The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of assertiveness training and value clarification training on nurse's conflict and conflict management mode. Fifty seven registered nurses participated in the study ; they were employed by three general hospital located in Daegu, Korea. The study employs two treatment groups. The assertiveness training group consisted of subjects who participated in 90-120 minutes sessions of assertiveness training nine times over five weeks. The other treatment group, was adiministed nine, 90-120 minutes sessions of value clarification during the same period. For the control group, nursing subjects were appointed the training after five weeks. Pre-test evaluation were administered to all subjects in three groups prior to one week of the treatment. Role conflict Inventory-general(RCI-G) and Communication Conflict Inventory-general (CCI-G) measure nurse's conflict management mode. Post-test evaluation were administered to all subjects in three groups two weeks after the last session by Role Conflict Inventory-Specific(RCI-S), Communication Conflict Inventory-Specific (CCI-S), Management Model-Specific(CMMI-S). The analysis of variance(ANOVA) and covariance(ANCOVA) on gain scores were running the SPSS program. In order to test statistical differences among mean scores of the scales obtained after treatment, multiple comparisons were carried out by Turkey method. Conclusions obtained from the results are as follows. 1. The assertiveness training and the value clarification training were effective in decreasing the nurse's role conflict. The value clarification was more effective than the assertiveness training in decreasing the nurse's role conflict. 2. Both assertiveness training and value clarification training were effective in decreasing nurse's communication conflict. There was, however, no differences between assertiveness training and value clarification training in decreasing the nurse's communication conflict. 3. The assertiveness training and the value clarification training were quite effective in compromizing and collaborating conflict management mode, to reducing the withdrawl and accomodate, force and accomodate conflict management mode to conflict. There was no difference in the effectiveness of assertiveness training and value clarification. In assessing the effects of the treatments, this study employed different measurements. It is unclear whether the measurement affected the test results. It is worth conducting a further test using the same measurements. The results of future studies can be compared with those of this study. The homogeneity of the control group and treatment group is questionable. Futher studies may employ homogeneous sample group to evaluate whether the sample characteristics bias the test results. Assertiveness training or value clarification training for nurses can be utilized in nursing intervention.

A quantitative evaluation of postural balance training using a virtual reality bicycle system was performed. In the experiment, the effectiveness of virtual reality bicycle system on postural balance training was analyzed with four male subjects in their twenties. The parameters measured during cycling were cycling time, average velocity, number of times subject deviated from path, and weight shift. Those parameters were evaluated for the quantification of the extent of control. We also measured the parameters on postural control capability after 5th trial and 10th trial in a balance testing system with a force plate to find out the effectiveness of the training. In the balance test with force plate, it was found out that the weight shift was almost zero and the deviation from the target trace reduced significantly after the training with the virtual cycle. The result showed that the virtual bicycle system was an effective system as a rehabilitation training device.

