Carbon Nanotube 잉크 환경에서의 Si-Diamond-Like Carbon 박막의 내마모 특성 (Tribological Characteristics of Si-Diamond-Like Carbon Films in a Condition with Carbon Nanotube Ink Lubricant)

  • We investigated tribological characteristics of diamond-like carbon (DLC) in a condition with carbon nanotube (CNT) content of 1wt% in aqueous solution. Si-DLC films were deposited by radio frequency plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (RF-PECVD) process on Al6061 aluminum alloy. In this study, the deposition of DLC films was carried out in vacuum with a chamber pressure of 10-5 to 10-3 Torr achieved by mechanical pump followed by turbo molecular pump. The surface adsorbed oxygen on the Aluminum substrates was removed by passing Ar gas for 10 minutes. The RF power was maintained at 500W throughout the experiment. A buffer layer of HMDSO was deposited on the substrate to improve the adhesion of DLC coating. At this point CH4 gas was introduced in the chamber using gas flow controller and DLC coating was deposited on the buffer layer along with HMDSO for 50 min. The thickness of 1 ${\mu}m$ was obtained for DLC films on aluminum substrates The tribological properties of as synthesized DLC films were analyzed by wear test in the presence of dry air, water and lubricant such as CNT ink.

진공시스템 성능에 대한 설계인자 영향 전산모사 (Simulation of Design Factor Effects on Performance of Vacuum System)

  • 진공시스템 최적화 설계를 위한 시스템 성능에 대한 설계인자 영향이 전산모사로 연구되었다. 본 연구로 상업화 전산모사기인 $VacSim^{Multi}$에 의한 진공시스템 모델링기구가 제시되었으며 진공시스템의 진공생성기구인 펌핑계 설계인자의 영향을 평가하여 향후 여러 설계인자들의 전산모사 연구 가능성이 확인되었다. $VacSim^{Multi}$의 저진공펌프 모델 전산모사 결과와 펌프사양에 의한 배기거동이 오차범위로 일치하였으며 부스터펌프의 사용이 중진공영역 응용에 효과적인 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 자체 배기능력이 없는 유확산펌프와 터보분자펌프 배기계의 최적화보조펌프 조합이 제시되었으며, 유확산 및 터보분자펌프 배기계의 시스템 공정응용특성도 확인되었다.

  • A project where the TPUs(Turbo Pump Units) for 10tf-thrust oxygen/methane LRE (Liquid Rocket Engine) are under development is being implemented to include an experimental combustion chamber developed. In the process of it, we introduced the power-balanced engine cycles in order to substantiate concepts of the engine using the combinations of the propellants. Accordingly, the main engine parameters of nominal operating mode are resulted from the 1-Dcalculations and it is found that the regulators are needed for controlling the expected pressure levels in the characteristics of propellant mixture ratio and thrust supposing the regulator is set to analogue-typed one which is easy to develop.The technical requirements like the nominal flow rate, its deviations expected and the pressure difference In need helped the several main characteristics of regulators to be determine in this stage. Here, a dozen of deviation values in the main parameters related to engineoperation are taken into independent consideration and accepted to the results for additional regimes of the regulators.Finally, we can determine the scheme and the primary dimensions along with the calculation design of the spring acceptable for general configuration which can definitely forwarded to the autonomous tests of the aggregates, The obtained data in further will be used for successive refinement of operating mode of the engine.

  • 5-axis NC machining has a good advantage of the accessibility of tool motion by adding two rotary axes. It offers numerous advantages such as expanding machining fields in parts of turbo machineries like impeller, propeller, turbine blade and rotor, reasonable tool employment and great reduction of the set-up process. However, as adding two rotary axes, it is difficult to choose suitable machining conditions in terms of tool path, tool posture, feedrate control at a tool tip and post-processing. Therefore in this paper, it is proposed to decide suitable machining condition through an experimental method such as adopting various tool paths, tool postures, and feedrate types. Machining experiment on AL7075 for impeller is performed to define suitable machining condition, and measurement of surface roughness on machined surfaces depended on each machining condition is performed. By defining suitable machining condition, we should have conclusion as improving the surface quality in the aspect of surface roughness and machined shape of surface.

