In this paper an experimental was done to design combustion chambers which is required radiation strength of high temperature generator of absorption rigerator. Partiqularly, in combustion chamber radiative mediums were set and basic experiments were done according to its size by radiation strength and effects of heat transfer promotion. The results are as follows : 1) When radiative mediums were set in small combustion furnace burning nonframely radiative heat transfer was effected. 2) In case that area ratio($A/A_o$) of radiative medium is 0.82 or over, temperature fluctuation effects of furnace inside were not nearly. 3) In experimental boundary heat transfer effects were 1.8 times by setting up radiative medium. Specially, $q/{\Delta}T$ values of furnace inside were uniformed nearly by setting up radiative mediums.

This paper is a proposal of Sentinel Asia for Environment (SAFE). The essential to this project is to help environmental agencies in Asia to set up an environmental monitoring system with satellite observation data. It is focused on an environmental issues originated from anthropogenic events detected as land cover and land use change in Asians' daily human life including; agriculture, global warming gas, urban environment and forest resources. It is leaded by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) along with University of Tokyo and Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand under the umbrella of Sentinel Asia which is dedicated to disaster monitoring issues. It is expected to initiate a information outgoing through WWW for Asian countries to set up their national land information system focusing on environmental changes.

This Paper provides perceptual metrics for video quality based on properties of human visual system, and audio quality based on human audition. All metrics work without reference signals, allowing non-intrusive, in-service measurements. A simple and easy-to-learn user interface displays the metrics and saves them in popular file formats like CSV. In this paper, proposed method was able to various and corrective measurement for the multimedia service video quality. As that it was able to application to set up service guide line and the methode of measurement and system for the set up standardization of the high quality video service.

The paper presents an experimental set-up for osmotic membrane distillation, which can be operated continuously for several weeks. NaCl solutions were used as an osmotic solution. The influence of osmotic solution concentration on the obtained permeate flux is presented. The experimental set-up was equipped with a system for the regeneration of dilute brine. The regeneration was carried out using a method of natural evaporation to the air surrounding the installation. The evaporation area was created by the Białecki rings, assembled in the form of tower. The obtained evaporation rate was sufficient to maintain a constant NaCl concentration (over 300 g/L), for air with the relative humidity in the range of 30-80%. Accurel PP S6/2 hydrophobic polypropylene membranes were used in the study. The membranes exhibited 100% rejection for 600 h of the process duration.

Downcoiler is one of the major facilities in hot strip mill operation. The key to good coiling is having good equipment, modem control systems, excellent maintenance and an understanding of coiling process. Therefore, this study aims to develop a program that is useful for calculating machine design parameters and simulating coiling process. In this study, the pinching and coiling mechanism of the downcoiler was thoroughly studied and some of operational factors and their effects on the coiling process were investigated. The software was developed to estimate engineering parameters for coiler component design and to determine optimal setting values for successful coiling operation. In order to check the accuracy and usefulness of the developed software, the simulation of the downcoiler in $\#2$ Hot Strip Mill in Pohang Works was performed. The simulation results suggested that the set-up value for unit tension could be lowered. Test coiling operation by using the lowered set-up value for unit tension resulted in much more successful coiling in the aspect of strip quality and power consumption.

This paper presents a hierarchical real-time operation control and monitoring scheme of the FMS/CIM center which has been implemented at the Automation and Systems Research Institute of Seoul National University. The hierarchical structure of the whole scheme consists of three lavers. The upper layer is in charge of on-line scheduling, computer network control, shop-floor monitoring and command generation for AGV dispatching, machining, assembly, inspection, set-up, etc. The middle layer has six modules, which are installed in the FMS host computer with the upper layer and run on the multi-tasking basis. Each module is connected to one of six cell controllers distributed in the FMS model plant and transfers operation command down to each cell controller through the Ethernet/TCP-IP local area network. The lower layer is comprised of six cell control software modules for machining cell, assembly cell, inspection cell, set-up stations. AS/RS and AGV. Each cell controller reports the status of the manufacturing facilites to the middle layer as well as ecxecuting the appropriate sequence control of the manufacturing processes.

This study explores the development processes of organic farmers' groups that have tried to manage farming activities at the regional level. They formed the groups from different reasons and situation each other. The motives to set up the groups differ between them. Some set up for the local farmers movement, others aim to get more income from the group activities. Whatever the motives, they all have been succeeded in the agricultural sector. Many new-born farmer's groups in organic farming sector tend to be regarded them as the models for success. Therefore, it is important to clarify how they have overcome difficult situation that may differ from group to group. This study tries to find and compare the four organic farmers groups with the factors of the historical processes for establishment, the process of business development, and the development of networks.

A fundamental study was conducted to obtain the basic data involved in nondestructive quality evaluation of the fruit and vegetables. An experimental equipment for ultrasonic propagation characteristics of the fruit and vegetables such as radish , carrot , potato, and apple was set up and also power spectrum analysis system of an ultrasonic wave through the fruit and vegetables was set up. The velocity and attenuation of ultrasonic wave through the tissue specimens from the fruit and vegetables were measured and analyzed. The elastic modulus and density by the mechanical method currently used were compared with those using by ultrasonic method. The ultrasonic tranit time was almost linearly increased with the length of the specimens and attenuation of ultrasonic was mainly affected by the internal flbrous structure of the products. The regression equation was derived from the highly correlated experimental variables.

This paper studied on the performance variation depending on using period of ionization smoke detector. In korea, there were a lot of loss of lives and property because of fire. In many cases, an alarm equipment didn't operate though it was set up, so it causes the failure of early evacuation and fire suppression. Accordingly, an experiment on the change of ionization smoke detector in capacity performed with ionization smoke detector which is set up with fire objects.

Advertising is persuasion activity, carrying concept to the aimed target through non-personal media. This study concerns on the very concept. Its meaning, their relations and strategic ' position in advertising. This study tried to clarify concept of concepts used as various meanings and set up making-concept method. Accordingly, this study begins with surveys of product concept, advertising concept and creative concept. And then tried to clarify their relations and strategic position in advertising, On the ground of the above achievements, this study set up the effective making-concept rules through TV commercials case study.
