건축물의 구조유형을 고려한 해체공사 제도 개선 방안 필요성 - 해체공사의 허가 및 신고를 기준으로 - (Necessity of Improvements on Code of Practice at the Demolition Work considering Building Structure Type : Based on Demolition work of Permission and Registration)

  • 해체공사의 수요증가와 사고 위험성을 고려하여 정부는 20년 건축물관리법을 시행해 해체공사의 안전관리를 개선하고자 하였다. 그러나 건축물관리법 제 30조 건축물의 해체 허가에 따른 기준은 일률적이기 때문에 규모에 따른 허가대상 건축물의 구분은 불합리할 수 있다. 또한, 해체공사는 건축물의 구조 유형에 따라 공사 난이도 및 발생 재해의 형태가 달라질 수 있기 때문에 본 연구는 건축물관리법상 신고대상에 속하는 조적조 등의 소규모 건축물의 구조 유형을 고려한 해체공사 안전관리 개선 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구의 순서는 (I) 건축물관리법 기준; (II) 건축물의 구조 유형에 따른 해체공사 분석; (III) 해체공사 허가대상 세분화 순으로 진행되었다. 연구 결과 건축물관리법상 허가대상은 과거 해체공사 실적의 10% 정도, 조적조는 2.43%에 불과하였다. 허가대상 기준을 세분화한 결과 조적조의 경우 연면적 100㎡이하일 때 허가 및 신고대상의 수가 유사해짐을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 이해관계자는 1) 해외와 같이 규모에 관계없이 특수구조 건축물에 강화된 안전관리 기준을 적용하거나, 2) 건축물의 구조 유형에 따라 해체공사 허가 대상 기준을 세분화하는 방식 등을 활용한 해체공사 안전관리를 개선할 수 있다.

토치 회전식 자동용접 시스템의 용접공정변수 최적선정 (Optimum-selection in the Welding Process Variable for Torch-rotation Method of Automation Welding-machine System)

  • The purpose of this welding process of the exclusive welding-machine using welding torch-rotation type is to develop a mechanism which can solve the problem of twisting of welding wires and cables. The technique was developed by revising the torch position and smooth controlling of both the normal and reverse rotation. Some of the advantages of using the torch-rotation type apply to the work-rotation technique are the practical uses of increased work space and link work with the factory automation system. Do apply the welding process, I designed and made a special unit so called torch part in order to solve the problems of kinematical. And I made a control panel which can manipulate the progress of the entire process at the work shop. Even if it will be applied to another kind of axle casing's welding work, this process can be utilized if other sizes of the fixed pin and work part is produced and changed. The development of this exclusive welding-machine could reduce the manpower of skilled welding labor and increase productivity and better quality product in comparison to the handmade product.

VDU작업자의 작업수행도에 대한 퍼지모형 (A fuzzy model of human performance for VDU workers)

  • The widespread use of VDU has improved the efficiency of information transmission between man and machine, but has caused new occupational health and ergonomics problems. In this study, we tried to construct a fuzzy hyman performance model of VDU workers in Korea. Fuzzy inferences of human perfor- mance are obtained from the fuzzy inference rule with the job difficulty, CFF, SACL, Type A. and the degree of concentration in VDU work. Eight healthy female undergraduate students at Kyungnam university for subjects aged 20 to 23 years were examined in this experiment. They calculated continuous addition, subtraction, and multiplication of 1 or 2 digit numbers that were produced randomly on the CRT. Subjects peoformed two types of a numeric operation, which easy and difficult work produced 400 and 600 problems within a 40 minute work session, respectively. Subjects were tested over two workdays according to the type of work(easy and difficult) consisting of four 40 minutes work sessions in the morning. Each work lasted for five minutes with a ten minutes rest break. 117 fuzzy inference rules were obtained from the experimental data. The value of consequent part was obtained by a descent method. The difference between real human error and estimated value of fuzzy inference was $1.8075{\pm}1.8591%(M{\pm}SD)$. The difference in easy and diffcult works were $2.69{\pm}2.13%$ and $0.92{\pm}0.93%$, respectively.

일-가족 시간배분에 따른 가구유형과 변화 - 퍼지셋 이상형 분석의 적용 - (Household Types and Changes of Work-Family Time Allocation - Adapting Fuzzy-set Ideal Type Analysis -)

