영구자석 여자 횡축형 선형 전동기(TFLM)를 이용한 가진기 제어 (A Control of Vibrator Using PM Excited Transverse Flux Linear Motor)

  • 본 논문은 영구자석 여자 횡축형 선형 전동기(TFLM)를 이용한 가진기 제어 시스템을 구현하고자 한다. 제안된 가진기는 대상 물체에 정격 전류에서 최대 700[N]의 가진력과 넓은 변위 및 주파수 운전 범위를 갖는 진동운동을 제공한다. 또한 가진기에 적용된 TFLM은 구조적으로 높은 추력비(전동기 추력/전동기 중량=N/Kg)를 가지므로 전체 시스템의 부피가 감소된다. 따라서 기존의 유압식 가진기를 제안한 가진기로 대체할 경우 효율 및 유지, 관리면에서 많은 장점이 있다. 가진 제어를 위한 제어기의 입력은 가진 주파수와 변위이며 제어량은 이동자의 순시 위치와 속도이고 출력은 가진기에 인가되는 전류이다. 이 전류는 전압형 PWM 컨버터로 제어된다 우선 가진기 제어시스템의 제어 알고리즘과 운전 특성을 고찰하고 해석하기 위해 동적 시뮬레이션을 수행한 후 DSP 제어기와 IGBT PWM 컨버터를 구현하여 실제 실험 결과와 비친, 검토하였다.

  • In this paper, with loosely coupled transformer Relies-parallel resonant type DC/DC converter is analyzed and adopted to the power source of a TFLM(Transverse Flux Linear Motor). To get more efficient operating mode of the series-parallel resonant type DC/DC converter, theoretical analysis using normalized parameters are accepted. The analysis includes a specially made ferrite transformer with two separately wound half cores in order to evaluate analytically and experimentally the changes in magnetizing the leakage fluxes and inductances caused by the distance between the halves. The proposed converter must be operated in switching Pattern III among the three switching patterns for the Zero Voltage Switching operation. According to Pulse Frequency Modulation(PFM) control method, the output voltage of the proposed circuit can be controlled. The results of the theoretical development are compared with practical measurements from a prototype system.

  • This paper describes the magnetizer design of highly saturated magnetic circuit by high external field. The magnetizer is loaded by a capacitor bank with impulse currents to reach high magnetic flux-density(typically 5[T]). Magnetizing current come out from magnetizing system is simulated by analytic method and transient FEM, also field distributions of the magnetizer are analyzed.

  • 본 연구에서는 수치계산을 통해 진행하는 방향에 수직으로 일정한 압력구배를 받는 2차원 난류 자유제트의 발달을 고려해 보고자 한다.속도장을 구한 후에는 제 트의 온도가 주위온도 보다 높을 경우와 또 제트를 사이에 둔 양쪽 유체에 온도차가 있을때의 열확산 특성도 함께 알아보려는 것이다. 수직 방향으로 압력구배가 있는 유동장은 최근 활발히 연구가 진행되는 분야인 제트축에 수직방향으로 주위유동이 있 는 경우와 흡사하며 제트를 통한 열확산현상은 air curtain등 실제 응용도가 큼에도 불구하고 문헌에 보고된 것이 별로 없는 것으로 보여진다.

Transverse variability of flow and sediment transport in estuaries with an estuarine dam

  • Estuarine dams are dams constructed in estuaries for reasons such as securing freshwater resources, controlling water levels, and hydroelectric power generation. These estuarine dams alter the flow of freshwater to the coastal ocean and the tidal properties of the estuaries which has implications for the estuaries' circulation and sediment transport. A previous study has analyzed the effect of estuarine dams on 1D (along-channel) circulation and sediment transport. However, the effect of estuarine dams on the transverse variability of along-channel and across-channel circulation and sediment transport has not been studied and is not known. In this study, a coupled hydrodynamic-sediment dynamic numerical model (COAWST) was used to analyze the transverse variability of along-channel and across-channel flow and sediment transport in estuaries with estuarine dams. The estuarine dam was found to change the 3D structure of circulation and sediment transport, and the result was found to depend on the estuarine type (i.e., strongly stratified (SS) or well-mixed (WM) estuary). The SS estuary had inflow in the channel and outflow over the shoals, consistent with estuarine circulation. Longer discharge interval reduced the estuarine circulation. The WM estuary had inflow over the shoals and outflow in the channel, consistent with tide-induced circulation. As the estuarine dam was located nearer to the estuary mouth, the tide-induced circulation was reduced and replaced with estuarine circulation. The lateral circualtion was the greatest in the tide-dominated estuaries. It was reduced and changed direction due to differential advection change as the dam was located nearer the mouth. Overall, the WM estuary transverse flow structure changed the most. Lateral sediment flux was important in all estuaries, particularly for transporting sediments to the tidal flats.

