PC Based Distributed Control System of AGV with Multi-Thread Method (다중 쓰레드 기법을 미용한 AGV의 PC기반 분산제어 시스템)

  • With the recent progress in flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) in industry, increasing attention has been given to Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems. An AGV is a self-powered unit for transporting materials between stations without needing to be controlled by an operator. Such a system has several sensors to recognize the external state, and it is designed to travel between stations automatically without external assistance. To manage each device automatically in real time it requires a distributed controller with a main computer as the host, as well as a number of micro-controllers. In this study, an AGV system with dual motor drive was constructed. A Pentium 4 personal computer was set up as the main host for the distributed control, and this communicated with other micro-controllers in the management of the motor. The speed of each motor was also controlled by a micro-controller.

Improvement in Stream Hydraulic Characteristics Estimation Method for Modeling Water Quality: Focusing on QualKo (수질모델링을 위한 하천수리특성 추정방법 개선: QualKo 모형을 중심으로)

  • In this study the estimation method for stream hydraulic characteristics which is served as the input data set for running QualKo water quality model is investigated. The conventional approach for estimating such hydraulic parameters is to use the data set from the last cross section in each reach. However, it is shown that in order to represent correctly flow velocity profiles or the travel time in streams, hydraulic parameters of QualKo model should be estimated with all cross section data set within the corresponding reach. In addition, the unsuitable estimation of hydraulic parameters at some reaches has influence on the water quality predictions at the corresponding reaches, and the errors of water quality predictions are propagated toward the downstream without any error attenuation.

  • 현재 국내 인구수가 약 5000만, 차량대수는 인구수의 절반가까이에 해당하는 2100만대를 넘어서고 있다. 이에 따라 국내 교통 혼잡도는 도로를 넓히고 대중교통을 장려하는 등의 노력을 기울이고 있음에도 증가하고 있다. 교통 혼잡도가 증가함에 따라, 사건 사고를 처리하는 응급차량의 이동이 수월하지 않은 편이다. 1분1초가 중요한 응급차량의 교통을 수월하게 하기 위해 고속도로에 갓길을 설치하는 등의 노력은 하고 있지만, 이것을 일반차량이 이용해도 제재수단이 없어 실효성이 부족하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 gps(네비게이션)를 이용하여 응급차량의 경로를 입력받았을 때 경로상의 차량에게 응급차량이 지나간다는 신호를 보내 사전에 응급차량이 지나갈 수 있는 도로를 확보하여 응급차량이 이동하는 시간을 단축시키는 것을 목적으로 한 시스템이다.

  • In this paper, we develop anti-sway control in proposed techniques for an ATC system. The developed algorithm is to build the optimal path of container motion and to calculate an anti-collision path for collision avoidance in its movement to the finial coordinate. Moreover, in order to show the effectiveness in this research, we compared NNP PID controller to be tuning parameters of controller using NN with 2 DOF PID controller. The experimental results for an ATC simulator show that the proposed control scheme guarantees performances, trolley position, sway angle, and settling time in NNP PID controller than other controller. As a result, the application of NNP PID controller is analyzed to have robustness about disturbance which is wind of fixed pattern in the yard. Accordingly, the proposed algorithm in this study can be readily used for industrial applications

  • A network design model has been proposed. which represents a transportation facility investment decision problem. The model takes the discrete hi-level programming form in which two types of decision makers, government and travelers, are involved. The model is characterized by its ability to address the total social costs occurring in transportation networks and to estimate the equilibrium link volumes in multi-modal networks. Travel time and volume for each link in the multi-modal network are predicted by a joint modal split/traffic assignment model. An efficient solution algorithm has been developed and an illustrative example has been presented.

Protoflight Model Development of Retroreflector Array for STSAT-2 (과학기술위성2호 레이저반사경의 준비행모델 개발)

  • STSAT-2 has an on-board satellite retroreflector array for precise orbit determination. Satellite retroreflector array reflects photon emitted from laser and uses to determine precisely the distance from ground station to satellite by the round-trip travel time of photon. The retroreflector array of protoflight model has been developed and verified through environmental tests. This paper describes the protoflight model of retroreflector array and reports environmental test results. The environmental tests of protoflight model retroreflector array were performed successfully without damage of corner cube prism occurred in engineering model development.

