주거지역에서 가로조명에 의한 침입광발생 분석 (A Field Investigation on Light Trespass of Residential Buildings by Street Lighting)

  • Spill light by street lighting is a kind of light pollution creating cozy night atmosphere, interfere visual private and cause insomnia at night. This study was to survey light trespass of the windows in residential buildings. According to outdoor lighting control guidance in Seoul, three different areas were selected to investigate the trespass light to windows. The results were as follows: 37% of the buildings of 386 buildings were influenced by street lighting, and 47% of windows were occurred light trespass. Therefore, the street lighting affected light trespass at night in survey area. The main reasons of light trespass were luminaire type, luminaire pole height, and street width. For protecting the light trespass to windows, it is necessary to non-cutoff fixture to full cutoff fixture by the street width.

조명시뮬레이션 프로그램(RELUX)을 이용한 도로조명의 공간적 배치에 따른 침입광 영향 특성 연구 (Research on the Characteristics of the Light Trespass using by RELUX Program According to the Spatial Position of the Road Lightings in Residential Area Near Road)

  • The road lightings have made our living environment safe and active, since it was first installed in 1900 in Korea. As the industry developed, various kind of road lightings have been installed in an outdoor area. But the spilt light from the road lightings have caused health problem like the sleeplessness, the depression, the failure to thrive and the nearsightedness to children. The light trespass caused by road lightings vary with the height of road lightings, the distance from road lightings to the window and the BUG rating of road lightings. In this paper, we analyze the effect on the light trespass by the spatial installation position of road lightings using by RELUX program. And we derive the characteristics of the light trespass according to the spatial installation position of the road lightings in residential area near road.

상용 조명해석 프로그램(Relux)을 이용한 가로등 주택침입광 예측값과 실측값 비교 (The comparison between measurement and prediction values for the vertical illuminances by relux program in the survey region)

  • 빛공해의 주택 침입광은 현장에서 여러 환경 요인에 의해 정확한 평가가 쉽지 않다. 그래서, 현장에서의 측정 어려움을 대신하여 빛공해의 영향을 파악하기 위하여 시뮬레이션 프로그램(Relux 등)을 이용하여 분석하였다. 그러나, 침입광에 대한 실제 측정값과 시뮬레이션을 통한 예측값은 여전히 차이점이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는, 옥외조명에 대한 침입광을 조사하기 위하여 서울, 인천 등 측정지점을 선정하였다. 조도 측정은 주택창면 중 연직면 조도가 높을 것으로 예상되는 창문 밖 창면 2지점 이상의 측정지점을 선정하여 측정하였다. Relux 프로그램을 이용하여 예측된 값 중 최대값을 실측값과 비교하였다. 그 결과, 침입광 실측값과 예측값의 오차는 -0.97~0.65 lx(최대값[2.08lx]과 최소값[-7.70lx] 제외) 조사되어졌다. 주택창면을 기준으로 도로조명의 설치위치 높이(H), 거리(L), 너비(W)가 가까이 위치될수록 침입광은 높아짐을 알 수 있었다. 상용조명해석 프로그램(Relux)을 사용하여 예측값을 측정하는데 있어서 주변 환경 요인과 측정자의 오차 등으로 인해 실측값과 다소 오차가 발생하였다. 본 연구에서는 측정수가 많지 않아 차후 연구에서 좀 더 많은 데이터를 이용하여 분석할 필요가 있다.

MLO 옥외조명 설치지침의 국내 적용성 연구 (The Study of domestic application for the Guideline of Model Outdoor Lighting Ordinance)

  • The outdoor lighting is provided for a variety of purposes, for work or recreation, for safety or security, for amenity and for advertising or display. But the effects of lighting on the natural environment can be difficult to quantify. At present, in many countries, various policies to manage the light trespass from outdoor light have been planned. For example, Model Lighting Ordinance(MLO) will allow communities to drastically reduce light pollution and glare and lower excessive light levels. The recommended practices of the IES can be met using readily available, reasonably priced lighting equipment. So, it this paper, we analyze the effect of road lighting on light trespass using by RELUX program. And then we consider the possibility of practical application of BUG rating in Korea.

조명 시뮬레이션을 이용한 설치 환경별 차광판 선정에 관한 연구 (A study on selecting of Light Cutoff Panel depending on the installation condition using the lighting simulation)

  • 도로조명 중 누출광을 고려하지 않은 보안등이 아직도 많이 사용되어 주거지 침입광이 발생되고 있다. 이러한 도로조명의 침입광 저감을 위해 차광판이 설치되고 있지만, 효과가 미미하거나 미적 요소 및 안전성에 문제가 있다. 본 연구에서는 침입광 효율적인 저감을 위해 차광판 구조별 저감 특성을 연구하였으며, 그 방법으로 조명시뮬레이션 프로그램인 Relux 활용하였다. 또한 시뮬레이션의 값의 정확성을 알기 위해 실제 측정값과 검증하였다. 그 결과 (상)도색 글로브를 제외한 모든 차광판에서 후사광 저감 효과가 뛰어났으며, 도장형 차광판의 경우 전사광도 줄어들어 글레어 저감도 효율 적인 것으로 확인되었다. (상)도색 글로브는 위쪽으로 가는 빛을 아래로 반사시켜 후사광 전사광 모두 증가하였지만, 스카이 글로우(Sky glow) 저감에 효율적인 차광판으로 확인되었다. 시뮬레이션 값과 실측값은 90 %의 일치률을 보였다.

