SP 화물수단선택을 위한 Inherent Random Heterogeneity 로짓 모형 연구 (Inherent Random Heterogeneity Logit Model for Stated Preference Freight Mode Choice)

  • 화물수단선택모형 구축은 화물 및 물류관련 연구에 있어서 중요한 역할을 차지한다. 그러나 이러한 화물수단 선택 모형을 구축하기 위해 실제 관측되는 자료(Revealed Preference:RP)를 이용하는 데는 한계가 존재하며 따라서 선호의식 기법을 활용한 Stated Preference(SP) 자료가 화물수단 선택 모형을 구축하는데 중요한 자료로 사용된다 SP 자료는 이처럼 화물교통 자료의 현실적인 한계를 극복할 수 있지만 SP자료를 이용하여 구축되어지는 화물수단모형인 경우 조사기법의 한계로 RP자료에는 존재하지 않는 편의가 발생한다. 본 논문은 SP 자료를 이용하여 수단선택모형 구축시 발생하는 편의 제거에 대한 연구이다. 특히 본 논문에서는 시뮬레이션 방법을 이용하여 개인의 다양한 선택행태 다양성(heterogeneity)과 이러한 다양성이 SP 다음 질문에 전이되는 문제점을 극복하는 새로운 개념의 화물수단 선택 로짓모형을 제시한다. 또한 단순 로짓모형이 갖고 있는 IIA 특성을 극복하는 화물수단 선택모형도 제시한다. 본 연구를 통해 화물교통에 존재하는 화주의 다양한 선택행태 분석뿐만 아니라 SP 수단선택 모형이 갖는 편의 극복에 본 연구가 일조하기를 기대한다.

유라시아 화물운송수단선택 특성 분석 (Analysis of Mode Choice Characteristics for Eurasian Freight Transportation)

  • 유라시아 지역으로 화물을 효과적으로 운송하기 위한 방안을 마련하기 위하여 TCR, TSR 등 국제철도와 해운을 이용한 운송현황을 서로 비교할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 유라시아 국제운송로의 이용현황을 살펴보고 주 운송수단으로 이용되는 철도와 해상 간의 운송수단선택 실태를 분석하고자 하였다. 분석 자료는 유라시아 지역 운송을 담당하는 국제물류업체를 대상으로 수행된 SP조사 자료를 활용하였다. 유라시아 운송수단 선택특성을 분석한 결과, 유라시아 지역으로 화물 운송시 운송시간과 운송비용에 따라서 철도와 해운 간의 경쟁관계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 지역별로 해상과 철도로의 접근용이성에 따라 수단선택특성이 상이한 것을 알 수 있었다. 향후 유라시아 지역의 다양한 국제운송로를 효과적으로 이용하기 위한 방안을 모색하는데 본 연구결과가 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

개인성향 요인이 탄소저감형 교통서비스 잠재선호에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of Attitudinal Factors on Stated Preference of Low-carbon Transportation Services)

  • 최근 전세계적으로 환경에 대한 관심이 커지고, 국제사회가 '탄소중립'을 선언하면서 '탄소'를 고려한 다양한 수단선택모형 연구가 실시되고 있으나, 탄소에 대한 개인성향을 반영한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 탄소저감형 이동수단(전동킥보드 등)을 포함한 대중교통 서비스로 SPT(Sustainable Public Transit)라는 새로운 수단을 제시하고, 수도권 통근자를 대상으로 실시한 SP(Stated Preference)조사를 활용하여 요인분석을 통해 응답자의 탄소에 대한 개인성향을 분석한 후, 다항로짓모형을 활용하여 SPT에 대한 수단선택모형을 구축하였다. 분석 결과, SPT 잠재선호에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 성별, 소득, 개인성향('새로운경로 탐색에 대한 열정', '수단간 환승 선호', '탄소저감지식', '탄소저감실천') 변수가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 본 연구는 수단선택모형 구축시 수단의 속성변수로 탄소배출량을 선정하거나, 탄소저감과 관련한 개인성향 변수를 구축했다는 부분에서 의의가 있다.

  • As for the travel demand analysis of the past, forcasting has been conducted by the use of revealed preference(RP) informations about actual or observed choices made by individuals. Forcasting method using RP data needs implicit assumptions that there will be no remarkable changes in existing transport conditions. However in case of occuring the great changes in existing conditions or adding a new choice-set of hypothetical options, it is very difficult to predict future travel demand. Fortunately in recent years, especially in the mode choice analysis, it has been perceived that the importance of individual performance data using stated preference(SP) experiments as well as RP data. But the research reports has not been reported sufficiently from models estimated using SP data. Under this background, we analyze the factors affecting the mode choice behavior as a fundamental study against the modelling task with SP choice data. For this analysis, we assumed subway operations in the secondary cities where there are no subway lines until now, and set up a choice-set of hypothetical options based on Experimental Design Method.

