Pseudomonas spp.의 원형질체 생성과 재생 (The Spheroplast Formation and Regeneration of Pseudomonas spp.)

  • Pseudomonas 속에 속하는 여러균주의 원형질체 생성을 위한 최적조건과 이들의 재생에 영향을 미치는 몇 가지 요인들을 조사하였다. Pseudomonas는 lysozyme ($100{\mu}g/ml$)과 10mM EDTA를 처리하였을 때 99.0%에서 99.9%까지 원형침체로 천환 되었으며, 이때 사용한 완충액의 최적 pH는 8.0이였고 효소처리는 상온에서 진탕하지 않고 처리하였을 때가 비교적 균주간에 차이가 없이 효과적으로 원형질체가 생성되었다. $MgCl_{2}$ 그러고 Streptomycin수용액이 윈형 질체의 안정성을 높였고, 원형질체의 생성에는 $Mg^+\;and\;Na^+$ 이온이 효과적으로 작용하였다. 원형질체의 재생은 Rich Regeneration Medium배지에 20mM $MgCl_{2}$를 첨가하였을 때 원형질체의 재생율이 28배까지 증가하였다. 원형질체의 생성과 그것을 희석하는데 사용한 완충액에 1% Bovine Serum Albumlne를 첨가한 경우 재생율이 10배 가까이 증가되었고, 또한 완충액에 1% BSA를 첨가하고 재생배지에 0.5% 제라틴을 첨가했을 때에는 14배까지 재생율이 증가되어다.

몇 가지 처리가 파프리카 과실의 저온장해에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Several Treatments on Chilling Injury of Paprika Fruits during Low Temperature Storage)

  • 본 연구는 UVc 처리, 열수처리와 고 $CO_2$ 처리가 저온저장으로 인해 발생하는 저온장해 현상에 미치는 영향을 비교하고, 소량으로 다른 작물과 혼합 선적할 때 유지되는 $5^{\circ}C$ 이하의 저장 유통에 적용할 수 있는지 알아보기 위해 수행하였다. 각각의 처리 후 20일간 저온저장 후 상온에 5일간 저장하였다. 생체중은 MAP 조건이었던 고 $CO_2$ 처리구를 제외한 나머지 처리구에서 상온 저장후 급격히 감소하였으며, 에틸렌은 주기적으로 3% 내외의 수치를 보였다. 고 $CO_2$ 처리구는 저장 종료일인 25일에는 약 33%의 고 $CO_2$ 농도를 나타냈다. 저장 최종일에 측정한 경도는 통계적 유의성은 없었으나, 저온장해 현상이 완화되었던 열수처리에서 높았다. 저온장해 정도의 지표가 되는 전해질 용출량은 저온장해 발생온도인 $4^{\circ}C$에서는 고 $CO_2$ 처리구에서 가장 높았으며, 열수처리와 UVc처리구에서 가장 낮았는데, 비저온장해 대조구($7^{\circ}C$)와 유사한 수준이었다. 또한 저장최종일에 측정한 호흡률에서는 열수처리가 가장 낮아 저온장해가 완화되었음을 알 수 있었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 저온장해 완화 효과를 보인 열수처리와 UVc 처리는 소량으로 다른 작물과 혼합 선적할 때 유지되는 $5^{\circ}C$ 이하의 저장유통에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

  • 최근 질병 치료과정에서 의료서비스에 대한 인식이 부각되면서 의료기관의 서비스 공간과 대기시간에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 특히 종합병원 이용 시 방문자의 장시간 대기가 불가피하고, 이것은 환자에게 심리적 불안 및 부정적 감정으로 다가 올 것이다. 이는 의료소비자들의 불만을 가중시키고, 병원의 재방문 가능성을 낮추는 요인으로 작용하기 때문에 병원의 마케팅 및 이미지 제고를 위해서 대기시간의 연구가 절실한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 의료서비스과정에서 발생하는 대기시간의 변수인 대기 환경과 대기 환자의 태도가 체감 대기 시간에 어떠한 영향을 주는가를 알아보고 병원 계획의 대안을 제시한 것을 연구목적으로 한다.

