관막음된 증기발생기 전열관의 유체유발진동 특성 평가 (Estimation of Flow-induced Vibration characteristics on Plugged Steam Generator)

  • In this study, we investigate the plugging effect on the CE type steam generator tube. The natural frequency and mode shape will be changed due to decrease of the effective mass distribution along the tube. We compared the variation of stability ratio for plugged tube with that for unplugged one. The natural frequency increased because of removing the cooling water inside the steam generator tube, but the stability ratio decreased inversely because of changing the vibrational model shape. We also investigated the turbulent excitation effect.

말뚝의 설치 방법에 따른 관내토의 폐색 거동 (Soil Plugging Behavior of Open -ended Pile for Different Installation Methods)

  • 내관과 외관이 분리된, 특별하게 제작된 모형 개단 말뚝을 상이한 방법으로 압력토조내에 설치하여 정적 압축 재하 실험을 실시하였다. 개단 말뚝 각 지지부에서의 지지력을 분리.측정하여 개단 말뚝의 지지 메카니즘과 관내토의 폐색 거동 특성을 고찰하였다. 상대밀도 49%의 모형 지반에 타격 관입된 말뚝의 관내토폐색력은 관입도중 20%정도 발휘되고 압축재하시에 대부분이 발휘되며, 토조에 작용된 구속 압력은 관내토 폐색에 크게 영향을 미치지 않았다. 그러나, 진동 관입된 말뚝의 관내토 폐색력은 관입도중에는 전혀 발생하지 않으며, 압축재하시에 약하게 형성되고, 타격 관입말뚝의 그것의 0.5~0.7배 정도가 발휘되는데 토조에 작용된 구속 압력은 관내토 폐색에 크게 영향을 미쳤다. 단위 관내토 폐색력은 극한 상태에서 최대값에 도달하지 않았다. 즉, 극한 상태에서 관내토는 파괴상태에 도달되지 않았다.

기상 화학증착법에 의해 $\alpha$-Alumina 지지관 상에 제조한 Silica막의 수소투과 특성 (Hydrogen Permeance of Silica Membrane Prepared by Chemical Vapor Deposition Method on an $\alpha$-Alumina Support Tube)

  • A porous $\alpha$-alumina tube of 2.5 mm O.D. and 1.9 mm I.D. was used as the support of an inorganic membrane. Macropores of the tube, about 150 nm in size, were plugged with silica formed by thermal decomposition of tetraethylorthosilicate at $600^{\circ}C$. The forced cross-flow CVD method that reactant was evacuated through the porous wall of the support was very effective in plugging macropores. The H$_2$ permeance of the prepared membrane was of the order of $10^{-8}/ molㆍs^{-1}/ㆍm^{-2}/. Pa{-1}$/, while the $N_2$ permeance was below $10^{-11}/ molㆍs^{-1}/ㆍm^{-2}/ㆍPa^{-1}$/ at $600^{\circ}C$. This was comparable to that of silica-modified Vycor glass whose size was 4 nm.

월성 3,4호기 증기발생기 전열관 검사 (Wolsong 3&4 Steam Generator Tube Inspection)

  • During the Pre-service Inspection for Wolsong Unit 3&4 in 1997/1998 respectively, 17 Distorted Roll Transition indications(over expanded beyond tubesheet secondary face) were identified at the Unit 4 (S/G B, D). Six(6) tubes out of these tubes were plugged in 1998. However the first Periodic Inspection identified additional 110 indications in 1999 and 2000. The additionally identified 110 indication call, not reported at the Pre-service Inspection, are; 2 Not-Finally-Expanded-Tubes and 108 Distorted Roll Transition tubes. Design limit of each Steam Generator tube Plugging is 6.4%. Plugging was performed by the Steam Generator manufacturer under the warranty. When Distorted Roll Transition indications were first identified on the Unit 4 in 1998 the degree of Over-expansion was measured using an inner dial-gage to make the disposition of Nonconformance report. 2 Not-Finally-Expanded-Tubes were plugged and 10 tubes out of 108 Distorted Roll Transition Tubes were also plugged as a preventive measure.

증기발생기 전열관 확관천이부위 축방향 관통균열의 관막음 기준에 관한 연구 (Study on Plugging Criteria for Thru-wall Axial Crack in Roll Transition Zone of Steam Generator Tube)

  • The stream generator tubes represent an integral part of a major barrier against the fission product release to the environment. So, the rupture of these tubes could permit flow of reactor coolant into the secondary system and injure the safety of reactor coolant system. Therefore, if the crack was detected during In-Service Inspection of tubes the cracked tube should be evaluated by the pulgging criteria and plugged or not. In this study, the fracture mechanics evaluation is carried out on the thru-wall axial crack due to Primary Water Stress Corrosion Cracking in the roll transition aone of steam generator tube to help the assurence the integrity of tubes and estabilish the plugging criteria. Due to the Inconel which is used as tube material is more ductile than others, the plastic instability repture theory was used to calculate the critical and allowable crack length. Based on Leak Before Break concept the leak rate for the critical crack length and the allowable leak rate are compared and the safety of tubes was given.

  • As operating time of heat exchangers progresses, fouling generated by water-borne deposits increases and thermal performance decreases. The fouling is known to interfere with normal flow characteristics and reduce thermal efficiencies of heat exchangers. The heat exchangers of nuclear power plants have been analyzed in terms of the heat flux and heat transfer coefficient at test conditions based on the ASME OM-S/G-Part 2 as a means of heat exchanger management. It is hard to estimate the heat performance trend and to establish the future management plan. This paper describes the fouling evaluation method which can evaluate the thermal performance for heat exchangers and estimate the future fouling variations and the plugging margin evaluation method which can reflect the current fouling level developed in this study. To develop the fouling and plugging margin evaluation methods for heat exchangers, fouling factor was introduced based on the ASME O&M codes and TEMA standards. For the purpose of verifying the two evaluation methods, the fouling and plugging margin evaluations were performed for a component cooling heat exchanger in a nuclear power plant.

소듐 분위기에서 물누출에 의한 5Cr-1Mo Ferrite강 구멍의 막힘과 재개방 현상 (Plugging and Re-opening Phenomena of the 5Cr-1Mo Steel Leak Hole by Water Leakage in Sodium Atmosphere)

  • 액체금속로 증기발생기 전열관 재질로 사용이 예상되는 ferrite steel 시편을 사용해서 소듐분위기에서 미량의 물 누출 실험을 수행하였다. 누출경로는 소듐-물 반응생성물 및 부식생성물에 의한 self-plugging 현상과 열적인 transient 및 전열관의 vibration에 의한 re-opening 메카니즘으로 설명이 가능하였다. 실험결과, 600 Psig의 injection 압력으로 5 g $H_2O$를 소듐분위기 속의 시편으로 누출시킨 경우, 누출초기와 약 70분 경과 후에 약간의 누출 흔적이 보였으나, self-plugging되었던 누출경로는 129분이 경과되자 완전 re-opening된 것으로 확인되었다. 누출시편의 re-opening shape은 2중으로 되어 있었으며, 소듐부위에서 시편 표면에 나타난 re-opening size 약 2 mm의 직경을 나타내었다.
