A New Training System for Improving Postural Balance Using a Tilting Bed

  • In this paper, we propose an early rehabilitation training system for the improvement of postural balance with multi-modality on a tilting bed. The integration of the visual, somatosensory and vestibular functions is significant to for maintaining the postural control of the human body. However, conventional rehabilitation systems do not provide multi-modality to trainees. We analyzed the characterization of postural control at different tilt angles of an early rehabilitation training system, which consists of a tilting bed, a visual feedback, a computer interface, a computer, and a force plate. The software that we developed for the system consists of the training programs and the analysis programs. To evaluate the characterization of postural control, we conducted the first evaluation before the beginning of the training. In the following four weeks, 12 healthy young and 5 healthy elderly subjects were trained to improve postural control using the training programs with the tilting bed. After four weeks of training, we conducted the second evaluation. The analysis programs assess (center of pressure) COP moving time, COP maintaining time, and mean absolute deviation of the trace before and after training at different tilt angles on the bed. After 4 weeks, the COP moving time was reduced, the COP maintaining time was lengthened, and the mean absolute deviation of the trace was lowered through the repeated use of vertical, horizontal, dynamic circle movement training programs. These results show that this system improves postural balance and could be applied to clinical use as an effective training system.

  • 군인에게 있어 체력은 전투력의 근간으로 투철한 군인정신과 전투기술의 전제조건이라 말할 수 있으며 이는 규칙적인 신체활동과 단련을 통하여 유지 증진 시킬 수 있는 것이다. 강인한 체력을 목적으로 부사관과 학생들에게 체력단련 프로그램을 단계적 학습모형 수업을 통해 체력향상이 되었는지가 학생들에게 체력단련 프로그램을 단계적학습모형 수업을 통해 체력향상이 되었는지가 본연구의 핵심이며 전국의 부사관과 체력단련 수업에 체력단련 프로그램 단계적 학습모형을 활용한 수업방법을 군사체육 담당교수에게 자료를 제공하여 군간부를 준비하는 학생들에게 체력향상에 도움이 될것으로 기대가 된다.

노동조합이 교육훈련에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Labor Unions on Job Training Programs)

  • 본 연구는 사업체패널조사와 노동패널조사를 사용하여 노동조합이 교육훈련에 미치는 영향을 비교·분석하였다. 상관임의효과(Correlated Random Effect: CRE) 모형을 적용한 사업체 및 개인 단위의 분석 결과를 살펴보면, 두 결과 모두에서 노동조합은 교육훈련을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 노동조합의 존재는 사업체의 교육훈련 실시를 약 4.7%p, 개별 근로자들의 교육훈련 참여를 약 1.7%p 높이는 것으로 추정되었으며, 이상의 분석 결과는 근로자를 위한 교육훈련을 늘리기 위한 노동조합의 역할을 시사하고 있다.

중국 체인 호텔의 교육 훈련 후 동기 부여와 자기실현이 경력 유효성 및 만족도에 미치는 영향 - 중국 Sheraton Shenzhen Hotel을 중심으로 - (The Impact of Motivation and Self-Activation on Career Effectiveness and Employee Satisfaction upon Completion of Employee Training Programs of a Chain Hotel in China - A Case Study of Sheraton Sheraton Hotel in China -)

