양계사료의 True Metabolizable Energy측정에 영향하는 요인에 관한 시험 V. 기초사료의 에너지수준이 옥수수와 대두박의 Apparent Metabolizable Energy 및 True Metabolizable Energy가에 미치는 영향 (Factors Affecting True Metabolizable Energy Determination of Poultry Feedingstuffs V.   • 본 시험은 기초사료의 에너지수준을 2,400Kcal/kg에서 3,000Kcal/kg까지 달리하고 옥수수와 대두박의 apparent metabolism energy (AME), true metabolism energy (TME)가에 미치는 영창을 검토하고자 실시한바 다음의 결과를 얻었다. 1. 옥수수의 AME 측정치는 2,400Kcal/13%를 계외하곤 각 처리간 유의차가 인정되지 않았으며(P>0.05) 대두박은 2,800Kcal/13%와 2,800Kcal/15%, 3,000Kcal/16% 간에 유의차가 있었으나, (P<0.05) 2,600 Kcal/14% 처리와는 유의성이 발견되지 않았다. (P>0.05) 2. 기초사료의 에너지수준은 2,400kcal/13%를 제외하곤 옥수수 대두박의 AME가에 영향하지 않아 시험사료에 따라 기초사료의 에너지수준을 달리할 필요가 없다. 3. 옥수수 보다 대두박의 표준오차 값이 큰 것은 대치율이 옥수수보다 낮은데서 기인하였다. 4. 옥수수의 TME치는 AME치와 그 경향이 같았으나 대두박의 TME치는 전처리간 없었다. (P>0.05) 5. 옥수수와 대두박의 AME치와 옥수수의 TME치가 2,400Kcal/13% 처리에서 현저히 감소한 것은 사료내 단미사료간 상호작용에 기인한다고 할 수가 있다.

THE TRUE METABOLIZABLE ENERGY VALUES OF SOME SELECTED FEEDSTUFFS OF BANGLADESH

  • An experiment was conducted to measure the true metabolizable energy (TME) values of seven major poultry feed ingredients, two feed concentrates and one randomly collected layer mixed feed prepared from the available feed ingredients. The results of this study were the most thorough evaluation of the TME content of some selected common feed ingredients of Bangladesh. The observed TME values of some feed ingredients were very close to the values of different origins of feed ingredients. But the TME values measured in mixed layer feed were very low which could not support the standard requirement of laying birds. There values will be of assistance in describing the energy content of the most common available feed ingredients of Bangladesh.

Effects of dietary β-mannanase supplementation on the additivity of true metabolizable energy values for broiler diets

  • Objective: This experiment was conducted to determine the effects of dietary ${\beta}$-mannanase on the additivity of true metabolizable energy (TME) and nitrogen-corrected true metabolizable energy ($TME_n$) for broiler diets. Methods: A total of 144 21-day-old broilers were randomly allotted to 12 dietary treatments with 6 replicates. Five treatments consisted of 5 ingredients of corn, wheat, soybean meal, corn distillers dried grains with solubles, or corn gluten meal. One mixed diet containing 200 g/kg of those 5 ingredients also was prepared. Additional 6 treatments were prepared by mixing 0.5 g/kg dietary ${\beta}$-mannanase with those 5 ingredients and the mixed diet. Based on a precision-fed chicken assay, TME and $TME_n$ values for 5 ingredients and the mixed diet as affected by dietary ${\beta}$-mannanase were determined. Results: Results indicated that when ${\beta}$-mannanase was not added to the diet, measured TME and $TME_n$ values for the diet did not differ from the predicted values for the diet, which validated the additivity. However, for the diet containing ${\beta}$-mannanase, measured $TME_n$ value was greater (p<0.05) than predicted $TME_n$ value, indicating that the additivity was not validated. Conclusion: In conclusion, the additivity of energy values for the mixed diet may not be guaranteed if the diet contains ${\beta}$-mannanase.

Nutrient Digestibility of Palm Kernel Cake for Muscovy Ducks

  • Expeller pressed and solvent extracted palm kernel cake (PKC) were force-fed to male and female Muscovy ducks at 7 weeks of age. The nutrient digestibility, apparent metabolizable energy (AME), true metabolizable energy (TME) and true available amino acid (TAAA) digestibilities were determined. There was no significant (p>0.05) effect of the type of PKC used on crude protein (CP), ether extract (EE), metabolizable energy (ME) and amino acid (AA) digestibilities. However, digestibilities of dry matter (DM) and neutral detergent fibre (NDF) was found to be higher in solvent extracted compared to expeller pressed PKC. The average digestibility of DM, CP, NDF and EE were 43, 58, 39 and 89%, espectively. It was found that the ducks utilized about 47% of the gross energy of PKC. The respective average AMEn and TMEn values of PKC for Muscovy ducks was 1,743 and 1,874 kcal/kg. The overall TAAA of PKC for Muscovy ducks was 65%. The data on the TMEn and digestible AA for PKC obtained from this study provide new information with regard to diet formulation for Muscovy ducks.