  • Korea is entered to the aging society with 21C. Also it is forecast we will enter in aging society quickly. for 5 years there are some growth in facility at least 2~3 times but our society needs more. But this quantitative growth is worried about less quality. That's why we needs more research about the facility for an geriatrics hospital. The people who suffered from senile disease needs more treatment days in the ward of geriatric hospital. so we have to consider about better condition in ward of geriatrics than in general. Better environment for eldery is included not only the ward space but also the corridor and the dayroom. This study which it performed to improve their habitability is researched on public space. and this reserch deal with general feature against a public space in the ward of geriatric, and investigate 2 facility for divede the the general feature of the space. and this investigate is recorded according to behavior of patients. It can find us which factor of the space is prefered by them.

어린이전문병원 계획을 위한 간호사의 요구에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Nurses Need for the Planning in Children's Hospital)

  • Nurses in a children's hospital have to meet a special condition with their younger patients who need continuous supervision and cares. The planning of the ward where the nurse as well as the patient and his/her caregivers stay all day long should cover all the users need. This study focused on the nurse's need for the ward in children's hospital. The nurse stay longer than any users in hospital and their treatment have to be based on deep understanding of their patients. The survey research followed the literature review on the children's hospital and the nurses' task and behavior. 119 nurses answered the structural questionnaire and their answers were analyzed using the statistical process such as basic descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and actor analysis. Results and conclusions are as follows. (1) The subjects least satisfied with the accessibility for the children and the nature-and child-friendly design features among physical environment design factors of the hospital. (2) The Subject regarded the patients' room to a private place of the patients and their caregivers not to the work places. (3) The design factors of the nursing station were classified into four: the functionality-, the privacy-, the supervision-and the restfulness-factor. The functionality and supervision factor were highly required as a workplace, the privacy factor between the patients, their caregivers and subject were also represented high score, but the restfulness factor were least required.

  • Carbolic Acid which is called phenol is one of the important starting and/or intermediate materials in various industrial processes. However, its excessive release into environment poses a threat to living organisms, as it is a highly carcinogens and hazardous pollutant even at the very low concentration. Thus removal of phenol from polluted environments is very crucial for sustainable remediation process. We developed a low cost adsorption method for separating phenol from a model aqueous solution. The phenol adsorption was studied using two adsorbents i.e., Amber lite XAD-16 and Amber lite XAD-7 HP with a constant amount of resin 0.1 g at varying aqueous phenol concentrations ($50-200mgL^{-1}$) at room temperature. We compared the efficacy of two phenol adsorbents for removing higher phenol concentrations from the media. We investigated equilibrium and kinetics studies of phenol adsorption employing Freundlich, Temkin and Langmuir isotherms. Amberlite XAD-16 performed better than Amberlite XAD-7 HP in terms of phenol removal efficiency that amounted to 95.52%. Pseudo second order model was highly fitted for both of the adsorption systems. The coefficient of determination ($R^2$) with Langmuir isotherm was found to be 0.98 for Amberlite XAD-7 HP. However, Freundlich isotherm showed $R^2$ value of 0.95 for Amberlite XAD-16, indicating that both isotherms could be described for the isotherms on XAD-7 HP and Amberlite XAD-16, respectively.

Enhancement of thermoelectric properties of MBE grown un-doped ZnO by thermal annealing

  • In this paper, we have reported an enhancement in thermoelectric properties of un-doped zinc oxide (ZnO) grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) on silicon (001) substrate by annealing treatment. The grown ZnO thin films were annealed in oxygen environment at $500^{\circ}C-800^{\circ}C$, keeping a step of $100^{\circ}C$ for one hour. Room temperature Seekbeck measurements showed that Seebeck coefficient and power factor increased from 222 to $510{\mu}V/K$ and $8.8{\times}10^{-6}$ to $2.6{\times}10^{-4}Wm^{-1}K^{-2}$ as annealing temperature increased from 500 to $800^{\circ}C$ respectively. This observation was related with the improvement of crystal structure of grown films with annealing temperature. X-ray diffraction (XRD) results demonstrated that full width half maximum (FWHM) of ZnO (002) plane decreased and crystalline size increased as the annealing temperature increased. Photoluminescence study revealed that the intensity of band edge emission increased and defect emission decreased as annealing temperature increased because the density of oxygen vacancy related donor defects decreased with annealing temperature. This argument was further justified by the Hall measurements which showed a decreasing trend of carrier concentration with annealing temperature.