A Practical Physical-Layer Network Coding for Fading Channels

  • In the conventional PNC scheme, the relay node requires simultaneous transmission of two source nodes with strict power control and carrier-phase matching between two received symbols. However, this pre-equalization process at source nodes is not practical in fading channels. In this letter, we propose a novel physical-layer network coding (PNC) scheme with log-likelihood ratio (LLR) conversion for fading channels, which utilizes not pre-equalizer at transmitters (source nodes) but joint detector at receiver (relay node). The proposed PNC requires only channel side information at the receiver (CSIR), which is far more practical assumption in fading channels. In addition, the proposed PNC scheme can use the conventional modulation scheme like M-QAM regardless of modulation order, while the conventional PNC scheme requires reconfiguration of modulation scheme at the source nodes for detection of the received signal at relay node. We consider the combination of the proposed PNC and channel coding, and find that the proposed PNC scheme is easily combined the linear channel codes such as turbo codes, LDPC, and convolutional codes.

Iterative Reliability-Based Modified Majority-Logic Decoding for Structured Binary LDPC Codes

  • In this paper, we present an iterative reliability-based modified majority-logic decoding algorithm for two classes of structured low-density parity-check codes. Different from the conventional modified one-step majority-logic decoding algorithms, we design a turbo-like iterative strategy to recover the performance degradation caused by the simply flipping operation. The main computational loads of the presented algorithm include only binary logic and integer operations, resulting in low decoding complexity. Furthermore, by introducing the iterative set, a very small proportion (less than 6%) of variable nodes are involved in the reliability updating process, which can further reduce the computational complexity. Simulation results show that, combined with the factor correction technique and a well-designed non-uniform quantization scheme, the presented algorithm can achieve a significant performance improvement and a fast decoding speed, even with very small quantization levels (3-4 bits resolution). The presented algorithm provides a candidate for trade-offs between performance and complexity.

선반의 동특성 향상을 위한 구조 개선에 관한 연구 (Design Alteration of A Lathe Structure for the Improved Dynamic Stability)

  • The productivity and the precision machining are the major concerns of the machine tools, and the importance of those features will be even more emphasized with the needs of the modern industries. In this paper the dynamic properties of a lathe have been investigated through the frequency analysis test and the computer simulation to minimize the transmission of vibration generated during the machining process. The modifications have been applied to the original structure to suppress the vibration transmission and further for the structure to achieve less vibrations and higher precision machining. The result shows that the machine can have much less vibrations with simple design alterations for minor expenses, the result can also be readily applied to many similar machines for improved stability.

터보팬 엔진 고압터빈 노즐에 대한 크리깅 모델 기반 근사모델의 신뢰도 및 공력성능 최적화 연구 (A Study on Reliability of Kriging Based Approximation Model and Aerodynamic Optimization for Turbofan Engine High Pressure Turbine Nozzle)

  • In the present study, three-dimensional aerodynamic optimization of high pressure turbine nozzle for turbofan engine was performed. For this, Kriging surrogate model was built and refined iteratively by supplying additional experimental points until the surrogate model and CFX result has effective difference on objective function. When the surrogate model satisfied this reliability condition and developed enough, optimum point was investigated. Commercial program PIAnO was used for optimization process and evolutionary algorithm was used for searching optimum point. As a result, difference between estimated value from Kriging surrogate model and CFD result converges within 0.01% and the optimized nozzle shape has 0.83% improved aerodynamic efficiency.

  • 고성능 액체로켓엔진 개발을 위하여 터보펌프를 사용하는 재생냉각형 액체로켓엔진시스템의 배치안을 마련하였다. 엔진시스템을 구성하는 부품들에 대하여 각각의 특성을 고려하고 현실적으로 제작 및 조립이 가능하도록 3차원 디지털 모형을 제작하여 검증하였다. 1단 엔진시스템은 1축 김벌링을 하며 4개의 엔진 조립체로 클러스터링할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 2단용 엔진시스템은 2축 김벌링을 하며 1개의 엔진 조립체로 구성하였다. 1단 및 2단 엔진시스템의 조립 및 분해 공정 그리고 관련 프로그램 또한 개발하였다. 그리고 엔진시스템의 조립 및 분해 공정을 효율적으로 수행하기 위하여 여러 형태의 전용 치/공구 또한 설계하였다.