  • 본 시험의 기초사료의 에너지수준을 고정하고 단백질수준을 10%에서 30%까지 달리하여 rapid bioassay 방법과 true metabolizable energy(TME) bioassay 방법을 통해 옥수수와 대두백의 apparent metabolizable energy of Farrell (AM $E_{F}$ ), Corrected AM $E_{F}$ (AM $E_{FC}$ )와 AME, TME 가 AME, TME가 측정시 미치는 영향을 검토하기 위하여 실시한 결과 다음의 성적을 얻었다. 1. 기초사료의 AM $E_{F}$ 치는 각 처리간 현저한 유의차가 인정되었으나( P<0.05) 옥수수와 대두박의 AM $E_{F}$ 치는 전처리간 유의차가 없었다(P>0.05). 기초사료의 AM $E_{FC}$ 치는 처리간 유의성이 인정된( P<0.05) 반면 옥수수는 유의차가 없었고(P>0.05) 대두박은 20% crude protein(CP), 30% CP 처리는 타 처리와 비교시 현저히 낮았다( P<0.05). 2. AM $E_{F}$ 와 AM $E_{FC}$ 측정시 섭취량은 일정치 못하여 단백섭취량도 처리간 뚜렷한 차가 없었다. 3. 기초사료 및 옥수수, 대두박의 AME가는 전처리간 현저한 차가 없었던(P>0.05). 반면 TME가는 처리간 일정한 경향없이 유의차가 있었는데 (P<0.05) 이는 metabolic fecal energy+endogenous urinary energy(FEm+UEe) 손실량이 개체마다 급이한 사료에 따라 차가 있었는데 기인한 것이었다. 4. 채분시간별 (24시간 이 30시간) 기초사료의 AME, TME치는 10, 15, 20% CP 수준에선 유의차(P<0.05)가 인정되었지만 옥수수와 대두백의 AME, TME 치는 채분시간에 따라 영향 받지 않았다. 이는 단백수준에 상관없이 채분시간은 24시간으로 충분하다고 생각된다.

대사에너지 측정방법에 대한 최근 연구동향 (Recent Development for the Determination of Metabolizable Energy Values)

  • This is to review from the existing literatures the various methods of determination, problems involved in the determination of metabolizable energy(ME) values of poultry feedstuffs that is the most widely used energy term in poultry nutrition. An attempt will also be made to introduce the newly developed determination method of ME by Sibbald and his associates. It was found that conventional methods of ME measurements such as total collection method and indicator method require a great deal of labor and time. It should also be pointed out that these methods have some technical problems as well. Experimental evidences indicate that the ME content of feedstuffs may be affected by breed, age, substitution level of basal diet, kind of basal diet, methods of chemical analysis and chemical composition of experimental diet. Standard procedures and technical advantages of newly developed method of "True Metabolizable Energy" system are fully described.

병아리 사료에서 일반대사에너지와 순대사에너지의 이론적 정확성 비교를 위한 실험 (Feeding Trials to Compare Theoretical Accuracy between Apparent and True Metabolizable Energy Systems in Chick Diets)

  • True metabolizable energy(TME) is believed a better indicator for animal performance than apparent metabolizable energy (AME) for excluding the endogenous energy losses from excreta, However few researches have been conducted to compare superiority of any energy systems through practical animal feeding tests. Present study was to compare the energy systems in young chicks in terms of predictability of energy intake for the birds performances including body energy retention and of methodological accuracy by evaluating reproducibility and additi-vity of energy values of feed ingredients and compound diets. Five ingredients such as yellow corn wheat soybean meal fish meal and wheat bran were measured for their various biological energy values. in the first feeding trial chicks were restric-ted-fed the basal diet at 80, 60 and 40% on weight basis of the amount of feed ingested by chicks fed ad libitum the same diet. chicks in the second trial were also restricted-fed diets at levels of 80, 70, 60 and 50% on energy basis of the amount consumed by the basak duet group fed ad libitum The diets in the latter trial were however composed of differeent formulations from the basal diet. One-week-old Single Comb White Leghorn male chicks were individually alloted in a cage on 10 cages/treatment basis and fed the diets for 14 days. Individual carcass energy was measured after the feeding trials. Coefficients of variation of energy measurements were lesser for nitrogen-corrected AME and TME(AMEn & TMEn respectively) than AME and TME values suggesting taht reprodu-cibility of energy determinations by former systems could be better than the latters. The coeffi-cients for AME and TME were almkost of the same values. Additivity obtained by the rations between the calculated values and catual measurements appeared quite satisfactory for all the energy systems. Those of AME and TME however were relatively better than the other systems. Regression coefficient ${r}^2$ between energy intake by various systems and chick performances appeared higher for TME, AMEn and TMEn than AME implying that the former systems could provide better predictability for body weight gain and energy retention than the AME. The ${r}^2$ values for TME and AMEn particularly for body weight gain were on the average 0.967 and 0.960 respectively. In conclusion TME or AMEn can be recommended as choice for dietary energy system in terms of performance predictability of the birds and of procedural convenience for the measurements.