  • 본 연구는 생활시간조사자료를 활용하여 가구 내에서 배분되는 일-가족시간에 대한 실증분석을 수행하였다. 부부의 유급노동시간과 가족시간에서 차지하는 남성의 비중을 근거로 일-가족 시간 배분을 4개의 모형(전통적 남성생계부양, 이중노동부담, 협조적 적응, 가족친화적 남성생계부양)으로 유형화하였으며, 퍼지셋이상형분석을 통해 각 유형에 소속되어 있는 정도를 점수화한 후, 각 모형의 소속점수에 대한 중다회귀분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과, 지난 10년간 이중노동부담의 비중이 감소하고 협조적 적응 유형이 증가한 것으로 나타나고 있으나, 여전히 전체적인 모형별 분포를 보면 전통적인 성분업에 고착된 구조를 보여주고 있었다. 4개의 시간배분 모형에 대한 회귀분석 결과 역시 각 모형별 분석의 유용성을 보여주었으며, 무엇보다 성분업 의식의 역할은 제한적인 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 향후 가족정책의 논의에 있어 가구내의 미시적 성분업 구조와 일-가족시간의 배분과 관련된 역동성을 좀 더 면밀히 파악할 필요가 있다는 점과, 방법론적 함의로 미시자료를 이용한 양적연구에서도 퍼지셋 활용이 방법론적 다양성을 제공해 줄 수 있다는 점을 논의하였다.

노후의 일 . 여가 태도에 따른 노인공동생활주택 선호 경향 (Preferences about Senior Congregate Housing by Attitudes on Work and Leisure in Later Life)

  • Regarding leisure and work as very important in residential life of old ages, this study analyzed their preference by leisure and work for senior congregate housing, which can provide proper work and leisure activities for older people who are able to manage their social activities with healthy condition. It conducted a survey of middle aged of the 50's who would face problems of senior housing in 2010, with stratified sampling by region, sex and housing structure type. Totally 556 Questionnaires were used for the final analysis. The research results showed that, first, the group which was positive toward their works mostly had spouse of the age of early 50' s and work for professional, technological, managerial positions with good health. Second, the more positive group towards their work showed high willingness to move in senior congregate housing, than a negative group towards their work, and put a weight on the openness of shared space and facilities as well as various alarming equipments, common space, common programs and the ability of managers. Third, according to the attitudes toward leisure activities, there were differences in each group by housing structure type, education of their own or their spouses, monthly income, property, economic ability, health condition, living together with spouse, housing tenureship, and usable area of houses. The fourth was that those who enjoy active leisure activities presented high willingness to move in senior congregate housing than those of negative attitude and also there was a difference in managerial ways. Throughout the results of the study, it appeared that a group of positive attitude toward work and leisure, than that of negative attitude, recognized the importance of senior congregate housing which social and leisure programs could support. It implied necessary to develop housing for the older people who have enough ability to manage their leisure activity as well as their work. The study is likely to have a contribution to suggest practical data for helping the development of housing for self-reliant seniors by analyzing their preference on senior congregate housing by their attitudes toward work. The research for the factors of various designs and managements by leisure and work may become the following research theme of the study.

Work function variation of doped ZnO nanorods by Kelvin probe force microscopy

  • One dimensional (1-D) structures of ZnO nanorods are promising elements for future optoelectronic devices. However there are still many obstacles in fabricating high-quality p-type ZnO up to now. In addition, it is limited to measure the degree of the doping concentration and carrier transport of the doped 1-D ZnO with conventional methods such as Hall measurement. Here we demonstrate the measurement of the electronic properties of p- and n-doped ZnO nanorods by the Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM). Vertically aligned ZnO nanorods with intrinsic n-doped, As-doped p-type, and p-n junction were grown by vapor phase epitaxy (VPE). Individual nanowires were then transferred onto Au films deposited on Si substrates. The morphology and surface potentials were measured simultaneously by the KPFM. The work function of the individual nanorods was estimated by comparing with that of gold film as a reference, and the doping concentration of each ZnO nanorods was deduced. Our KPFM results show that the average work function difference between the p-type and n-type regions of p-n junction ZnO nanorod is about ~85meV. This value is in good agreement with the difference in the work function between As-doped p- and n-type ZnO nanorods (96meV) measured with the same conditions. This value is smaller than the expected values estimated from the energy band diagram. However it is explained in terms of surface state and surface band bending.

고령 경비원의 직무스트레스와 관련요인 (Occupational Stress and Related Factors among Aged Security Guards)

  • Purpose: Occupational stress is a determinant risk factor for cardiovascular disease and work disability. This study aims to describe occupational stress and identify its related factors among aged security guards. Methods: A random sample of 76 aged security guards were interviewed by three research assistants. The criteria of the subjects were as follows : 50 or older male with 40 or more working hours a week working with colleagues ranged from 3 to 50. The data were collected in September, 2007 and analyzed by multiple regression using SAS Version 9.1. Results: The mean score of occupational stress among aged security guards was 47.2. The mean scores of its sub-scales were 31.3(physical environment), 33.8(occupational demand), 80.8occupational control), 44.6(interpersonal conflict), 51.3 (occupational insecurity), 53.6(occupational system), 57.5(lack of reward), and 30.3(work environment). The scores of occupational control, interpersonal conflict, and occupational insecurity were higher than the scores of Korean average occupational stress sub-scales. Significant variables affecting occupational stress and its sub-scales were work place, work type, and employment type. Conclusion: In order to reduce occupational stress among security guards, sufficient occupational control and interpersonal conflict control, appropriate reward, and employment stability should be considered. Also long working hours and work shift should be improved.

