  • We present that the electroluminescence (EL) efficiency can be improved by doping an electron transport layer (ETL) with organic materials which can make electron current increase. The electron transport layer of aluminum tris(8 -hydroxyquinoline) (Alq3) is doped with 2-(4-Biphenylyl)-5-(4-tertbutylphenyl)- 1,3,4-oxadiazole) (butyl-PBD) to enhance the electron mobility of the ETL. The higher quantum efficiency of device having ETL using Alq3 doped with butyl-PBD can be attributed to the improved electron and hole balance.

  • We present that the carrier balance can be improved by doping a hole transport layer of 4,4'- bis[N-(1-napthyl)-N-phenyl-amino]-biphenyl (${\alpha}$-NPD) with a hole blocking material of 2,9-dimethyl- 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (BCP). The doping leads to disturb hole transport, which can enhance the balance of electron s and holes concentration in the emitting layer, aluminum tris(8 -hydroxyquinoline) (Alq3), resulting in enhanced electroluminescence (EL) quantum efficiency for the device with the doped ${\alpha}$-NPD.

  • This paper implements Message Service of TCN or IEC 61375-1. TCN is divided into two services, Variable and Message Service. Variable Service uses the broadcasting method with Source Address, but Message Service uses peer-to-peer method with Destination Address and has OSI 7 Layer. In TCN, interface between Transport and Network Layer has not been defined and Meaning of Packet Pool has not been defined exactly. Therefore, this paper proposes the Implementation method for both the interface between Transport and Network Layer and the packet pool for Message Service of TCN.

  • We report on a highly conductive and stable hole transporting layer comprising of N,N'-di(1- naphthyl)-N,N'-diphenylbenzidine $({\alpha}\;-NPD)$ doped with molybdenum oxide $(MoO_3)$. Compared to the reference device, the device with $MoO_3-doped$ hole transporting material exhibits higher conductivity and thermal stability. The temperature dependence of the current-voltage characteristics are studied for various $(MoO_3)$ doping concentration.

  • We successfully fabricated OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diodes) with Al cathodes electrode deposited by the DC magnetron sputtering. The effects of a controlled Al cathode layer of an Indium Tin Oxide (ITO)/blended single polymer layer (PVK Bu:PBD:dye)/Al light emitting diodes are described. The PVK (Poly(N-vinylcarbazole)) and Bu-PBD (2-(4-biphenyl-phenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole) are used hole transport polymer and electron transport molecule respectively. We found that both current injection and electroluminescence output are significantly different with a variable DC sputtering power. The difference is believed to be due to the influence near the blended polymer layer/cathode interface that results from the DC power and H$\sub$2//O in a chamber. And DC sputtering deposition is an effective way to fabricate Al electrodes with pronounced orientational characteristics without damage occurring to metal-organic interface during the sputtering deposition.

  • This study represents numerical analysis on the thermal and fluid flow of the air layer in a solar collector. The boundary conditions was assumed that the top and bottom wall of the air layer have a heating and cooling surface, respectively, and this calculation model have a solid body with a cooling temperature of $20^{\circ}C$. As the results of simulations, the magnitudes of the velocity vectors and isotherms are increased proportionally to the tilt angles. As the tilt angle is increased, the mean Nusselt numbers are increased and the maximum value of the mean Nusselt number was appeared at tilt angle $\theta=75^{\circ}$.

  • In this study, we analyzed the electric and optical characteristics by using various deposition rate ($0.5{\AA}$, $1.0{\AA}$ and $1.5{\AA}/s$) in order to enhance the performance in organic light-emitting devices (OLED). The organic multi-layer structures were deposited with NPB ($500{\AA}$ as hole transport layer), Alq3 ($600{\AA}$ as electron transport layer and emission layer) and LiF ($8{\AA}$ as electron injection layer) via SUNIC PLUS200 on Glass/ITO substrates. In this experiment, we examined the relationship between porous state of organic deposition and mobility of the organic materials. Among the three deposition rates, $0.5{\AA}/s$ achieved the highest performance of (10,786cd/m2, 4.387cd/A) comparing with that of $1{\AA}/s$ (7,779cd/m2, 3.281cd/A) and $1.5{\AA}/s$ (5,167cd/m2, 2.693cd/A). We confirmed that low deposition rate helps to arrange organic materials densely and to move easily another atomic location using inter-chain transporting by orbital overlap.

  • Vehicular communications have been receiving much attention in intelligent transport systems (ITS) by combining communication technology with automobile industries. In general, vehicular communications can be used for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication by adopting IEEE802.11p/1609 standard which is commonly known as wireless access in vehicular environments (WAVE). WAVE system transmits signal in 5.9GHz frequency band with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signaling. In this paper, we consider physical layer issues in vehicular communications. We first overview the physical (PHY) layer of WAVE standard and properties of 5.9GHz signals, and then physical layer issues to provide reliable communication link are discussed.

  • In the present work, ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) have been dispersed alone in the same solvent of the active layer for improving performance parameters of the organic solar cells. Different concentrations of the ZnO NPs have been blended inside active layer of the solar cell based on poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT), which forms the hole-transport network, and [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM), which forms the electron-transport network. In the present investigations, the ZnO NPs may represent an efficient tool for improving light harvesting through light scattering inside active layer, electron mobility, and electron acceptance strength which tend to improve photocurrent and performance parameters of the investigated solar cell. The fill factor (FF) of the ZnO-doped solar cell increases nearly 14% compared to the non-doped solar cell when the doping is 50%. The present investigations show that ZnO NPs improve power conversion efficiency of the solar cell from 1.23% to 1.64% with increment around 25% that takes place after incorporation of 40% as a volume ratio of the ZnO NPs inside P3HT:PCBM active layer.

  • For the polymer tandem cell, simple and advantaged solution-based method to electron transport intermediate layer is presented which are composed $TiO_2$ nanoparticles. Device were based on a regioregular Poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT) and [6,6]-phenyl $C_{61}$ butyric acid methyl ester($PC_{60}BM$) blend as a donor and acceptor bulk-heterojunction. For the middle electrode interlayer, the $TiO_2$ nanoparticles were well dispersed in ethanol solution and formed thin layer on the P3HT:PCBM charge separation layer by spin coating. The layer serves as the electron transport layer and divides the polymer tandem solar cell. The open-circuit voltage (Voc) for the polymer tandem solar cells was closed to the sum of those of individual cells.