고속철도에 있어서 접근도의 중요성 분석에 관한 연구 (An Analysis of the Importance of Accessibility for High Speed Railway : Stated-Preference Approach)

  • The introduction of high speed railway system a significant impact on the conventional inter-urban transport systems by inducing a significant traffic from the existing modes as well as generating a new traffic. It is also closely related to intra-urban transport systems as the inter-urban traffic has its origin and destination in a city. In the context of mode choice, for high speed transport systems, it has been argued that the accessibility is the most important attribute conceived by users. Thus this study attempts to analysis the importance of the accessibility for the planned high speed railway systems particularly with respect to the location of Busan Station. For this Stated-Preference approach, which is considered appropriate for such study, is adopted, and disaggregate binary logit models for mode choice between the high speed railway and air service in Busan-Seoul corridor are developed. The elasticities for cost and service variables are also derived. The results disclose that cost is the most important which is inconsistent with most previous studies ; accessibility has considerable impact on the choice ; and frequency however has a little impacts. Concerning location of the high speed railway station the results suggest that the longer the access distance is, the more important the accessibility is. This implies that the connection of reliable access transport services such as underground are essential between the terminal and urban center.

SP자료를 이용한 화물수송수단 선택모형의 개발 -컨테이너 내륙운송을 중심으로- (Mode Choice Models for Freight Transportation Using SP Data)

  • This study aims to assess the potential competition among road, rail, and coastal transport under various scenarios concerning the future inland container transport systems in Pusan-KyungIn corridor. For this SP approaches are adopted to collect data from shippers and carriers, and multinomial logit models are estimated at disaggragate level. The results of the analysis indicate that the SP data are reliable, and that the mode choice models estimated are valid. The results also indicate that the most effective policy to divert the freight volume from road to other modes is to reduce freight rates for the railway, and is to transport time for the coastal water with improved reliability.

  • The aim of this study is to empirically identify the differentiating characteristics of determinant factors on sing-person households' commuting mode choice compared to multi-person households' one in order to establish the customized police directions to decrease private car use in commuting. While the study use the 2% sample survey data on the population and housing in 2015, it employ multinomial logit models on relative choice probability of such alternative commuting modes as bus, subway or rail, and walking, rather than driving. As potential determinant factors, the study employs demographic, socio-economic, and housing and residential one for both models of single-person and multi-person households. The study finds that the behavior of commuting mode choice has distinctive difference by gender, marriage status, physical activity constraint, job type, residential period in current housing of the single-person household's workers compared to the multi-person households' ones. Based on the findings, the study deduce ten commuting policy directions customized for the single-person household.

  • 본 연구는 광역전철 활성화를 목표로 승용차 대비 경쟁력 평가를 위한 수단선택모형을 개발하였다. 연구대상 노선은 수도권의 경의선과 중앙선이며, 열차운행 구간은 두 노선을 연결하는 일산역부터 구리역까지 설정하였다. 수단선택모형은 잠재선호조사(SP) 자료를 이용한 개별행태모형이며, 교통수단선택의 경쟁구도는 승용차와 급행열차이다. 연구 결과, 수단선택모형이 적정한 수준으로 도출되었으며, 이를 이용하여 통행자의 시간가치와 탄력성 값이 나타내는 특성을 분석하였다. 분석결과 광역전철에서 급행열차를 운행할 경우에는 통행비용의 감소보다는 통행시간의 단축에 주안점을 두는 것이 더욱 효과적으로 나타났다. 또한 이 같은 측면에서 개별노선간의 직결운행을 확대하고 급행열차를 운행하여 환승시간과 차내시간을 줄여주는 정책 추진이 요구된다.

Conjoint Choice Model을 이용한 주제공원 이용자들의 선택행동 연구 (A Study on the Theme Park Users's Choice behavior: Application of Conjoint Choice Model)

  • The purposes of this study are two folds: a) to introduce conjoint choice model to research the choice behavior of theme park users, and b) to suggest the strategies to strengthen the competitiveness of theme parks. The major four theme parks in Seoul metropolitan areas were selected as study areas. A leading polling agency was employed to select 432 respondents by probability sampling and to conduct face-to-face interview. Both alternative generating and choice set generating fractional factorial design were conducted simultaneously to meet the necessary and sufficient conditions for calibration of the conjoint choice model. Dummy coding was used to represent the attribute levels, and the alternative-specific model was calibrated. The goodness-of-fit of the model was quite satisfactory($\rho$$^2$=0.47950), and most parameters values had to expected sign and magnitude. Car was preferred transport mode to shuttle bus for visiting theme parks ; however the most ideal attribute levels only were estimated significantly. Most attribute levels of shuttle bus were estimated significantly except the Dream Land, which is the least attractive park among study areas. Simulation results showed that the shuttle bus was a mode worth providing to switch the current car dominant visiting pattern of theme parks, which will be one the effective strategies to attract more patrons, especially for potential users adjacent to parks. Several ideals were suggested for future researches, in terms of utilization of more general utility function and new base alternative, and inclusion of more salient attributes such as constraints in the model.

  • Travel is a factor that stimulates the vitality of the urban and is widely used as an indicator of sustainable growth of the region. In Korea, however, no studies has been made to predict changes in traffic and calculate the accessibility of the region by comprehensively considering the socio-economic conditions of the travelers. The purpose of this study is to classify commuters according to the household income and to analyse the traffic characteristics of each class. The analysis results are aggregated into two. First, the analysis of study found different transport characteristics for different income classes. This is the result that underpins the argument of a previous study that suggested that a discriminatory approach is necessary for each income in determining the accessibility of the region. Second, this study calculated utility values differently for each income class based on the transit time and cost required between each zone. Through these measures, transport characteristics were analyzed by income class using indicators that considered transportation infrastructure, and socio-economic conditions of the travelers. This study is meaningful in that it provided the basis for calculating the accessibility that could take into account the activities of the housing consumers in establishing domestic housing policies.
