  • In this paper, does by purpose DC servo motor speed controller design about PID coefficient tuning techniques that use genetic algerian. DC servo motor is used in application field of a peat many control machine or robot etc. and in this field, selection of controller parameters requires user's expert knowledge. Therefore, general amount of work engineers must continuously iteration tuning in controller parameters by trial and error. With this, when must tuning parameter coefficient about change of dynamic system or disturbance, can improve the efficiency according to following that is more precised and parameter coefficient value that is optimized by using genetic algorithm. In this paper, from dynamic character modeling get in analyze dynamic character of DC motor desist controller drive control possible that is fast response character md improved speed precision using a Genetic Algorithms.

Static Stiffness Tuning Method of Rotational Joint of Machining Center (머시닝센터 회전 결합부의 정강성 Tuning 기법)

  • A method has been developed to tune the static stiffness at a rotation joint considering the whole machine tool system by interactive use of finite element method and experiment. This paper describes the procedure of this method and shows the results. The method uses the static experiment on measurement model which is set-up so that the effects of uncertain factors can be excluded. For FEM simulation, the rotation joint model is simplified using only spindle, bearing and spring. At the rotation joint, the damping coefficient is ignored, The spindle and bearing is connected by only spring. By static experiment, 500 N is forced to the front and behind portion of spindle and the deformation is measured by capacitive sensor. The deformation by FEM simulation is extracted with changing the static stiffness from the initial static stiffness considering only rotation joint. The tuning static stiffness is obtained by exploring the static stiffness directly trusting the deformation from the static experiment. Finally, the general tuning method of the static stiffness of machine tool joint is proposed using the force stream and the modal analysis of machine tool.

  • This paper presents a simple two-degree of freedom PID tuning table based on the CDM design method. The structure of the control system will be composed of plant, P or PI or PID controller and a pre-filter. The finalized formula can be used based on the experimental test of the plant in the same manner as the Ziegler-Nichols' second method. That is; users just need to find the critical gain and critical period experimentally and the parameters of the P, PI or PID controller with the pre-filter can be obtained by substituting the values of critical gain and critical period in the tuning table. The simulation results of the control systems utilizing the proposed controllers compared with those using the Ziegler-Nichols' second method will also be demonstrated.

  • The paper presents a model reference adaptive control containing a fuzzy algorithm for tuning the gain coefficient which adjusts the level of the fuzzy controller output. The synthesis of a fuzzy tuning algorithm has been performed for the inverted pendulum system. The computer simulation results have proved the efficiency of the proposed method, showing stable system responses.

  • This paper presents a parameter tuning method of a LLC resonant converter for a wireless charging circuit. A switched-capacitor is used to change the resonant frequency of the resonant circuit. The simulation results verify that the efficiency of the power transfer can be improved by a duty control of the switched-capacitor for various values of the coupling coefficient.

  • A study on estimation of the datum level is carried out by combining observed and simulated harmonic constants of 4 major tides ($M_2$tide, $S_2$tide, $K_2$tide, and $O_1$tide). In the coastal zone, the datum level can be estimated by using observed tide harmonic constants at tide station. The observed tide harmonic constants, however, cannot be used to calculate the datum level of the sea because of the lack of tide station. In order to estimate the datum level of the sea, it is necessary to adopt the simulated harmonic constants instead of the observed ones. In this study, the datum level is calculated by using the simulated harmonic constants which is modified by tuning coefficient based on relationship between observed and simulated harmonic constants at tide station. Tuning coefficient of sea is interpolated on TIN (Triangulated Irregular Network) which has node points at tide stations.

  • Acoustic design parameters of a half-wave resonator are studied experimentally for acoustic stability in a model chamber. According to the standard acoustic-test procedures, acoustic-pressure signals are measured. Quantitative acoustic properties of damping factor and sound absorption coefficient are evaluated and thereby, the acoustic-damping capacity of the resonator is examined. The diameter and the number of a half-wave resonator, its distribution, and the diameter of an enclosure are selected as the design parameters for optimal tuning of the resonator. Aroustic-damping capacity of the resonator increases with its diameter. When the open-area ratio of the resonator exceeds the optimum value, over-damping appears, leading to the decrease in the peak absorption coefficient and the broadening of absorption bandwidth. As the resonator diameter increases, optimum open-area ratio decreases.

  • We investigate the pulsation characteristics in a multi-section DFB laser which is composed of one DFB section, phase tuning section, and gain section. Multi-section DFB lasers with anti-phase (AP) complex-coupled (CC) DFB structure show wide current ranges of gain and phase tuning sections fer stable pulsations compared to those with in-phase CC DFB structure or index-coupled DFB structure. For multi-section DFB lasers with AP CC DFB structure, the current range of a gain section for stable pulsations increases and the tuning range of the pulsation frequency increases as a coupling strength or a gain coupling coefficient increases Also, the tuning range using the phase variation in a phase tuning section increases. For a fixed coupling strength, the current ranges of gain and phase tuning sections for stable pulsations increase and the tuning range of the pulsation frequency increases as the length of a DFB section increases.

  • In this paper a self-tuning gain-scheduled skyhook control for semi-active suspension systems is investigated. The dynamic characteristics of a continuously variable damper including electro-hydraulic pressure control valves is analyzed. A 2-d.o.f. time-varying quarter-car model that permits variations in sprung mass and suspension spring coefficient is considered. The self-tuning skyhook control algorithm proposed in this paper requires only the measurement of body acceleration. The absolute velocity of the sprung mass and the relative velocity of the suspension deflection are estimated by using integral filters.
