생체면역알고리즘을 이용한 크레인의 자율주행 제어에 관한 연구 (An Autonomous Traveling Control of Crane Using Humoral Immune Algorithm)

  • While the crane system operate in port, one of main objective is to transport containers to the goal position as soon as possible. Because this is one of the biggest problem in terms of productivity of port, the container crane is operated by an expert operator until now. However recently an automatic control system with high performance is required to improve the performance of the crane system and to make high productivity. Therefore we developed an optimal controller based on Humoral Immune Algorithm with PID controller. The proposed system has a real time structure and can improve the performance such as anti-sway problem. Some computer simulations are implemented to assess the characteristics of the proposed controller.

교통시스템 정보화와 철도중심의 연계교통정보시스템 (Intelligent Transportation Systems and Intermodal Transportation Information System for Railroad)

  • The Korean high speed railroad is scheduled to open in 2004. For railroad-based integrated transfer system, it is essential to develop the intermodal information system for easy transfer to other travel modes. The understanding of mode choices by KTX passengers is crucial for the intermodal transportation planning. Recent development of Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) made it possible for railroad users to access the transportation information in a cabin or waiting areas at the station. Development of intermodal transportation information system will influence the relative demand for traveling by train from competing other transportation modes. The research is focused on a general overview of the ITS with an emphasis on intermodal transportation information system.

  • In this paper, we proposed a two-stage control of the container crane. The first stage control is time-optimal control for the purpose of fast trolley traveling. With suitable trolley velocity patterns, the sway which is generated during trolley moving is minimized. At the second stage control feedback control law is investigated for the quick suppression of residual vibration after the trolley motion. For more practical system, the container crane system is modeled as a partial differential equation (PDE) system with flexible cable. The dynamics of the cable is derived as a moving system with tension caused by payload using Hamilton's principle for the systems. A control law based upon the Lyapunov's method is derived. It is revealed that a time-varying control force and a suitable passive damping at the actuator can successfully suppress the transverse vibrations.

Parallel Genetic Algorithm based on a Multiprocessor System FIN and Its Application to a Classifier Machine

  • Genetic Algorithm(GA) is a method of approaching optimization problems by modeling and simulating the biological evolution. GA needs large time-consuming, so ti had better do on a parallel computer architecture. Our proposed system has a VLSI-oriented interconnection network, which is constructed from a viewpoint of fractal geometry, so that self-similarity is considered in its configuration. The approach to Parallel Genetic Algorithm(PGA) on our proposed system is explained, and then, we construct the classifier system such that the set of samples is classified into weveral classes based on the features of each sample. In the process of designing the classifier system, We have applied PGA to the Traveling Salesman Problem and classified the sample set in the Euclidean space into several categories with a measure of the distance.

  • SRMD system which protects MBT from the threats in a short range is composed of 2 radars, 2 IRTs 1 CCU and 2 countermeasures. To analyze the performance of this system, there is a need to make the model of MBT on which this system is loaded. In this paper, a method of MBT movement modeling is proposed to fulfill the above need. The methods of the coordinate system transformation among the components and the modeling of a hull's traveling and a turret's turning are proposed. The method of the modeling of a pose variation caused by the vibrations is proposed and the results of the modeling are presented.

  • A continuous and reliable electrical energy supply is the objective of any power system operation. A transmission line is the part of the power system where faults are most likely to happen. This paper describes the use of wavelet transform for analyzing power system fault transients in order to determine the fault location. Synchronized sampling was made possible by precise time receivers based on GPS time reference, and the sampled data were analyzed using wavelet transform. This paper describes a fault location monitoring system and fault locating algorithm with GPS, DSP processor, and data acquisition board, and presents some experimental results and error analysis.

  • A wireless control system was designed and constructed to control the rice transplanter of walking type with remote control. VHF(very high freqency) was sent from wireless transmitter to wireless reciever by usig 6 channels to control main clutch, steering clutch, plant lever and throttle lever within 200 meter distance between remote control and rice transplanter. The rice transplanter with wireless control system showed good performance for accuracy of travel speed, traveling mobility and turning diameter in the concrete, paddy and dry field. It is concluded that the developed wireless control system could be adapted to control not only conventional rice transplanters but also most of the agricultural machine by changing some parts of the control system.

22.9kV 배전선로 절연전선의 부식 검출 시스템 개발에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Corrosion Detecting System for 22.9 kV Distribution Power Line Insulation Cable)

  • A corrosion detecting system for 22.9 kV distribution power line insulation cable, which can travel autonomously along the live line, is proposed. Eddy current test method is employed to detect the corrosion, and the system developed here is capable of detecting internal corrosion of a ACSR-OC. Somewhat details of the electrical and mechanical mechanism of the system and traveling algorithm are introduced. Experimental results applied to the sample cables having artificial corrosion and the operating distribution lines are provided. From the result, we confirmed that the system is useful for detecting internal corrosion of a ACSR, and is expected to be a new non-destructive testing equipment in the area of diagnosis for the distribution power line.

  • The analysis of a mechanical system, body traveling along the elastic structure, has been a topic of interest. The establishment of analytical method for the development and control of this system is required in the fields of many machine operations such as modern weapons and high-speed feed drive system for a machine tool. The dynamic equations are derived on the torsion of a cantilever hollow shaft induced by the spin-up of a moving mass and the displacement of the mass. Influences of design parameters such as the inertia ratio, the mass moving speed and the friction coefficient are discussed on the transient response of the system.