  • 본 연구에서는 중국 소재 체인 호텔의 교육 훈련 프로그램이 동기 부여와 경력 유효성과 만족도에 미치는 영향 관계와 교육 훈련 후 자기실현이 경력 유효성과 만족도에 미치는 영향을 파악하여 중국의 체인 호텔 교육 프로그램과 중국인 호텔 종사원의 교육적 성과에 대한 학문적 이해를 제시하고자 한다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 문헌 연구와 실증 연구를 병행하였는데, 실증 연구에 대해서는 중국 심천 소재의 Sheraton Shenzhen Hotel에 근무하는 종사원들을 대상으로 조사하였다. 이러한 연구를 위해 4개의 가설을 설정하였다. 연구 가설 1은 교육 훈련에 대한 동기 부여가 경력 유효성에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이다. 연구 가설 2는 교육 훈련에 대한동기 부여가 직원 만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이다. 연구 가설 3은 교육 훈련 후 자기실현이 경력 유효성에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이다. 연구 가설 4는 교육 훈련 후 자기실현이 직원 만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이다. 결과에 따르면 교육 훈련은 동기 부여(p-value 0.003)와 자기실현(p-value 0.036)에 긍정적인 영향을 마침을 나타내었다. 또한 교육 훈련 후 자기실현이 경력 유효성(p-value 0.000)과 직원 만족(p-value 0.020)에도 긍정적인 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 중국 체인 호텔의 교육 프로그램은 성공적임을 알 수 있었다. 하지만 본 연구에서는 교육 훈련 프로그램에 대한 성과를 통합적인 관점에서 조사하였고, 결과는 긍정적인 영향을 보임을 알 수 있었지만, 교육 훈련을 세분화하여 어떤 교육 훈련 프로그램이 어느 정도의 영향을 미치는지 까지는 파악하지 못한 아쉬운 부분이 있다. 국내 호텔 대상의 연구 결과들과의 차이점은 직원 만족은 이직 의도를 감소하는 것으로 나타났으나, 중국 호텔 직원들을 대상으로 한 본 연구 결과는 그렇지 않음을 보여주었다.

예방의학 발전을 위한 전공의 수련 교육개선 (Reformation of Residency Trainingship for the Future of Preventive Medicine in Korea)

  • From the start of the residency trainingship in 1963, the residency training programs have been contributed much on the establishment and development of preventive medicine in Korea. But these programs are now have several problems to update the changes in health service needs of the population that were caused by a rapid epidemiologic transition from the acute infectious diseases to chronic diseases in last a few decades. Strengthening in medical practice, not just in knowledge is urgently required. Must have more concentrate on preventive service for the individual, as in clinical preventive medicine. Training residents by the systematic and well scheduled programs, not just 'teacher' assistant' in the academic facilities. Trying the change in the system of Specilty of Preventive Medicine to the well established several subspecialty, so more specific competency can be gained through the training. These approach and reformation may not only contribute for the better future of the preventive medicine, but also improve in disease prevention and health promotion, which required by the society in Korea.

Standards for Endovascular Neurosurgical Training and Certification of the Society of Korean Endovascular Neurosurgeons 2013

  • The need for standard endovascular neurosurgical (ENS) training programs and certification in Korea cannot be overlooked due to the increasing number of ENS specialists and the expanding ENS field. The Society of Korean Endovascular Neurosurgeons (SKEN) Certification Committee has prepared training programs and certification since 2010, and the first certificates were issued in 2013. A task force team (TFT) was organized in August 2010 to develop training programs and certification. TFT members researched programs and systems in other countries to develop a program that best suited Korea. After 2 years, a rough draft of the ENS training and certification regulations were prepared, and the standard training program title was decided. The SKEN Certification Committee made an official announcement about the certification program in March 2013. The final certification regulations comprised three major parts: certified endovascular neurosurgeons (EN), certified ENS institutions, and certified ENS training institutions. Applications have been evaluated and the results were announced in June 2013 as follows: 126 members received EN certification and 55 hospitals became ENS-certified institutions. The SKEN has established standard ENS training programs together with a certification system, and it is expected that they will advance the field of ENS to enhance public health and safety in Korea.

국내외 병원약사 교육프로그램 현황 및 한 병원의 약사 역량강화를 위한 교육프로그램 개발 (Investigation and Development of Competency-based Training Program for Pharmacists in a Hospital)

  • Objective: This study was to investigate and develop a training program that integrated and strengthened clinical competence and capacity of hospital pharmacists which would be implemented at the pharmacy department of Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital. Methods: We assessed the training programs of hospital pharmacists in the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan and compared those of major hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi provinces in Korea. The survey assessed the satisfaction on the current educational programs for pharmacists at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital and a newly designed education program was suggested. Results: The major differences of the programs among the Korean hospitals and Mokdong Hospital were the training period and contents of the entry-level pharmacist education program. The overall satisfaction of the training program was >3 points on 5-Likert scale in the survey. There was no significant difference of the satisfaction level based on the employment period of pharmacists. The pharmacists were in more than 7 training programs of clinical support work. We proposed the clinical support training for the new pharmacists to be separated from orientation and concentrated on actual work duty. In order to improve the competency, it was encouraged to participate the in-house seminar or certify the related fields provided by Korean Society of Health-system Pharmacists. Conclusion: The education program was assessed among different countries and hospitals of Korea. We suggested to update education program in the hospital to enhance pharmacists' competency.

