Investigation of the surface treatment method for silent pavement in tunnels (터널 내 주행소음 저감을 위한 포장표면처리공법에 관한 조사연구)

  • The tunnels that longer than 2km which have been recently constructed have serious noise problems resulting from the friction of vehicle wheels and pavement. In special, concrete pavement inside tunnels with a closed characteristic increases discomfort due to the traffic noise and the dust of pavement pollutes the air in tunnels. Therefore, it is urgent that we find out ways to cope with. This study purported to reduce noise inside tunnels covers the investigation of various pavement surface treatment methods adapted in developed countries, the analysis of the effect in noise reduction and construction methods and cases. The surface treatment method for silent pavement in tunnels reduced noise to 5dB (A)~10dB (A). Aggregate treatment method is evaluated the most appropriate method in that, related with other surface treatment method, it reduces noise and improves skid resistance. It is necessary for us to introduce equipments and design and rearrange of specification for the development of the silent pavement method in Korea.

A Research on Mothers' Satisfaction with Ha-Taedok Treatment to Their Children (하태독법을 시행 받은 아동의 어머니를 대상으로 한 만족도 조사)

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate effectiveness of the Ha-Taedok treatment and discuss how to improve the Ha-Taedok method Methods We analyzed the medical records of 20 children who were treated by Ha-Taedok method. 20 questionnaires were administered to the mothers of those children and statistically analyzed by using PASW Statistics 18. Results The children who were treated by Ha-Taedok method weighed at birth ranged from a minimum of 2.7 kg to a maximum of 3.86 kg, and the children's weight after treated by Ha-Taedok method were varied from a minimum of 2.8 kg to a maximum of 4.7 kg. The Ha-Taedok treatment was initiated to children from 3 to 23 days after their birth. 15 out of 20 mothers of the children treated by the Ha-Taedok method were satisfied with Ha-Taedok method (75%). All of them answered that they were willing to repeat the treatment to their children again or recommend the treatment to others. 10 out of 20 mothers told that the main factor/point for improvement of Ha-Taedok method was publicity. Conclusions If the effectiveness of Ha-Taedok method is scientifically proven and recommended, the scope of Ha-Taedok method for newborn infants will be widely used.

  • Purpose of this research is deducing optimum pretreatment method of electric arc furnace slag from comparing and investigating the properties of electric arc furnace slag and electric arc furnace slag concrete by existing pretreatment method and surface pretreatment method being used by this research. Besides, as the surface pretreatment method, the method of naturally drying for 6 hours after impregnating with an inorganic type silica solution for 1 day was used. From the results, comparing the hot water treatment method, surface treatment method being used by this research is more effective. Therefore, it is judged that surface treatment method is more effective in the decrease of expansibility of electric arc furnace slag and practical use.

  • Consider a situation that a specific treatment is regarded as the best in comparing several treatments. In this case, a natural procedure to decide the best treatment is to choose the specific one which is proved to be better than each one of the others. This study proposes a method for detecting the best by comparing two treatments from the above point of view. Since this method deals with comparing only two treatments, it is very simple to use and expected to be widely applicable.

  • Finite element program(ANSYS) estimated thermal deformation quantity in high frequency heat treatment process of a machine tool fred drive system slideway and apply deformation quantity in roughing process. Having processed the heat treatment minimizing methods of the quantity of deformation heat treatment process. Having done heat treatment with high frequency after taper processing with considering the existed heat treatment generating the quantity of deformation, existed quantity of deformation can be reduced down to 80%, consequently productivity and material saving can be achieved. When high frequency heat treatment finite element method estimated deformation quantity at difference temperature and time, it is progress at cost don and saved time.

  • In this work, molybdenum oxide films were fabricated by heat-treatment method. Fundamental surface characteristics of molybdenum oxide films were investigated using XRD and Raman spectroscopy. From the results, the optimum MoOx films could be obtained under the conditions of thermal treatment temperature of $550^{\circ}C$, oxidation time of 30 minutes and oxygen flow rate of 250sccm. The thermal treatment method offers a simple and effective route for the synthesis of uniform $MoO_3$ films.

  • The plasma processing technologies of thin film deposition and surface treatment technique have been applied to many industrial fields. This study is purposed Large-area uniformity and surface treatment on the stainless substrate. We treat surface of stainless by $CF_4$ plasma. $CF_4$ plasma is generated by using SPM(Scanning plasma method)which is kind a of CVD. Generally, SPM has been used for uniform surface treatment using a crossed electromagnetic field. The optimum discharge condition has been studied for the gas pressure, the magnetic flux density and the distance between substrate and electrodes. In result, contact angle is increased by surface treatment using $CF_4$ Plasma. Therefore we expect that SPM to control contact angle is applied to many industries.

  • Although precise temperature control in the heat treatment process is a key factor in process reliability, there are many cases where there is no separate heat source control optimization system in the field. To solve this problem, the program monitors the temperature data according to the heat source change through sensor communication in a recursive method based on multiple variables that affect the process, and the target heat source value and the actual heat treatment heat source to match the internal air temperature and material temperature. A control optimization system was constructed. Through this study, the error rate between the target temperature and the atmosphere (material surface) temperature of around 10.7% with the existing heat source control method was improved to an improved result of around 0.1% using a process optimization algorithm and system.

  • Development on the mechanical properties of steel sheet for the automobile body panel is very important in the BAF(Batch annealing furnace) annealing process. Because of the heat treatment method in the BAF, mechanical properties was decided on the heat treatment method of the coil. So, we tested on the development of mechanical properties according to heat treatment method at the annealing furnace using the Ax atmospheric gas and the HNx atmospheric gas. As a result of several investigations. We confirmed the following characteristics ; mechanical properties was changed under the influence of the annealing cycle, the heat treatment method and the atmospheric gas. And, elongation in the HNx BAF was better than the Ax BAF. Finally, most important thing in the BAF is using proper annealing cycle in order to get a good quality.

Estimation of Traffic Accident Effectiveness of Zig-zag Marking Using a Comparison Group Method (C-G Method를 이용한 지그재그 노면표시의 교통사고 감소효과 분석)

  • PURPOSES : This research is to evaluate the effects of zig-zag marking. METHODS : Based on the literature review, This research adopt Comparison Group method which was developed by Hauer. RESULTS : The findings are as follows. Effectiveness of treatment at all site 1.06, intersection 0.92, median bus lane 1.93, school zone 0.50, below 6-lane 0.48, above 6-lane 1.19, cat vs person 0.57, car vs car 1.36, car only 1.29. CONCLUSIONS : Though the analysis, it was founded that zig-zag marking on the small scale road(below 6-lane) and school zone contribute to reduce traffic accidents(effectiveness of the treatment : 0.50, 0.48). But the accidents at large scale road and median bus lane where installed zig-zag marking demonstrated negative result.(effectiveness of the treatment indicates exceed 1.0).
