Electrical Conduction Characteristics of XLPE Film evaporated Different Metal Electrode (이종금속전극이 증착된 XLPE필름의 전기전도 특성)

  • Electrical conduction characteristics of XLPE film evaporated with different metal electrode are discussed. The relation between electrical current(I) and Voltage(V) in the M(metal)-I(XLPE)-M(metal) structure are measured in the temperature range from 25$[^{\circ}C]$ to 90[$[^{\circ}C]$ . Several kinds of metals are used as electrode, such as, Al, Ag and Cu.From the experimental results, it is conclused that the conduction mechanism at highelectric field is SCLC. The dependences of temperature and kinds of metal on the trap filled electric field level can be well explained by this theory.

  • In this paper, the samples are made by the new three-composition seed grain method, in order to obtain the low voltage varistor distributed randomly large seed grain in its bulk. The oscillation phenomena of carriers appeared from current-voltage characteristics under knee voltage is shown by the transient flow of non trapped carriers group in the trap level of intergranular layer, surface state and/or depletion layer. Current oscillation phenomena is hardly shown in the high electric field. The injected carriers from both electrodes are directly flowed from the conduction band of forward biased grain through the intergranular layer into the reverse biased grain, because the trap level in the electric field above the knee voltage is mostly filled.

The oscillation phenomena of carriers appeared from current-voltage characteristics under knee voltage is shown by the transient flow of nontrapped carriers group in the trap level of intergranular layer, surface state and/or depletion layer. In particularly, current oscillation phenomena is hardly shown in the high electric field. It is that the injected carriers from both electrodes are directly from the conduction band of forward biased ZnO grain through the intergranular layer into the reverse biased ZnO grain, because the trap level in the electric field above the knee voltage is mostly filled.

Space Charge Behavior of Oil-Impregnated Paper Insulation Aging at AC-DC Combined Voltages

  • The space charge behaviors of oil-paper insulation affect the stability and security of oil-filled converter transformers of traditional and new energies. This paper presents the results of the electrical aging of oil-impregnated paper under AC-DC combined voltages by the pulsed electro-acoustic technique. Data mining and feature extractions were performed on the influence of electrical aging on charge dynamics based on the experiment results in the first stage. Characteristic parameters such as total charge injection and apparent charge mobility were calculated. The influences of electrical aging on the trap energy distribution of an oil-paper insulation system were analyzed and discussed. Longer electrical aging time would increase the depth and energy density of charge trap, which decelerates the apparent charge mobility and increases the probability of hot electron formation. This mechanism would accelerate damage to the cellulose and the formation of discharge channels, enhance the acceleration of the electric field distortion, and shorten insulation lifetime under AC-DC combined voltages.