편마비 환자의 트레드밀과 체중지지의 트레드밀 훈련이 균형능력 및 보행능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Treadmill and Body Weight Support Treadmill Training on Balance and Gait Ability in Hemiplegia Patients)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate and to verification of changes that the effect of treadmill and body weight support treadmill training on balance and gait ability for sub-acute stroke patients during 4 week. Method: 16 subjects who was diagnosed stroke were divided into 2 groups(8-treadmill training group, 8-body weight support treadmill group) by randomized control trial. Both training programs were consisted with 40 minuted, 5 times a week for 4 weeks and after training programs. Analysis: We analysed effects and changes on balance and gait ability. Analyses were performed using PASW ver. 18.0 and results were reported as mean ${\pm}$ standard deviation (S.D.). To investigate within group comparisons and to verification on effects of exercise, we did paired t test and repeated measured ANOVA test. Significance was set at p<.05. Result: Both training programs showed positive changes in Limit of Stability but significant results which is area of hemiside, area of intact side, area of posterior, total area were reported in body weight support treadmill training group. Changes of Berg Balance Scale was significantly increase and it had significant correlation between groups. Changes of 6 Minutes Walking Test was significant increase in both groups but there was no significant changes on Foot print and Romberg test. Conclusion: After considering all factors, both training programs showed effect on improvement of balance and gait ability in sub-acute stroke patients, but body weight support treadmill training group had better improvement in dynamic balance than treadmill training group. For the increase of balance and gait ability in sub-acute stroke patients, we need to continues study on difference of treadmill and body weight support treadmill and then we will give stroke patients a better satisfaction if we develop and provide a rehabilitation program for improvement of balance and gait ability.

실업자재취직훈련의 재취업 성과에 관한 준실험적 평가 (Quasi-Experimental Evaluation on the Impact of the Training for the Unemployed)

  • 본 연구는 훈련을 받지 않은 실직자들로 비교집단을 구성하여 훈련을 받은 실직자들과 함께 추적조사를 실시함으로써, 훈련을 받지 않았을 경우의 가상적인 결과와 비교하여 훈련의 성과를 추정하는 준실험적인 평가를 하였다. Cox모형을 통한 추정결과, 훈련참여는 실직자의 재취업 확률을 유의하게 높이는 효과를 가진다. 그러나 훈련내용은 재취업 확률에 유의하게 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 훈련 참여자가 수강한 훈련 관련분야로의 재취업은 매우 미흡한 것으로 조사되었다. 이는 실업자재취직훈련이 노동시장에서의 이탈을 억제하여 재취업을 촉진하는 효과를 가지지만, 취업능력의 제고를 통한 안정적인 일자리로의 재취업이라는 적극적 노동시장정책의 수행에는 아직 미흡함을 시사한다.

보건간호인력 교육훈련 현황과 발전 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development Plan of Education & Training for Public Health Nursing Personnel)

  • Purpose: This study evaluated the education and training for public health nursing personnel and we suggest a development plan for their education and training. Methods: The data was collected from the annual planning reports of the Department of Health and Welfare Training in the Korea National Institute of Health from 1985 to 2004. Results: The summary of problems on the education and training included 1) unspecific educational goals and objectives, 2) a shortage of education and training programs for improving practical skills and knowledge on health promotion and chronic disease management, and 3) ineffective teaching methods based on lecture. In order to overcome these problems, education & training for public health nursing personnel should 1) establish dear and specific goals and objectives, 2) develop educational programs that focus on the trainee's needs and develop a long term educational program for reinforcing practical competency along with elementary courses for novices & advanced courses for experts, 3) utilize effective teaching methods such as case study, e-learning and applied learning programs. Conclusion: The education and training for public health nursing personnel should be improved in order to reinforce their competency and their ability to cope with the changing health care environment of the 21st century.