Nitrogen-corrected True Metabolizable Energy and Amino Acid Digestibility of Chinese Corn Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles in Adult Cecectomized Roosters

  • This study was conducted to evaluate chemical composition, nitrogen-corrected true metabolizable energy (TMEn) and true amino acids digestibility of corn distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) produced in China. Twenty five sources of corn DDGS was collected from 8 provinces of China. A precision-fed rooster assay was used to determine TMEn and amino acids digestibility with 35 adult cecectomized roosters, in which each DDGS sample was tube fed (30 g). The average content of ash, crude protein, total amino acid, ether extract, crude fiber and neutral detergent fiber were 4.81, 27.91, 22.51, 15.22, 6.35 and 37.58%, respectively. TMEn of DDGS ranged from 1,779 to 3,071 kcal/kg and averaged 2,517 kcal/kg. Coefficient of variation for non-amino acid crude protein, ether extract, crude fiber and TMEn were 55.0, 15.7, 15.9 and 17.1%, respectively. The average true amino acid digestibility was 77.32%. Stepwise regression analysis obtained the following equation: TMEn, kcal/kg = -2,995.6+0.88${\times}$gross energy+$49.63{\times}a^*$ (BIC = 248.8; RMSE = 190.8; p<0.01). Removing gross energy from the model obtained the following equation: TMEn, kcal/kg = 57.88${\times}$ether extracts+$87.62{\times}a^*$ (BIC = 254.3, RMSE = 223.5; p<0.01). No correlation was found between color scores and lysine true digestibility (p>0.05). These results suggest that corn DDGS produced in China has a large variation in chemical composition, and gross energy and $a^*$ value can be used to generate TMEn predict equation.

호마박의 영양적 가치 평가 및 산란계 사료 내 첨가각 사양 성적에 미치는 영향 (Evaluation of the Feeding Value of Sesame Oil Meal and Effects of Its Dietary Supplementation on the Performances of Laying Hens)

  • 본 연구는 호마박의 사료적 가치를 평가하고 산란계의 성적에 미치는 호마박의 첨가 효과를 구명하기 위해 수행하였다. 실험 1에서는 16수의 ISA-Brown 종계 수탉을 공시하여 강제 급여 방법에 의해 호마박의 진정 대사에너지(TME),질소 보정 진정 대사 에너지 (TMEn)및 진정 아미노산 이용률(TAAA)을 조사하였다. 호마박의 TME 및 TMEn은 각각 2.30 kca1/g및 1.99 kcal/g이었고, 15개 아미노산의 평균 이용률은 $76.93\%$로 나타났다. 실험 2에서는 48주령의 ISA-Brown산란계 90수를 3개 처리(대조구, 호마박 $5\%$, 호마박 $10\%$)로 나누어 4주간의 사양 실험을 실시하였다. 실험사료 내 호마박 첨가가 난 생산성 및 계란 품질에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 산란계 사료 내에 호마박을 $5\%$$10\%$첨가했을 때 난 생산성 및 생산된 계란의 품질에는 큰 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 호마박 $10\%$ 첨가구에서 난황 내 Cl8:3 $\omega$3의 비율이 가장 높았으나, 통계적인 유의차는 인정되지 않았다. 혈청 내GOT, G-GT, BUN및 cholesterol 조성에 있어서도 처리간에 큰 차이는 발견되지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 호마박을 정확한 원료 평가를 거쳐 사용한다면 산란계 사료에 있어서 $10\%$까지 사용하여도 난 생산성 및 계란 품질을 저하시키지 않았으며, 공시계에게 어떠한 부정적인 영향도 미치는 않았다는 결과가 시사되었다.

진정아미노산이용율(TAAA)방법에 의한 단백질공급원의 아미노산 이용율 및 대사에너지 측정 (Determination of Amino Acid Availability and Metabolizable Energy in Protein Feedstuffs by True Amino Acid Availability(TAAA) Method)

  • TAAA(true amino acid availability)방법에 의해 단백질공급원들의 진정아미노산 이용율과 대사에너지가를 측정하기 위하여 시험원료당 수탉 3수씩을 공시하여 35시간 절식후 30g의 시험원료를 강제급이 한 다음 36시간 동안 분요를 채취하였다. 진정아미노산 이용율은 단백질원료간에 유의한 차이(P<0.01)가 있었는데 어분(96.1%)이 가장 높았고, 다음이 옥수수글루텐(91.2%), 채종박(88.8%), 대두박(88.7%), 육골분(87.2%), 캐놀라박(86.1%), 면실박(82.6%) 그리고 우모분(82.5%) 순이었다. TAAA방법에 의한 가용 Iysine 값은 chick bioassay(CBA)나 화학적 방법중 FDNB방법에 의해 얻어진 가용 Iysine 값과 고도(P<0.01)의 상관관계가 있었다. 진정대사에너지가는 옥수수글루텐(4,011 kcal/kg)이 가장 높았고 다음이 어분(3,906), 우모분(3,098), 대두박(3,007), 육골분(2,631), 캐놀라(2,326), 면실박(2,246) 그리고 채종박(2,120) 순이었다.