후사광 제어를 위한 차광판 개발에 관한 연구 : 50W 급 비정렬 LED 조명기구를 중심으로 (A Study of Shielding Plate Development for Backlight Control : With a Main Focus on 50W Misaligned LED Luminaires)

  • Recently, damages resulting from light trespass that affects the human body (sleep) as one of light pollution control elements of outdoor Luminaires equipment are leading to continuous civil complaints and disputes and this is gradually expanding into a social problem. Accordingly, this study considers the need to develop a shielding plate in consideration of light distribution performance as an efficient measure to cope with damages from light trespass. Therefore, this study developed a shielding plate for LED Luminaires with a fine view that maximally inhibited light toward the backlight area compared to existing shielding plates and verified its performance.

차광판 표면 처리 방법에 따른 전사광 변화에 관한 연구 (Study on a Forward Light Changes According to the Surface Treatment of Light Cutoff Panel)

  • Since the "Light Pollution Prevention Act" was executed, the installation of the light cutoff panel to the security lightings which caused light trespass has been increased in the local government. The light cutoff panel is effective in reducing the light trespass in term of the cost-benefit. Because the installation of the light cutoff panel is inexpensive than the change of the security lighting. But the reflected light from the surface of the light cutoff panel has been regarded as another light pollution problem to solve. Therefore, we try to improve light cutoff panel by changing the light reflectivity characteristic of the surface of the light cutoff panel. First, we laminated the surface of light cutoff panel by black powder to reduce the light reflectivity of the light cutoff panel. After the black powder lamination, the light reflectivity on the light cutoff panel improved from 85% to 5%. And we compared reflected light caused by black powder laminated light cutoff panel with the one of no surface treatment cutoff panel. The vertical illuminance was measured at 3, 6, 9m in front of the security lighting and 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18m in back of the security lighting to evaluate the reflected light. And the measurement height was determined of 1.5m considering the height of the 1th floor of an apartment house. In this study, we found that the reflected light from the light cutoff panel can be reduced about 90% by the black powder lamination method. The results derived from this study will be helpful to develope the various kind of light cutoff panel which minimize the adverse effect like reflected light of light cutoff panel.

중공식 FRP쏘일네일링 시스템의 적용성 평가 (An Estimation on the Applicability of Hollow FRP Soil Nailing System)

  • Soil nailing is a reinforcement method used for stabilizing excavated wall or slope. Due to its many advantages such as ease of construction and economical efficiency, use of soil nailing is increased. However, the soil nail can't trespass on the neighbor private land, which pays rent for use. For this reason, removable soil nailing system was developed. However, the removal rate of this system is just about $50\sim70%$. To solve this, the Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) soil nailing system, which does not need to be removed and allows for the trespass on the private land, is developed. In this paper, through theoretical and experimental studies in laboratory and field, we evaluate the stability and behavior characteristics of the FRP nail system. Besides, numerical analyses using FLAC2D were performed for various soil conditions, where the simulations for pullout tests were carried out. As a result, compared with the conventional removable soil nailing system, the FRP soil nailing systems show similar behavior characteristics.

  • 증강현실(AR) 게임 유행과 함께, 게임 유저들이 게임 중 지역 사회에 각종 피해를 발생키고, 이에 대해 게임 회사 책임을 묻는 새로운 유형의 민사 분쟁이 발생하고 있다. 이 같은 분쟁은 게임을 하지 않는 제3자들에게도 피해를 끼친 점에서 기존 게임 상 분쟁과 다르다. 본 글은 해외 분쟁 사례들을 살펴보고, 무단침입, 생활방해, 부당이득과 같은 피해 유형, 관련 국내외법과 판례들을 분석한다. 정리 결과, AR 게임 피해 사실만으로는 게임 회사에 법적 규제나 손해배상을 가하기 힘들다. 사전적 규제는 헌법상 과잉금지 원칙 위반 여부, 사후적 규제는 기존 법상의 방해 유형, 게임과 피해 사이 인과 관계, 피해의 구체성과 지속성 등을 검토해 결정해야 한다.

모바일 디지털 기기로 인한 빛공해가 수면과 일주기 리듬에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Light Pollution from Mobile Digital Devices on Sleep and Circadian Rhythms)

  • Mobile digital devices are very familiar and useful devices in the daily life of modern people, and are used for various tasks such as communication, reading, writing, and playing media. As the use of mobile digital devices has become more prevalent, user time has also been increasing. In particular, the number of people who use digital devices before sleep is growing. The light pollution associated with these devices is classified into four categories: urban sky glow, glare, light trespass, and clutter. The pattern in which modern people use digital devices corresponds to light pollution caused by light trespass and clutter from light exposure to artificial light at night. The light pollution caused by digital devices can cause melatonin secretion suppression, delayed sleep onset, reduction of sleepiness before bedtime, and periodic rhythm and cognitive function disturbances. In addition, a study of children and adolescents showed there may be disturbances in the sleep-wake cycle and circadian rhythm, deterioration of sleep quality, and daytime fatigue due to light pollution caused by artificial light at night from mobile digital devices. A multi-faceted research effort is also necessary to investigate the healthy use of mobile digital devices based on research evidence and insights with an accurate evaluation of the influence of mobile digital devices as a form of light pollution.