Foot Type Classification of Korean Male Farmers for Ergonomic Work Shoes Design

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to identify foot shapes of Korean male farmers by classifying their foot types using 3D scan data and analyzing the characteristics of each type. Background: The increasing demands for anthropometric information for the design of machinery and personal protective equipment to prevent occupational injuries has necessitated an understanding of the anthropometric differences to be found among occupations. Static stooped posture and squatting posture are so common in Korean farmers that anthropometric deformation in foot especially seems to occur easily. Method: 366 Korean male farmers volunteered for this study from 16 different farming villages nationwide from 2009 to 2011. Subjects were categorized into 4 age groups from 40s to 70s. Their right feet were measured by using 3D foot scanner, the anthropometric dimensions were composed of 40 items. Results: The 8 major factors affecting the foot shapes were extracted. From these factors the foot shape of Korean male farmers was classified into 3 Foot types. Foot type 1 showed severe deformation in toe 1, type 2 had a narrow shape and type 3 had a wider width for its length. Conclusion: There were some differences in foot shape and types between farmers and the public. The most characteristic foot type in Korean male farmers was type 3. Application: The results of identifying foot shapes of Korean male farmers might provide the useful information for designing ergonomic farm work shoes.

Heart Disease and Occupational Risk Factors in the Canadian Population: An Exploratory Study Using the Canadian Community Health Survey

  • Background: The objective of this study is to find temporal trends in the associations between cardiovascular disease and occupational risk factors in the context of the Canadian population. Methods: Population data were analyzed from the Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) collected between 2001 and 2014 for trends over time between heart disease and various occupational risk factors: hours worked, physical exertion at work, and occupation type (management/arts/education, business/finance, sales/services, trades/transportations, and primary industry/processing). Results: We found no significant difference in the average number of hours worked/wk between individuals who report having heart disease in all years of data except in 2011 ($F_{1,96}=7.02$, p = 0.009) and 2012 ($F_{1,96}=8.86$, p = 0.004). We also found a significant difference in the degree of physical exertion at work in 2001 ($F_{1,79}=7.45$, p = 0.008). There were statistically significant results of occupation type on self-reported heart disease from 2003 to 2014. Conclusion: Canadian data from the CCHS do not exhibit a trend toward an association between heart disease and the number of hours worked/wk. There is an association between heart disease and physical exertion at work, but the trend is inconsistent. The data indicate a trend toward an association between heart disease and occupation type, but further analysis is required to determine which occupation type may be associated with heart disease.

한국 여성의 생애 유형: 저출산과 M자형 취업곡선에의 함의 (Patterns of Korean Women′s Life Course)

  • 이 연구는 결혼, 출산, 취업 시기와 순서에 기초하여 한국 여성의 생애과정의 유형적 특성을 분석하고 있다. 또한 생애 유형의 변화와 집단간 차이에 유의하면서 결혼코호트와 여성의 가족ㆍ개인 특성에 따라 생애 유형의 차이를 설명하고 있다. 분석에 활용한 자료는 2002년 한국여성개발원이 조사한 '제4차 여성 취업실태조사'이다. 초혼 경험이 있는 기혼 여성의 생애는 크게 다섯 유형으로 구분되었다. 결혼과 출산기간에도 쉬지 않고 계속 일한 여성(일ㆍ가족역할 중복형, 13.7%), 결혼 전에 일하였지만 출산/육아기간 동안 일을 그만두고 공백기 이후 다시 일자리로 돌아온 여성(M형, 18.6%), 결혼과 출산 직후 일을 그만 둔 여성(잠재 M형, 26.9%), 결혼 전에 일한 경험이 없지만 결혼/육아 이후 일자리를 처음 가진 여성(양육 후 입직형, 23.5%), 마지막으로 전혀 일한 경험이 없는 여성(17.3%)이다. 각 생애유형의 상대적 구성은 결혼코호트에 따라 유의한 차이가 존재하였다 최근의 결혼코호트일수록 M형(잠재 M형 포함)이 지배적인 생애 유형이 되고 있다. 양육 후 처음 일을 하거나, 전혀 일한 경험이 없는 기혼여성의 비율은 최근 결혼코호트일수록 작아지고 있다. 또한 1990년 이후 결혼한 여성에서 일가족 중복형의 생애 패턴이 증가하는 경향이 확인된다. 동일 코호트 내에서 살펴보면, 생애 유형은 여성의 교육수준 성장기 일하는 여성의 역할 모델의 존재(어머니의 취업), 남편과 여성의 성역할태도, 가구의 주 생업에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 마지막으로 여성의 생애유형별 일과 가족역할의 의미를 조망하고 있다.