Effects of an Algorithm-based Education Program on Nursing Care for Children with Epilepsy by Hospital Nurses

  • Purpose: Epilepsy is the most common neurological disorder in childhood. Hospital nurses, who are the first to recognize seizures in epilepsy patients in the ward environment, possess expertise related to epilepsy and play a central role in epilepsy management. The purpose of this study was to develop an algorithm-based education program and to improve nurses' knowledge and self-efficacy related to providing nursing care to children with epilepsy. Methods: The education program consisted of lectures on the definition, cause, classification, diagnosis, treatment, and nursing of epilepsy based on a booklet, as well as practice using an algorithm for nursing interventions when a child experiences a seizure. Twenty-seven nurses working at pediatric neurological wards and a pediatric emergency room participated in the education program. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the paired t-test. Results: Nurses' knowledge and self-efficacy showed a statistically significant improvement after participation in the education program on nursing care for children with epilepsy. Conclusion: The application of this education program for hospital setting is expected to improve nurses' capability to care for children with epilepsy, thereby contributing to a higher quality of nursing.

Characteristics for the growth and yield of Pleurotus ostreatus by air velocity

  • This study was carried out to investigate optimum wind velocity for growth of Pleurotus ostreatus. In the chamber experiments, the divergence of pileus was $63^{\circ}$ in 0.3m/s, and it showed the tendency that the more the air velocity was increased, the more the divergence became small. And the ratio of commercial yields was 96% in the air velocity of 0.3m/s. In the cultivation room experiments, the divergence of pileus was $64^{\circ}$ in 0.3m/s, and it was the tendency that the more the air velocity was fast, the more the divergence became larger. And the commercial yields was similar to the trend of the chamber experiment as 94.8% in 0.3m/s, and the quality characteristics of the fruit-body showed the uniform quality in comparison with other treatment because the standard deviation of the size of the pileus, etc. was the lowest in 0.3m/s like the chamber experiment.

  • 최근의 경제성장과 아울러 우리의 주거 공간이 보다 더 확장되어 가는 추세에 있다. 따라서 PAC (PACKAGE AIR CONDITIONER) 가 종래에는 주로 업소 설치용으로 판매되었으나 최근에는 하절기 상품으로써 생활수준의 향상과 함께 업소용에서 가정용으로 옮겨가는 상태에 있다고 볼 수 있다. PAC는 최근의 기후 온난화 현상에도 영향을 받아 날로 그 수요가 늘어나고 있으며 필수품 화되어 가는 추세에 있다. 본 연구는 국내에 대표적인 가전 업체인 (주)금성사에서 추진 개발되었던 PAC의 제품개발과 DESIGN PROCESS에 대한 사례 연구로서 기업에서의 제품개발과 디자인이 어떠한 연구와 과정을 통해 이루어지는가에 대해 고찰에 보았으며 이러한 연구과정을 토대로 조형화(가사 화) 시키는데 역점을 두었다. 예컨대 우선 하절기 상품인 만큼 기후에 따른 한국인의 체질과 그 특수성을 알아보았으며 고객 환경으로써 PAC의 표적고객을 설정하여 그 수요를 예측해 보았다. 고객 환경으로써 PAC의 표적고객을 설정하여 그 수요를 예측해 보았다. 그리고 PAC와 직접적인 관계가 있는 주거환경으로써 APT 거주지의 거실에서의 행위를 분석하였으며 아울러 거실의 전반적인 INTERIOR IMAGE를 분석하여 PAC의 조형화 작업에 일조를 하였다. 실질적인 조형화 작업에 있어서는 DESIGN CONCEPT을 고객환경, 주거환경, 제품 환경으로 나누어 다음과 같이 추진하였다. 첫째. 성 SPACE화로써 설치공간의 극소화 및 시각적 개방 감을 유도하는 NEW SHAPE(ROUND SLIM)을 구현하였고 둘째. INTERIOR화로써 거실의 분위기와 조화되는 제품의 고급 감을 표출하였다. 셋째. HIGH-TOUCH화로 사용자의 감성을 자극하는 SHAPE 및 표면 처리에 역점을 두었고 넷째로, HI-QUALITY화로써 전자제품에서 보여지는 TECHNOLOGY IMAGE의 과감한 도입적용을 시도하였다.
