  • 'True education', which was the core ideology of 'the Korean Teachers & Educational Workers Union', is re-appropriated in the new media era. This word, which is actively used by young people, means 'punishment against the object of social condemnation'. One of the characteristics of 'true education contents' commonly seen on the Internet is that it shows a tendency to 'fragmentation'. True educational contents are short in length, and the contents are very local. This reflects the characteristics of a postmodern society where totality disappears and small stories are consumed. Second, the standard for dividing good and evil is extremely 'arbitrary'. Whereas the existing stories of rewarding virtue and punishing vice had universal values such as love, consideration, and peace, the content of true education distinguishes good and evil with an extremely narrow perspective. The way to justify arbitrary standard is to incite public outrage. Third, 'humour' is added. Here, humor is combined with the emotion of hatred, causing the problem of weakening people's critical consciousness.

  • Developing from stereoscopic to autostereoscopic, researchers on display technology are trying to provide more depth cues to viewer, leading to the advent of true 3D display. Volumetric 3D displays seem to be practical technology at present. Ultimate display will function like human vision system, with characteristics of providing all depth cues and free interaction.

  • According to depth cues of an image, the optical engine of the solid volumetric true 3D display can project a sequence of slices of a 2D image to corresponding display at a set of liquid shutters (LC) locating at different depth. A single DLP optical engine developed for a solid volumetric true 3D display consists of a lamp, reflector, color wheel, hollow integrator, relays, DMD, and projection lens. The simulation results show that the optical engine designed for single DLP volumetric true 3D display satisfies the requirements.

  • Generally mathematics is regarded as a subtle subject to grasp their true meaning. And teacher's personal conceptions of mathematics influence greatly on the teaching and learning of mathematics. More over often teachers confess their difficulties in explaining the true nature of mathematics. In this paper, applying the theory of epistemology, we tried to search factors that must be counted important when trying to understand the true nature of mathematics. As results, we identified five characteristics of mathematical knowledge such as logical reasoning, abstractive concept, mathematical representation, systematical structure, and axiomatic validation. Next, we tried to investigate math education major students' conception of mathematics using these items. To proceed this research we asked 51 students from three Universities to answer their opinion on 'What do you think is mathematics?'. Analysing their answers in the light of the above five items, we got the following facts. 1. Only 38% of the students regarded mathematics as one of the five items, which can be considered to reveal students' low concern about the basic nature of mathematics. 2. The status of students' responses to the question were greatly different among the three Universities. This shows that mathematics professors need to lead students to have concern about the true nature of mathematics.

  • I have discussed some problems of distortion in reading education. I think we must give careful consideration to the true meaning of reading to overcome the matter. From the position of the readers I have looked into the true meaning or reading and cases of reading programs. I presented the directions for a new reading program.

  • There are some problems in the introduction of proof in middle school mathematics. Among the problems, one is the use of postulates and the another is the methods of proof how to connect a statement with others. The first case has been treated mainly in this note. Since proof means to state the reason logically why the statement is true on the basis of others which have already been known as true and basic properties, in order to prove logically, it is necessary to take the basic properties and the statement known already as true. But the students don't know well what are the basic properties and the statement known already as true for proving. No use of the term postulation(or axiom) cause the confusion to distinguish postulation and theorem. So they don't know which statements are accepted without proof or not accepted without proof, To solve this problems, it is necessary to use the term postulate in middle school mathematics. In middle school mathematics, we present same model of the introduction of proof which are used the postulates needed for the proof.

  • The education for the disables has been eliminated till now, thus, it is very important that we take them as our real citizens and help them to improve their social standings and extend their chances for occupations. It's true that admissions into a university for the disabled have been promoted, but it's also true that their droppings out of college because of physical environments have been frequently found. Without data on the universal education surroundings and full understanding on the handicapped, making up the week points in the current surroundings is not useful for them in essence. This study is on the evaluating the korea national college of rehabilitation & welfare, set up for the disabled, by the universal design standards and analyzing their satisfaction with the education surroundings, in addition to that, improving on methods of universal education surroundings.

  • There has been increasing interest in recent years in the pedagogical importance of counter-examples that focuses on pedagogical perspectives. But there is no research that undergraduate students' generating counter-examples and proposing the true statements. This study analyze 6 undergraduate students' response to interview tasks and the process of their generating counter-examples and proposing true statements. The results of interviews are that the more undergraduate students generate various counter-examples, the more valid they propose true statements. If undergraduate students have invalid understanding of logical implication and generate only one counter-example, they would not propose true statements that modify the given statement, preserving the antecedent. In pre-service teacher's education and school mathematics class, we need to develop materials and textbooks about counter-examples and false statements.

  • Nowadays, open education is popular in Korea. Various open education methods such as open time, open space, open curriculum, team teaching, small group learning are actively introduced into mathematics education. Current 'open education in mathematics' in Korea can be characterized as the application general education reform movement (open education movement) to mathematics education. This movement is interested in teaching methods rather than contents. In this article, I discussed with the limits and the problems of this application and argued that not the method-centered open general education reform movement but the content-centered mathematics education's own reform movement is necessary for the true mathematics education reform.

  • In this paper, we have represented the efficient way how to enumerate the optimal number-right scores to adjust the item difficulty and to improve item discrimination. To estimate the optimal number-right scores in two equivalent math-tests by linear score equating a measurement error model was applied to the true scores observed from a pair of equivalent math-tests assumed to measure same trait. The model specification for true scores which is represented by the bivariate model is a simple regression model to inference the optimal number-right scores and we assume again that the two simple regression lines of raw scores and true scores are independent each other in their error models. We enumerated the difference between mean value of $\chi$* and ${\mu}$$\_$$\chi$/ and the difference between the mean value of y*and a+b${\mu}$$\_$$\chi$/ by making an inference the estimates from 2 error variable regression model. Furthermore, so as to distinguish from the original score points, the estimated number-right scores y’$\^$*/ as the estimated regression values of true scores with the same coordinate were moved to center points that were composed of such difference values with result of such parallel score moving procedure as above mentioned. We got the asymptotically normal distribution in Figure 5 that was represented as the optimal distribution of the optimal number-right scores so that we could decide the optimal proportion of number-right score in each item. Also by assumption that equivalence of two tests is closely connected to unidimensionality of a student’s ability. we introduce new definition of trait score to evaluate such ability in each item. In this study there are much limitations in getting the real true scores and in analyzing data of the bivariate error model. However, even with these limitations we believe that this study indicates that the estimation of optimal number right scores by using this enumeration procedure could be easily achieved.
