고속철도역의 연계환승시설 서비스 수준 평가 (The Service Evaluation of Connection and Transfer Facilities in the High-speed Railway Stations)

  • The introduction of KTX (Korea Train eXpress) provided passengers with a much faster mode of transport, and KTX has become a model railway system. Express railway stations are emphasized as public transit transfer centers, but their service evaluations were not performed appropriately so far. It is possible to know the level of service by developing valuation criteria for their evaluations. The evaluation of transfer centers mainly consists of two parts; connective service with other travel m odes, and transfer service inside transfer stations. Connection is defined as the inter-connection of multi-transportation vehicles, and transfer means that a passenger changes his travel mode to another. Such connective service and transfer service are evaluated by the level of service in terms of transfer facilities, the appropriateness of station layout and the quality of information throughout the facilities. We developed the service evaluation indicators of connective facilities and referred to the indicators of transfer facilities. We examined the 7 stations in Korea that are currently in operation and standardized the methodology of the evaluation process by applying the indicators suggested in this study.

승용차에서의 인체 진동 측정 및 시트 특성 최적설계 (Human Vibration Measurement for Passenger Car and Seat Characteristics Optimization)

  • This study deals with the vibration ride quality for passenger car when running on straight highway at the speed of 70km/h. Ten accelerations were measured at four positions, three axes each at the feet, hip, and head, and one axis at the back. Five seats that have different static sponge stiffness were used, and two subjects were participated. These accelerations were analyzed to produce the ride values such as component ride value and overall ride value. It was hard to see the difference of ride value by the change of sponge stiffness. However we could rank the ride quality by the total vibration exposed to passengers. From the transfer function between the hip and the foot, the fundamental mode was observed to be around 5.8Hz. Also the transfer function between the head and hip was studied. The optimal damping ratio of the seat was calculated according to the seat natural frequency with human weighting filter which makes the optimal damping ratio different from that without weighting filter.

  • A design process for the structure-borne noise in a passenger vehicle is presented. The proposed process is improved from the previous one. The major difference between the current and last ones is that most of the countermeasures should be developed before fixing a tool for structural parts. This is requested for QCDP(Quality, Cost, Delivery and Productivity) by the design engineers. The proposed one consists of 4 steps: Problem definition, Cause analysis, Development of counter-measure and Validation. Based on the general rule: divide and conquer, the complex problem can be simplified into a few critical sub-systems through the first step: Problem definition. Secondly, the critical causes can be identified for the critical sub-systems through the second step: Cause analysis. Thirdly, effective countermeasures are investigated and produced through the third step: Countermeasure development. The proposed countermeasures are finally validated in the forth step: Validation.

  • The presented investigation of shift clonk in a vehicle with front-wheel drive shows how a detailed analysis of the complete acoustic system with respect to excitation, transfer and radiation foremost enables possibilities of noise reduction to be worked out. One of the most important basics for the shift clonk analysis was a synchronous measurement of both, torsional vibrations in the drive train on the excitation side as well as airborne and structure-borne noise signals on the transfer and radiation side. Thus, root causes could be identified and improvement measures of the internal shift system could be worked out. An analysis of the transfer paths by means of airborne and structure borne noise measurements made evident that the side shafts were responsible for the disturbing frequencies in the transfer paths. With the help of the FE-simulation it was possible to develop measures of structure optimisation for the side shaft system. The realisation of these measures clearly reduced the shift-noises in the vehicle interior.

  • This paper aims for proposed the deflection limit on vibration serviceability of high-speed railway bridges considering the exposed time duration when a train passes a railway bridge. For this purpose, bridge-train transfer function was derived and bridge-train interaction analysis was performed by using the derived function. The vertical acceleration signals of passenger cars obtained from bridge-train interaction analysis were compared with them from the bridge-train transfer function by moving constant force analysis. Therefore it was estimated possible to induce the comfort deflection limit of railway bridge by using bridge-train transfer function. The deflections by moving force of single span bridge and continuous bridge were assumed as sine and haversine wave. The deflection limit on vibration serviceability of high-speed railway bridges considering the exposed time duration can be expanded using bridge-train transfer function and bridge comfort limit considering serviceability due to bridge vibration. And it was compared to other allowable deflection limits of railway bridge design specifications.

  • In this work transfer function synthesis method based on FRF data of each substructure is investigated for a complex structure composed of many substructures. Though the transfer function synthesis method has superiority to analyze the characteristics of interfaces among substructures effectively, many problems arise in the computation process, especially matrix inversion process. Due to computational problems, the error between the data obtained by test and the predictions through computations is inevitable. So in this paper, computational aspects in the transfer function synthesis method are examined through a steering system problem of passenger car. For the FBS method, frequency response functions of 3 substructures are measured experimentally. Effects of several parameters such as matrix inversion method, connection conditions between substructures and off-diagonal terms on system response are studied numerically.

인천국제공항에서 환승하는 중국인.일본인의 환승만족도에 대한 차이분석 (A Comparative Study of Satisfaction of Chinese and Japanese Transit Passengers at Incheon International Airport)

  • This paper tried to find out what the main factors are to impact on satisfaction level of transit passengers at Incheon airport. Incheon airport has made lots of transit facilities and services to attract transit passengers from neighboring airports to increase transit rate as high as advanced foreign airports such as Heathrow, Schiphol and Hong Kong. A survey was performed on 450 transit passengers resting at airport transit lounge in airside area. According to the result, it was found out to be significant factors affecting satisfaction of transit that convenience of security screening, price of duty-free product, a direction board & signage and terminal orientation among Chinese transit passengers. On the other hands, it seemed that Japanese transit passengers thought diversity of airline routes, convenient transfer flight schedule, total transit time and terminal orientation are major variables affecting their satisfaction. Considering the effect of demographic factors, Chinese passenger's satisfaction was more affected by age, travel purpose, the number of travel per year and flight destinations. However, Japanese transit passenger's satisfaction was only affected by the flight destinations, especially willing to travel to North America and Europe.

승용 전조등 LED 램프의 방열판 자연 냉각특성 (Natural Cooling Characteristics of a Heat Sink for LED Headlight used in Passenger Cars)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the cooling characteristics of a heat sink for an LED headlight used in passenger cars. To this end, this study conducts the experimental and numerical analysis of the heat sink heated at constant heat fluxes without air flow applied. In the experiments, heat was transferred at a constant heat flux through the bottom of a heat sink. The measured temperature on pre-selected locations of the heat sink was in good agreement with the numerically predicted one. The experimental and numerical results indicate that the convective heat transfer coefficient for the natural convection mode was decreased by increasing the heat flux applied to the bottom of heat sink, lowering the cooling capabilities.

자동차 열부하의 계산 (A Study on the Heat Load Transferred to a Passenger Vehicle)

  • The computer simulation program that calculates the transient heat load transferred to a passenger vehicle has been developed. Method for modeling mathematically various kinds of the heat load was presented and the derived equations were solved numerically. To find out the accuracy of the simulation program, the correlation of experimental and analytical results was demonstrated. By using this program, the typical characteristics about temperature distribution and instantaneous or of vehicle body color, material of glass, air-conditioning capacity, driving direction, and speed. Under a steady-state condition, the ratios of the heat load, resulting form vehicle body, glass, and interior part, were 35%, 29%, and 36%, respectively.