Effects of EGF and PAF on the Hatching and Implantation of Peri-implantation Stage Embryos

  • A fertilized oocyte can get the competence for implantation through cleavage and stage-specific gene expression. These are under the control of autonomous and exogenous regulators including physiological culture condition. Endogenous and exogenous growth factors are considered as critical regulators of cleaving embryos during travel the oviduct and uterus. In this study, an effort was made to evaluate comprehensively the quality of embryos for implantation, grown in media enriched with EGF and PAF. The study evaluated developmental rates on given time, blastulation and hatching rates, and adhesion rates. Developmental rates of blastocyst to the hatching stage were significantly high in PAF treated group compared to the control in a dose-dependent manner but not in EGF group. Implantation rates were significantly high both PAF and EGF in a dose-dependent manner. H7, a PKC inhibitor, blocked the process of hatching of the blastocysts but combined treatment of EGF and PAF enhanced the hatching and implantation of blastocsyts. Based on these results it is suggested that EGF and PAF support acquirement of implantation competence at blastocyst stage through a PKC pathway.

  • 실제 많은 차량경로결정문제(Vehicle Routing Problem: VRP)에서 차량의 이동속도는 도로의 교통량 등의 인에 의해 시간에 따라 변화하고 서비스 수량이 고객의 운영상태에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 이러한 사실에도 불구하고, 거의 대부분의 VRP 기법에서 차량속도와 서비스 수량을 확정적으로 가정하거나 평균값을 사용하는 이유는 알고리즘 적 분석의 어려움 때문인 것으로 알려져 있다. 이에 따라 확정적 VRP 기법들에 해 구해진 해는 실제 적용에서 그 유효성에 대해 심각한 이의가 제기될 수 있다. 그러나 만일 잘 알려진 정적 VRP 기법들이 확률적 상황에서도 뛰어난 성능을 보인다면, 실제 차량경로계획 상황에서 이들 확정적 기법들이 복잡하고 난해한 확률적 VRP 기법을 대신할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 확률적 환경에서 네 가지 확정적 VRP 기법들의 성능을 평가하는 계산실험 연구를 소개한다. Solomon의 다양한 실험문제를 사용하였으며, 모든 문제에서 hard 및 soft 서비스 시간대를 설정하였다. 그리고 지점간 차량이동시간과 고객들의 서비스 물량은 세 가지 확률분포로써 나타내었다. 실험결과, 특정 확정적 VRP 기법이 특정 확률적 환경에서 뛰어난 성능을 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다

A Voronoi Tabu Search Algorithm for the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (차량경로 문제에 관한 보로노이 다이어그램 기반 타부서치 알고리듬)

  • This paper focuses on the capacitated vehicle routing problem that determines the routes of vehicles in such a way that each customer must be visited exactly once by one vehicle starting and terminating at the depot while the vehicle capacity and the travel time constraints must be satisfied. The objective is to minimize the total traveling cost. Due to the complexity of the problem, we suggest a tabu search algorithm that combines the features of the existing search heuristics. In particular, our algorithm incorporates the neighborhood reduction method using the proximity information of the Voronoi diagram corresponding to each problem instance. To show the performance of the Voronoi tabu search algorithm suggested in this paper, computational experiments are done on the benchmark problems and the test results are reported.

Analysis on the Operation of a Charging Station with Battery Energy Storage System

  • Fossil oil, as the main energy of transportation, is destined to be exhausted. The electrification of transportation is a sustainable solution to the energy crisis, since electric power could be acquired from the inexhaustible sun, wind and water. Among all the problems that hinder the development of Electric Vehicle (EV) industry, charging issue might be the most prominent one. In this paper, the service process of a charging station with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is analyzed by means of $Cram{\acute{e}}r$ - Lundberg model which has been intensively utilized in ruin theory. The service quality is proposed in two dimensions: the service efficiency and the service reliability. The arrival rate and State of Charge (SOC) upon arrival are derived from 2009 National Household Travel Survey (NHTS). The simulations are performed to show how the service quality is determined by the system parameters such as the number of servers, the service rate, the initial capacity, the charge rate and the maximum waiting time. At last, the economic analysis of the system is conducted and the best combination of the system parameters are given.
