Dynamic Characteristic Analysis of SSSC based on Multi-bridge PWM Inverter

  • This paper proposes an SSSC based on multi-bridge inverters in PWM scheme. The proposed system consists of 6 H-bridge inverter modules per phase. The dynamic characteristic of proposed system was analyzed by simulation with EMTP codes, assuming that the SSSC is inserted in the 154-kV transmission line of one-machine-infinite-bus power system. The feasibility of hardware implementation was verified through experimental works with a scaled-model. The proposed system can be directly inserted in the transmission line without coupling transformers, and has flexibility in expanding the operation voltage by increasing the number of H-bridges.

X-밴드 magnetically tunable E-평면형 도파관 여파기 설계 (A design of magnetically tunable X-band E-plane waveguide filters)

  • This paper presents a design methodology for magnetically tunable X-band E-plane type waveguide filters. The proposed design is based on using of quarter wavelength transmission line for compensating the negative length transmission line of end K-inverters of E-plane type waveguide filters. The derived formulae are applied for initial design and the correction method is also provided for final design by considering the frequency dependent characteristic of K-inverters. The analysis results of E-plane pype waveguide structure loaded with ferrite slab are obtained using the edge based finite element method including higher order mode effecets. It is shown that the unilateral finline E-plane type waveguide filter as well as the bilateral finline E-plane type waveguide filter achieves the the manetically tunable characteristic. The X-band experimantal results for bilateral and unilateral finline E-plane type waveguide filters agree well with the simulated data.

  • As demand of electric power are growing and transmission line limited owing to enlargement of the downtown area The eonfidence of underground transmission cable which shows gradual growth are high. It is found whether insulating ability is good or not. In this paper, The exper iment result is shown that the fall of insulating ability and take preventive measure through the analysis of tans, water content, dielectric breakdown voltage, total acid number, volume resistivity , and gas in the oil in an accordance with the characteristic change of oil used very much for insulating oil of cable.

  • The considerations for remaining life of ACSR (Aluminum Stranded Conductors Steel Reinforced) in transmission lines has become gradually important to hold reliability and stability of power supply. The remaining life of ACSR exposed to the atmosphere for a long period may rely on deterioration caused by environmental indices such as atmospheric corrosion, galvanic corrosion, crevice corrosion and fatigue corrosion. This paper deals with material characteristic of ACSR due to eccentricity at sleeve point. Test samples are ACSR 240[$mm^2$] conductors, which are real transmission lines. As a result, it is obvious that ACSR due to eccentricity may lead to mechanical deterioration.

  • 본 논문에서는 특성임피이던스가 선형적으로 변화하는 불균일박송선로의 특성, 특히 임피이던스정합특성을 해석하고 아울러 특성임피이던스 및 스트립의 폭이 선형적으로 변화하는 하는 불균일 마이크로스트립의 정합특성을 실험적으로 고찰하였다. In this paper, the characteristics, especially impedance matching behavior of linearly tapered transmission line which impedance is varied linearly is analyzed. Also impedance matching of nonuniform microstrip which characteristic impedance or width of strip is varied linearly are experimentally investigated.

  • Two basic acoustic quantities, the characteristic impedances and the propagation constants, of the two different ultra lightweight concrete absorbers were examined with impedance tube method. A transmission loss was tested and compared with theoretical values. The results show that these kinds of sample have proper sound absorption and transmission loss capabilities. It means that they can be used in various fields where noise proof is needed.

  • In High-Speed DSP systems, crosstalk between transmission lines of multi-channel can degrade the performance of equipment operations. This paper presents a microwave board to measure multi-channel coaxial cable assembly. The designed board has good performances from DC to 3 GHz, which have improved characteristic impedance, reduced crosstalk by using via fence, and low transmission loss. Using the designed board, we can measure characteristics of DUT(Device Under Test) such as return loss, insertion loss, crosstalk phase delay, and characteristic impedance. The measured results are used to improve performances of a produced coaxial cable assembly.

  • This paper describes the design program of duct silencer. Duct silencer is used ventilating system. Variables in the program for predicting transmission loss are width of splitter, airway width, perforate plate, absorption material and frequency. Generally used expression for predicting transmission loss has something that don't think about frequency characteristic. Therefore we propose the new expression that considered frequency characteristic. In the 1/1 octave band center frequency, the expected weighting number(K) is fitted with absorption ratio and airway width. The fitted 2nd degree polynomial expression is based on the test data performed in YOUIL Industrial Corperation. This program's accuracy is about 90 percent.

  • 본 논문에서는 주파수 선택적 투과막(FSS)이 결합된 복합재료 구조에서 구성 재료 간의 열팽창계수 차이로 잔류응력이 발생하므로 이로 인한 층간분리나 FSS의 손상 등 구조적인 파손 가능성과 잔류응력으로 인하여 변형된 FSS가 전파투과특성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구하였다. FSS는 단위요소의 종류, 설계변수, 배열에 따라 전파특성이 다르게 나타나므로, PSO 알고리즘을 이용하여 다이폴이 목표주파수에서 투과특성을 갖도록 설계하고 그 설계치수를 다른 N-pole 종류 단위요소(Tripole, Cross dipole, Jerusalem cross)에 적용하여, 복합재료 구조에 발생하는 잔류응력과 그로인한 구조적 손상과 전파 특성을 영향성을 관찰하고 FSS패턴과 복합재료의 적층 변화에 따라 비교하였다.

  • 본 논문은 Loop 종류의 주파수 선택적 투과구조(FSS)를 결합시킨 복합재료 구조의 잔류응력으로 인한 층간분리, FSS의 손상 등 구조적 파손과 잔류응력으로 인해 변형된 FSS의 전파 투과 특성의 영향을 연구하였다. FSS는 단위요소 종류, 설계 변수, 배열에 따라 일정 대역에 전파를 투과 혹은 반사시킬 수 있다. 그래서 사각 루프 FSS를 복합재료와 결합시켰을 때 X-band(8~12 GHz)에서 공진이 발생하도록 설계한 후, 그에 따른 치수를 규격화하여 다른 루프형상(삼각 루프, 원형 루프)에 적용하고 단일 Loop와 이중 Loop 구조일 때 복합재료의 적층을 변화시켜 비교 분석하였다.
