재생 과정이 니켈-티타늄 호선의 물리적 성질과 표면 거칠기에 미치는 영향 (Effects of recycling on the mechanical properties and the surface topography of Nickel-Titanium alloy wires)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 재생된 니켈-티타늄 호전의 인장물성, 표면거칠기와 마찰력의 변화를 조사하여, 임상적으로 니켈티타늄 호선을 재생하여 사용하는 것이 타당한지를 알아보는 것이다. 수종의 니켈-티타늄 호선과 스테인레스 스틸호선을 처리전(T0: 대조군)과 인공타액에 4주간 처리한 군(T1), 그리고 인공타액 처리후 가압증기 멸균소독한 군(T2)으로 구분하여 인장실험과 주사전자현미경, 3D profilogram을 통한 표면거칠기의 변화와 마찰계수의 변화를 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 인장실험을 하여 최대인장강도, 연신율, 탄성계수를 관찰한 결과 모든 니켈-티타늄 호선에서 재생과정 후에 대조군과 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다(p<0.05). 단 스테인레스 스틸 호선은 재생과정 후에 최대인장강도, 연신율, 탄성계수에서 통계적으로 유의한 변화를 보였다(p<0.05). 2. 주사전자현미경을 통한 관찰에서 재생후에 Sentalloy를 제외한 호선에서 표면의 점부식(pitting)과 압흔(indentation)이 증가하였다. 3. 3D profilogram을 사용하여 관찰한 표면거칠기(Ra와 Rq)의 변화를 살펴보면, 재생과정 후에 Sentalloy를 제외한 NiTi, Optimalloy, 스테인레스 스틸 호선에서 통계적으로 유의하게 표면거칠기가 증가하였다(p<0.05). 4. 재생과정 후에 시행한 마찰력 실험에서는 최대운동마찰계수가 Sentalloy를 제외한 NiTi, Optimalloy, 스테인레스 스틸호선에서 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.05). NiTi, Optimalloy의 표면거칠기와 마찰계수의 변화는 임상적으로 영향을 미칠 정도는 아니며, 결과적으로 니켈-티타늄 호선을 재생하면, 인장실험시의 물성과 표면거칠기, 마찰계수의 변화가 임상적으로 문제가 없을 것으로 생각된다.

교정용 선재의 TORQUE 효과에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON THE TORQUE EFFECT OF ORTHODONTIC WIRES)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the torque effect of othodontic wires. Ten types of orthodontic wires (five types of materials, two types of cross-sectional dimensions) were selected. Each group of ire type was constituted with five specimens. These specimens were tested on the universal testing machine(Instron) with specially-designed jig. The torque-twist curve of each wire was obtained and the results were analyzed statistically. The results were as follows. 1. 0.017'$\times$ 0.025' wire showed more torque effect than 0.016'$\times$ 0.022' wire at the same twist. 2.Torque effect was the greatest in stainless steel and the least in Nitinol. 3.The maximum amount of torque was the greatest in heat-treated Blue Elgiloy and the least in Nitinol.

  • 본 논문에서는 비닐 캡타이어 전선(600 V, VCTFK, $2C{\times}1.25mm^2$)을 모델로 하여 과전류 시 전류크기 및 이격 거리에 따른 전선 상호간의 힘을 유한요소법(FEM)을 통하여 계산하며, 또한 직접 제작한 대전류 공급 장치(형명: EHT_EFAD, Korea 사용하여 과전류시 전류크기와 공급시간에 따른 전선 상호간의 최대 이격거리에 대하여 실험함으로써 과전류로 인한 전기화재 감식 시 기초 자료로 활용하고자 한다.

Fabrication and Test of Multiple HTS Wire with Transposition for HTS Power Transformer

  • According to the recent design of an HTS (High Temperature Superconducting) power transformer whose capacity is hundreds MVA, the rated current values of the low voltage side are generally over thousands amps. Considering the performance of the recent HTS wires, it is inevitable to use several HTS wires in parallel for large rated current. Lots of stacked HTS wires were fabricated and tested so far, and the results have showed that we have to transpose each wire in order to reduce the AC losses as well as to increase the current capacity. But many development programs about HTS transformers reveal that the transposition of the several wires during the winding process is quite difficult not only in case of the layer windings but also in case of the pancake type ones. So, we need transposed multiple HTS wire which we can handle like single wire or cable for the HTS windings of large capacity power transformer. We fabricated several kinds of samples of multiple HTS wire with transposition to apply it to the HTS windings of power transformer. The electrical characteristics such as critical currents or AC losses are analyzed by experiments in case by case. Finally we present the best design of a multiple HTS wire for power transformer.