An Improved Mechanistic Model to Predict Critical Heat Flux in Subcooled and Low Quality Convective Boiling

  • An improved mechanistic model was developed to predict a convective boiling critical heat flux (CHF) in the vertical round tubes with uniform heat fluxes. The CHF formula for subcooled and low quality boiling was derived from the local conservation equations of mass, energy and momentum, together with appropriate constitutive relations. The model is characterized by the momentum balance equation to determine the limiting transverse interchange of mass flux crossing the interface of wall bubbly layer and core by taking account of the convective shear effect due to the frictional drag on the wall-attached bubbles. Comparison between the present model predictions and experimental CHF data from several sources shows good agreement over a wide range of How conditions. The present model shows comparable prediction accuracy with the CHF look-up table of Groeneveld et al. Also the model correctly accounts for the effects of flow variables as well as geometry parameters.

  • 2 phase 8 pole HB type LPM(linear pulse motor) has the suitable structure for it's microstep drive. Hence, if this LPM will be drived by this method, the limited(mechanically) step resolution can be increased further and vibration and noise can be decreased considerably. But, It is difficult that this LPM was analyzed in detail because of it's complex magnetic circuits to be composed the LF(longitudinal flux) and TF(transverse flux.) path. If LPM was analyzed by the approximate 2D model, we could not be obtained satisfactory result. Therefore, It is necessary to be analyzed the 3D model in detail for the more satisfactory results. In this paper, we obtain 3D flux distribution of the mover using by 3D FEM(finite element method)

  • LCD 원판이 세대별로 대형, 중량화됨에 따라 제조, 공정라인의 자동 반송장비도 대형화 되어 가고 있는 추세다. 기존 스토커는 크레인의 주행축에 회전형 전동기와 기계적 동력변환 장치를 사용하고 있어, 복잡한 구조와 기계적 마찰에 의한 잦은 유지, 보수가 필요하게 되고 파티클 발생을 최소화 시켜야 하는 문제점을 안고 있다. 이런 문제점들을 해결하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 단위면적당 추력이 큰 영구자석 여자 횡자속 선형전동기를 적용하고 제안된 제어 알고리즘 및 제어기, 전력변환장치를 제작해서 대형, 고출력, 장거리화 되고 있는 7세대 스토커의 주행축에 실험, 검증하였다.

  • On this study, we optimized maximizing thrust force of weight ratio and minimizing detent force of weight ratio at the TFLM(Transverse Flux Linear Motor) using design of experiments by the table of orthogonal array, characteristic function and analysis of means(ANOM), For two functions or more, the effectiveness of design change can be evaluated in accordance with change in design parameters. Also, The stator and mover weight of TFLM is reduced by up to 20 percent while its thrust force of weight ratio and detent force of weight improved. From now on, we are going to apply the required technique to design various uses and shares of the TFLM.

Thermal Effluent through Extruded Side Channel

  • The reattachment of buoyant efflluent to a shore in a crossflow is investigated experimentally. The effluent is prodeced by discharging heated water through a projected side channel into a confined crossflow of the same depth. In the projecting effluent, the size of recirculating region, which is formed by deflected thermal plume on the lee of the effluent, tends to increase, but the maximum temperature decreases in the direction of the crossflow and it has more uniform transverse spreading compared to non-projected type. The heat flux across the crossflow is found to be independent of the projceted length of the side channel under relatively high buoyancy flux on the contrary to low buoyancy flux. The reattachment of th effluent can be specified by both velocity ratio and densimetric Froude number, whereas only the velocity ratio is governing factor to the reattachment of the effluent in the case of non-projecting type.
