3-D 칩생성과정의 역학적 해석 모델링 (Mechanistic Analysis Modeling for the 3-D Chip Formation Process)

  • Once the chip has developed a mixed mode of side-curl and up-curl, it would generally curl to strike the tool flank. The development of the bending stresses and sheat in the chip would ultimately lead to chip failure. This paper approach this problem from a mechanics-based approach, by treating the chip as a 3-D elastic curved beam, and applying appropriate constraints and forces. The expressions for bending, shear and direct stresses are developed through an energy-based criterion. The location of the maximum stresses is also identified and explained for simulated test conditions.

Shot peening 가공에 의한 노치재의 응력분포와 피로강도의 개선 (The Stress Distribution and Improvement of fatigue Strength for Notched Materials by Shot Peening)

  • Second step shot peening was applied on both smooth specimen and U-notch specimen in order to investigate the stress distribution and the improvement in fatigue strength. Various experiments and measurements such as rotary bending fatigue test and the measurement of compressive residual stress were performed. The results showed that the fatigue strength of second step shot peened specimens increased by 34 percent compared to that of unpeened ones. Compressive residual stress also considerably increased, which resulted in the increase of fatigue strength. finite element analysis showed that shot peening is effective in decreasing the bending stress by external force. The effectiveness of shot peening in reducing the compressive residual stress was anticipated by the superposition of the concentrated stress and the compressive residual stress.

인장철근배근량에 따른 U-플랜지 트러스 복합보의 휨 내력에 관한 실험연구 (Experimental Study on the Flexural Capacity of the U-Flanged Truss Hybrid Beam According to Reinforcement Amounts)

  • For the practical application of U-flanged Truss Hybrid beams, the flexural capacity of hybrid beams with end reinforcement details using vertical steel plates was verified. The bending test of U-flanged Truss Hybrid beams was performed using the same top chord under the compressive force, but with the thickness of the bottom plate and the amount of tensile reinforcement. The initial stiffness and maximum load of the specimen with tensile reinforcement have a higher value than that of the specimen without tension reinforcement, but the more tensile reinforcement, the greater the load decrease after the maximum load. In the case of the specimen with tensile reinforcement, because the test result value is 76% to 88% when compared with the flexural strength according to Korea Design Code, the safety of the U-flanged Truss Hybrid beam with the same details of the specimens can't ensure. Therefore, the development of new details is required to ensure that the bottom steel plate and the tensile reinforcement can undergo sufficient tensile deformation.

단차가 있는 철근콘크리트 슬래브의 구조성능 평가 실험 및 상세 제안 (Experimental Studies and Detailing Suggestion for Reinforced Concrete Slabs with Steps)

  • 이 실험적 연구는 콘크리트 단차슬래브의 성능을 평가하고 단차가 없는 평슬래브와 동등한 휨강도를 발현할 수 있는 보강상세를 제안하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이 연구에서는 단순지간 4점 재하 실험을 통하여 다양한 보강상세를 가진 12개 실험체의 성능을 서로 비교하였다. 추가보강근이 없는 단차슬래브는 휨강도, 강성, 처짐, 균열 등에서 평슬래브와 비교하여 매우 낮은 성능을 가졌으며, 특히 단차 내에서 균열이 빠르게 진전되어 조기에 힌지현상이 발생하였다. 반면 역U형철근, U형철근, 역L형철근, L형철근 등의 추가 보강상세를 가지는 단차슬래브는 평슬래브와 동등한 휨강도를 발현하였다. 역U형철근과 U형철근은 단차의 사인장 균열을 제어하는데 효과적이었고, 역L형철근과 L형철근은 일관적으로 단차 밖 평슬래브로 슬래브 주근의 휨항복을 유도하는 것으로 나타났다.

U리브 현장용접이음부 응력거동에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Stress Behavior on Field Welded Joints of U-rib in Steel Bridge)

  • 본 연구에서는 강교량의 강상판에서 많이 사용되는 U리브 현장이음부에 대해 시공오차로 인한 단차의 영향을 조사하기 위해 실물 대모형에 대해 응력해석을 실시하였다. 또한 실물대모형 시험체를 제작하여 3점 휨 피로실험을 실시하였으며, 주사형전자현미경(SEM) 및 비치마크를 이용하여 피로균열 발생점 및 피로균열전파방향을 조사하였다. 실물대모형 모델에 대한 응력해석 결과, U리브의 하면 우각부에 응력이 크게 나타났으며, 단차가 커질수록 응력이 현저히 증가하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 실물대모형 시험체에 대한 정하중 및 피로실험에서도 U리브 하면의 우각부에 응력이 크게 나타났으며, 단차가 크면 피로수명은 단축되고 단차가 적으면 피로수명은 길어졌다. 또한 파단면 조사결과, 피로균열은 모재측 루트부에서 발생하여 용접비드 표면측으로 전파되었다.