  • This paper describes a human finger model driven by shape memory alloy(SMA) wires. The finger model has three joints that are similar to human finger. Each joint is actuated with two wires in the antagonistic manner and six wires are used to actuate three finger joint. In order to obtain the desirable finger motion, the diameters of the SMA wires are designed with different diameters by considering the required actuating force and response time. The rotary sensors are used to measure the angle positions of the joints and PWM control using PID algorithm is used to achieve desired angle positions of the finger joints. After estimating the control performance of each finger joint for the desired angle position, the antagonistic motion control of the finger model is experimentally evaluated.

구부림 피로에 의한 연선의 반단선 특성 해석 (Analysis on the Characteristics of the Stranded Wire Disconnected by Bending Stress)

  • In this paper, we analyzed on the characteristics of the stranded wire disconnected by bending stress. The stranded wire that used in the experiment are PVC insulated flexible cords(VCTFK) of $0.75mm^2,\;1.25mm^2,\;and\;2.0mm^2$. They are used to connect the load in low voltage. The stranded wires disconnected by bending stress were magnified with optical microscope. Using X-ray, the disconnected wire were photographed. we compared mechanical characteristics of the stranded wire between disconnected tendency and allowable current. On the mechanical strength of vinyl captyre ellipse type cords under bending stress, $1.25mm^2$ VCTFK was the strongest of them. When it was bended $826.3{\pm}7\;times$, it appeared the disconnected tendency that element wires of $1.25mm^2$ VCTFK are more about 1.67 times than element wires of $0.75mm^2$ VCTFK. In mechanical strength, $1.25mm^2$ VCTFK is higher about 1.7 times than $0.75mm^2$ VCTFK. Therefore, we found out that mechanical strength will be higher, if element wire is a lot. In comparison with bending stress, $1.25mm^2$ VCTFK is the strongest among samples, and then it is the most useful in wires of movable type.

인공타액하에서 교정선과 Bracket간의 마찰력에 대한 연구 (FRICTIONAL FORCES BETWEEN ORTHODONTIC WIRE AND BRACKET UNDER ARTIFICIAL SALIVA)

  • It has been suggested that the frictional force between bracket and arch wire may impede the tooth movement. The present study was aimed to compare and analyze the effect of wire size, type of ligation, and duration of ligation on the magnitude of frictional force between cobalt chromium wire and stainless steel bracket under the artificial saliva. The results were as follows: 1. Type of ligation and size of wire were the main influencing factor on the level of friction. 2. Stainless steel ligature generated higher frictional forces than elastomeric module. 3. The rectangular wire consistently exhibited more frictional force values than round wires, while there was no significant difference between frictional forces of round wires. 4. In elastic ligature, frictional force decreased with time. 5. Artificial saliva had no significant influence on the frictional force between cobalt chromium wire and bracket.

도시가로경관요소가 시각적 선호에 미치는 복합적 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Complex Effects of Streetscape Components on Visual Preference)

  • In this study the relative effects among trees, cars, wires and building facades on visual preference are measured with the photo-montage scenes, which were synthesized by computer graphic programs. In addition to these experiments, the interaction of each elements of streetscapes have been investigated. The results of this study can be summarized as follows ; (1) It was found that trees had a remarkable positive effect on preference for streetscapes, wires had a moderate negative effect, cars had a trivial effect and the effects of building facades were medium. (2) It was investigated that the building of residential type was most preferred among commercial, residential, and office building types. The next preferred building facade was the commercial type. (3) The interaction of each element of streetscapes also have effects on preference. Especially, it was found that the combined effects of building-wire and building-cars were more notable than other combined effects of two elements.

  • It is important to determine of tower type whether suspension or tension tower in overhead transmission lines. When we select to tower type, we have need to check of swing angle for suspension string sets. And jumper wire of T/L in the strong wind area have to analysis of swing angle in order to clearance or length of tower arms. This paper is summarized the methods to calculate of swing angle for suspension string sets and jumper wires, and is calculated the swing angle. The calculated result have proposed to improved design specifications of overhead transmission line.

틈새 장벽을 이용한 효과적인 오존 발생 (Effective Ozone Generation Utilizing a Slit Barrier)

  • In this paper a new wire-wire discharge system with a slit dielectric harrier has been proposed, and, its corona discharge and ozone generation characteristics have been investigated experimentally. When the slit mica barrier is installed between corona wires, instead of the grounded plate electrode, a significant increase in the generation of ozone, about 2.2 times higher than that of the conventional ones without the slit harrier, could be obtained. Photographs show that this type of discharge system with a slit barrier was found to produce a corona discharge twice, once from the upper and bottom corona wires, and. again from both sides of surfaces and slits of the slit barrier. As a result, the proposed discharge system has the potential to increase significantly ozone production and it may be useful as an effective means for removing pollutant gases.
