  • The study on Wholesale pricing of MVNO using two way interconnection charge system is rare. This paper considers MVNO possessing its own facilities and subscribers. While previous studies focus on wholesale provision by MNO, this paper employs another approach from existing MVNO model. This paper introduces two way interconnection charge system by recognizing that mobile network interconnection is important to complete the call from MNO to MVNO as well as the call from MVNO to MNO. Also it is interesting to analyze wholesale pricing when there is brand loyalty between MNO and MVNO. This paper analyzes retail pricing and wholesale pricing under duopoly competition and drives social optimal solutions using linear city model.

  • The issues on the interconnection of telecommunications network are recently prevailed in the IT industry. In this study, we classify the network interconnection system into two categories: two way-same price model and two way-different price model. The purpose of this paper is to analyze economic characteristics of optimal settlement system according to each model. One of the most important policy implications we derive through this study is that symmetry between enterprises is required for policy maker or regulatory agency to set an efficient settlement system under two way-same price model, but that symmetry is not necessarily required under two way-same price model.

  • For the efficient interconnection between SMDS and LAN, an interconnection protocol architecture in the router is proposed in this paper. A control method of xongestion which is produced by this interconnection of SMDS and LAN is also proposed. Especially, the SIP level 3 of SMDS is devided into CS-SIP3 sublayer and CLNAP sublayer in order to circumvent the problems which are producted by the protocol difference of two networks and to consider the interconnection with B-ISDN in the future. In this way, the interconnection of SMDS and LAN is transparentlly achieved through CLNAP layer, and the interconnection protocol architecture becomes simple. To test the performance of the router, amodel of interconnection protocol which is proposed by this paper is simulated using sliding window flow control. The simulation results show that the throughput of router is increased. The packet delay and the rate of packet discard are also decreased.

  • When two adjacent AC systems operate at different frequency such as 50Hz and 60Hz, as in the case of ROK and Russia, the only way to practically obtain the advantages of power system interconnection is to use HVDC connection. In this paper, application of the VSC-HVDC transmission for power system interconnection between Russia and ROK is evaluated through the PSCAD/EMTDC modeling and analysis. The simulation results show the feasibility of proposed system for cross border power system interconnection.

  • In the integrated development environments for automatic generation of Java applets and applications tat can be used as Internet and Intranet-based client-server programs, it is essential to interconnect between the function components such as main window, project manager, object inspector, source code editor, and form designer. This paper describes the function components related with the generation of mobile code based client-server program. In then designs and implements a data structure, named 'JCode', for interconnection between the function components. Finally, it discusses the action principles of Two-Way Access technique based on JCode. By applying the proposed JCode based interconnection technique, user can program efficiently using the function components.

  • We introduced mathematical economic analysis model for understanding the fairness of charge from VoIP providers for interconnection of access network. In order to set up this model we made four assumptions predictable in the real world. Also we proposed two accounting method that is flat-rate-pricing and usage-based-pricing and tried to propose which method is more desirable to charge for interconnection on the basis of social welfare and activation of market competitiveness. The outcome of this study includes the reasonable accounting method for interconnection between telephone network and IP Phone network which is most effective to ensure the social welfare and market competitiveness

  • We can consider the interconnection structure suing WDM from two different levels, physical and virtual topologies. In the virtual topology, various channels on physical links can be established between transmitters and the receivers of the nodes. It is important to design efficient virtual topologies, because they have a benefit of performance improvement in interconnection networks depending on traffic matrices without changing physical topologies. In this paper we suggest a way to design virtual topologies that minimize average packet delays for given traffic matrices using genetic algorithms.
