strains from the output signal of FBGs. The fiber optic Bragg grating sensor was attached on the aluminum beam near the electrical strain gage to measure the same strain. The relationship between strain and fiber signal was linearly fitted. The strain sensitivity of the fiber optic Bragg grating sensor was determined as $l.57{\mu}{\varepsilon}/{\mu}sec$ from the aluminum beam test.

  • 라즈베리파이는 복수개의 입출력 주변 장치를 지원할 수 있는 신용카드 크기 정도의 단일보드 컴퓨터로 이기종간 상호연동을 위한 완전한 플랫폼으로 사용할 수 있으므로 다양한 응용에 적용될 수 있다. 라즈베리파이에 와이파이 기능을 결합하면 원격통신이 가능하여 무선센서 노드를 구성하는데도 매우 적합하다. 또한 데이터처리와 의사결정을 인공지능에 기반을 둘 수 있으므로 화재 감시나 화재발생 신뢰도 판단 등과 같은 예제를 이미 개발된 테스트베드에서 수행해 볼 수 있다. 본 논문은 건물 내의 능동적 화재안전감시를 위한 센서 웹노드로서 라즈베리파이 이용에 대한 연구 결과이다. UV 불꽃감지센서가 촛불 크기 정도의 불꽃을 감지하면 라즈베리파이는 GCM 서버를 통해 지정된 스마트폰으로 현장상황을 알리는 푸쉬 메시지를 보낸다. 모바일 앱은 오작동 알람 여부를 판별하기 위한 실시간 비디오 영상을 제공할 수 있도록 개발되었다. 만약 긴급 상황이라면 긴급통화로 즉시 도움을 요청할 수 있도록 구현하였다.

감광성 수용성 고분자를 이용한 Lipid 센서의 제조 (Fabrication of Lipid Sensor Utilizing Photosensitive Water Soluble Polymer)

  • $Si_{3}N_{4}$ 박막의 코팅된 pH-ISFET의 게이트 부위 위에 lipase 효소를 고정화하여 FET(field effect transistor) 형지질(lipid) 센서를 제조하였다. 효소 고정화막 형성 물질로는 수용성 고분자인 polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)에 감광성기인 1-methyl-4-(formylstyryl) pyridinium methosulfate(SbQ)를 결합시킨 PVA-SbQ를 사용하였다. PVA-SbQ 수용액 (SbQ 1mole %, 10 wt%) $200{\mu}L$, bovine serum albumin (BSA) 7.5 mg, lipase 10 mg으로 구성 된 현탁액을 사용한 사진식각(photolithographic) 공정의 최적 조건은 피막의 상온 진공 건조 시간 45분, spin coater의 회전수 $5,000{\sim}6,000$ rpm, UV 노광시간 $20{\sim}30$초, 증류수 현상 시간 $30{\sim}40$초로 나타났다. 이렇게 구성된 지질 센서는 triacetin을 지질 시료로 하였을 때 $10{\sim}100$ mM의 농도 범위에서 직선성의 검정선을 나타내었다.

Enhancement of Photoluminescence by Ag Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance for Ultraviolet Detection

  • For higher sensitivity in ultraviolet (UV) and even vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) detection of silicon-based sensors, a sandwich-structured film sensor based on Ag Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR) was designed and fabricated. This film sensor was composed of a Ag nanoparticles (NPs) layer, SiO2 buffer and fluorescence layer by physical vapour deposition and thermal annealing. By tuning the annealing temperature and adding the SiO2 layer, the resonance absorption wavelength of Ag NPs matched with the emission wavelength of the fluorescence layer. Due to the strong plasmon resonance coupling and electromagnetic field formed on the surface of Ag NPs, the radiative recombination rate of the luminescent materials and the number of fluorescent molecules in the excited state increased. Therefore, the fluorescent emission intensity of the sandwich-structured film sensor was 1.10-1.58 times at 120-200 nm and 2.17-2.93 times at 240-360 nm that of the single-layer film sensor. A feasible method is provided for improving the detection performance of UV and VUV detectors.