U자형 구조의 피로특성에 대한 잔류응력의 영향 평가 (Evaluation of Residual Stress Effect about Fatigue Characteristic of U-shaped Structure)

  • Mechanical structures with power sources experience repeated force produced by motors. In result, the life of the pipes reduces and ultimately, the pipes collapse. Such pipes are formed into several shapes and particularly, the U-shape pipe is damaged frequently. In most cases, the U-shape pipe is made with a straight pipe by complicated bending work. During this work process, plastic deformation of the pipe produces residual stress in the pipe. This residual stress significantly affects the fracture behavior of the pipe and induces the change of the stress ratio (min. stress/Max. stress = R). For this reason, residual stress has to be evaluated. In this paper, the residual stress of a U-shaped pipe was evaluated by FEM analysis. In addition, fatigue tests of the U-shaped pipe were performed by using a uniaxial fatigue testing machine. The results of the fatigue test were modified with the results of FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis for residual stress. The modified fatigue test results of the U-shaped pipe were compared with those of a straight pipe.

박판재의 스프링백 해석(II)-해석모델의 실험적 검증 (Analysis of Springback of Sheet Metal(II): Experimental Validation of Analytical Model)

  • As the springback of sheet metal during unloading nay cause deviation from a desired shape, accurate prediction of springback is essential for the design of sheet stamping operations. On the removal of the applied load the specimen loses its elastic strain by contracting around the contour of the block, the radius $\rho$ can be determined by the residual differential strain. Therefore in this study the springback estimated by the residual differential strain is experimentally validated through the comparison with those obtained by U-bending test. The springback characteristics of two analytical models are also estimated at various processing conditions such as thickness, curvature of radius and drawing strain. The model based on residual differential strain has an applied transition strain where the springback undergoes a dramatic decrease. Both models show that springback decreases with increased strip thickness and with decreased radius of curvature. For no applied tension, the model based on residual differential strain predicts more springback as compared to the moment based model.

라만 분광법을 이용한 잔류응력 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Residual Stress Measurement Using Raman Spectroscopy)

  • A straight pipe is used after complicated bending work in a mechanical system. In this work process, the plastic deformation of the pipe produces residual stress in the pipe. This residual stress significantly affects the behavior of pipe fracture. For this reason, residual stress must be evaluated. Measuring the residual stress of a U-shaped pipe is difficult with existing destructive and nondestructive measurement methods. In this paper, the residual stress of a U-shaped aluminum pipe (99.7% pure aluminum) was evaluated from the Raman shift by Raman spectroscopy and FEM(Finite Element Method, FEM) analysis. The results of the stiffness test by FEM analysis are compared with those by experiments. The analyzed results of the Raman spectra showed a similar tendency with the results of the FEM analysis with respect to the residual stress distributions in U-shaped pipes. Also, the results of the bending tests showed resemblance to each other.

고압배관용 탄소강의 인장시 음향방출 특성 (AE Characteristic under Tensile of Carbon Steel for High-Pressure Pipe)

  • 에너지 관련 플랜트에 사용되는 배관은 플랜트의 성능이나 안전성유지에 있어서 중요한 설비의 일부이다. 본 연구에서는 고압탄소강 배관의 변형 및 파괴에 대한 음향방출 기초 자료를 얻기 위하여 압력용기용 배관재를 기계가공하여 인장시험편을 만든 후, 인장시험을 실시하여 항복, 소성변형 및 파괴에 이르기까지의 음향방출 신호를 분석하였다. 탄성영역, 최대인장강도 이전의 소성영역 및 최대인장강도 이후의 소성영역에서 검출된 음향방출의 시간-주파수 분석 결과는 탄성영역에서 항복영역까지는 비교적 낮은 저주파수 대역(250${\~}$350kHz)이 나타났으며, 소성영역에서는 저주파수뿐만 아니라 고주파수 대역(500kHz)도 나타났다. 인장시험 후, 이러한 각 영역의 구별이 가능하였던 원인은 항복영역에서의 전위의 이동, 집적에 따른 신호와 최대인장강도 이전의 소성영역에서의 전위들이 개재물이나 결정입계를 통과했을 때 나타나는 신호, 최대인장강도 이후에는 미소공동의 발생, 성장 및 합체에 의하여 나타나는 신호로 분류가 가능하였기 때문인 것으로 판단된다.