Sensitivity Analysis by Using Global Imager for Retrieval of Biomass Burning Aerosols

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the strength of the near-UV wavelength of 380 nm relative to visible and near-IR bands, and to find the suitable wavelength for detecting aerosols by using the Global Imager (GLI) sensor aboard the Advanced Earth Observing Satellite-II (ADEOS-II). Sensitivity analysis is performed for the retrieval of biomass burning aerosols by employing the radiative transfer model Rstar5b. It is determined that background surface reflectance in the blue band is similar to that in the near-UV band, and that wavelengths in the blue bands are more sensitive to the Aerosol Optical Thickness (AOT) than wavelengths in the near-UV band. The Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS) Aerosol Index (AI) is used in the indirect method used for aerosol retrieval, and the wavelength pair 380 nm and 460 nm is determined to be the most sensitive to the AOT. The results of this study suggest that wavelengths in the blue bands are suitable for detecting biomass burning aerosols over the Korean peninsula.

곡면 유리 표면 위에서 박막 측온저항체 온도센서 어레이 제작 및 성능 평가 (Fabrication and Performance Evaluation of Thin Film RTD Temperature Sensor Array on a Curved Glass Surface)

  • This paper presents a novel direct fabrication method of the thin metal film RTD temperature sensor array on an arbitrary curved surface by using MEMS technology to measure a distributed temperature field up to $300^{\circ}C$ without disturbing a fluid flow. In order to overcome the difficulty in the three dimensional photography of sensor patterning, the UV pre-irradiated photosensitive dry film resist technology has been developed newly. This method was applied to the fabrication of the temperature sensor array on a glass tube, which is arranged parallel and transverse to a main flow. Gold was used as a temperature sensing material. The resistance change was measured in a thermally controlled oven by increasing the environmental temperature. The linear increase in resistance change and a constant slope were obtained. Also, the sensitivity of each RTD temperature sensor was evaluated.

더블 빔 구조, 다파장 분석을 적용한 연속식 실시간 COD 측정 센서 개발 (Development of Continuous Real-time COD Measurement Sensor with Double Beam and Multiple Wavelength Analysis)

  • At present, the index of chemical oxygen demand (COD) is widely used as an indicator of organic water pollution with biochemical oxygen demand (BOD). But, traditional COD measurement method are not only with various chemical reagents exhausted, but also long time consumed, the operation procedure and the modification are much professional. This paper reported a novel COD measurement system using double-beam and multiple wavelength analysis UV-VIS spectrometries. It consists of pulsed xenon lamp, two-way optical fiber, optical switch, spectrometer and main processor. Proposed COD measurement system obtains any spectral information of water sample (KHP standard sample and two river water and wastewater) and reference sample (distilled water) in the range of 200~520 nm, corresponding to the COD concentration from 0 to 300 mg/L through calculating the UV absorbance. The system show improved precision and can work continuously fast at time interval about 25 seconds.

초음파 분사 열분해 장치에서 제조된 $TiO_2/SiO_2$ 복합 분체의 UV 차단 효과 (UV Blocking Effect of $TiO_2/SiO_2$ Composite Powders Prepared by Ultrasonic Spray Pyrolysis)

  • The silica nanoparticles were used as support of catalyst, filling material, electronic assembler, thin film material, and sensor material. And, the titania nanoparticles were used as pigment, dielectric substance, sensor and photocatalyst. In this paper, the spherical composite particles of $TiO_2/SiO_2$with narrow size distribution and phase pure were synthesized by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis method from $TiOSO_4$ and colloidal silica solution. Using ultrasonic apparatus, this starting solution was vaporized to droplets, and these droplets were induced into tube furnace by carrier gas. The resulting composite powder was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, TG-DTA, in vitro sun protection factor(SPF) and BET surface area analysis.