Screening of fifteen bivoltine silkworm breeds of Bombyx mori Linn at a temperature of $31{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ and relative humidity of 85${\pm}$5% resulted in the identification of eight thermo-tolerant breeds. The survival and cocoon shell ratio of the tolerant breeds ranged from 72.7 to 78.7% and 20.0 to 20.1% respectively. The tolerant breeds comprised of four oval breeds and four dumb-bell breeds. Eight foundation crosses prepared by crossing the oval and dumb-bell parents among themselves were screened at a temperature of $31{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ and relative humidity of 85{\pm}5%. The performance of the foundation crosses on 11 economic characters were analysed by employing Multipie Trait Evaluation Index method. Four foundation crosses which scored average index value > 50 were selected as breeding parents and breeding initiated for the evolution of thermo-tolerant bivoltine silkworm breeds. The methodology and the results of the foundation crosses reared both at 31{\pm}1$^{\circ}C$ and at $25{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ temperatures, are discussed.
Fixed-dose combinations development requires pharmacokinetic drugdrug interaction (DDI) studies between active ingredients. For some drugs, pharmacokinetic properties such as long half-life or delayed distribution, make it difficult to conduct such clinical trials and to estimate the exact magnitude of DDI. In this study, the conventional (non-compartmental analysis and bioequivalence [BE]) and model-based analyses were compared for their performance to evaluate DDI using amlodipine as an example. Raw data without DDI or simulated data using pharmacokinetic models were compared to the data obtained after concomitant administration. Regardless of the methodology, all the results fell within the classical BE limit. It was shown that the model-based approach may be valid as the conventional approach and reduce the possibility of DDI overestimation. Several advantages (i.e., quantitative changes in parameters and precision of confidence interval) of the model-based approach were demonstrated, and possible application methods were proposed. Therefore, it is expected that the model-based analysis is appropriately utilized according to the situation and purpose.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the six-week educare practicum revised in 2017 and perception of the effects of the change on public child care training centers. Methods: Surveys were conducted on the directors and teachers from national public child care centers within Seoul. And in-depth interviews were conducted on six participants. Results: Firstly, public child care training centers had generally received trainees through industry-academy partnership schools, and had planned to receive the same number of trainees as in the previous system. They had trained according to their planned program, and self-evaluation had also been conducted on a regular basis. Additionally, they perceived that the quality control of the centers was carried out by the trainees. Secondly, they perceived that the new system would improve the professionalism of the teachers and have a positive effect on their personality issues and the reliability of the evaluation accreditation institute. Hence, it was believed that it would help to develop the professional knowledge and qualifications of first-time teachers. Conclusion/Implications: The results showed that the public child care training centers recognized that the six-week educare practicum would enhance the professionalism and quality of teachers, and the child care operation management.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to select a cognitive training game that can evaluate five cognitive domains and to study their validity with existing cognitive evaluation tools. Design: Methods: Delphi survey was conducted through the 2nd questionnaire for 30 experts to select games suitable for training 5 cognitive domains. Five cognitive training games and Mini Mental State Examination - Korea(MMSE-K), and cognitive impairment screening test(CIST) were conducted for 82 elderly in the community. Pearson correlation analysis was performed to find out the correlation of the three tests. The ROC curve was used to calculate the selection criteria for the game results for the screening evaluation of the presence or absence of mild cognitive impairment. Results: The coefficient of variation to evaluate the stability of the Delphi survey was less than 0.50 in most game items. The 'correct answers' and 'level' of the five final selected game items showed a statistically significant positive correlation with the CIST and MMSE-K scores. CIST score and 'time' of all game items except 'number making_time' showed a statistically significant negative correlation. Conclusions: The validity of the cognitive training program using smart devices was evaluated, and the criteria for classifying the cognitive domain and distinguishing the presence or absence of cognitive impairment were confirmed.
This study examined the extent of improvement of food safety knowledge and practices of employee through food safety training. Employee knowledge and practice for food safety were evaluated before and after the food safety training program. The training program and questionnaires for evaluating employee knowledge and practices concerning food safety, and a checklist for determining food safety performance of restaurants were developed. Data were analyzed using the SPSS program. Twelve restaurants participated in this study. We split them into two groups: the intervention group with training, and the control group without food safety training. Employee knowledge of the intervention group also showed a significant improvement in their score, increasing from 49.3 before the training to 66.6 after training. But in terms of employee practices and the sanitation performance, there were no significant increases after the training. From these results, we recommended that the more job-specific and hand-on training materials for restaurant employees should be developed and more continuous implementation of the food safety training and integration of employee appraisal program with the outcome of safety training were needed.

This study aims to provide information necessary for developing a "Competency-Based Training and Evaluation Plan" for general aviation flight instructors in Korea. General aviation training experts designed a survey by selecting "Behavior Indicators" from the ICAO Flight Instructor Competency Model. This study analyses the importance of Behavioral Indicators, the level of instructor performance, and the training needs for flight instructors. According to the factor analysis, ICAO "Flight Instructor Competency Model" is found as a valid tool to measure general aviation flight instructor competencies. According to the training needs analysis, flight instructors training program needs to be improved on "Training Environment Management", "Teaching Method", and "Interaction" competencies. When compared with trainee group, flight instructors & examiners have a higher training demand for "Teaching & Learning Environment Management". This study suggests the flight instructor training program requires to be reorganized based on the competencies related to the flight instructor duties in the training environments.

Teacher reeducation is required to be comfortable with the 'Integrated science' subject as introduced in the 2015 revised curriculum. In this research, we designed in-service teacher training programs according to the types of secondary school science teacher's certificates, and developed ways to improve in-service science teachers' competencies. Through Delphi surveys with 22 science education experts, we investigated the features of the 2015 revised 'Integrated science' curriculum in light of its characteristics, purposes, contents system, contents, and so on, and explored teachers' competencies to teach the subject. Based on the analysis of the features of each type of secondary school science teachers' certification and required teacher competencies for teaching 'Integrated science', we developed three types of teacher training programs: in-service training courses for understanding the 2015 revised 'Integrated science' (Type A), in-service training courses for 'Integrated science' (Type B), and in-service teacher training certificate program for 'Integrated science' (Type C). For each teacher training program, we suggested the target of the training program in light of teacher certificates, operation systems, and ways to organize the program. In addition, we also suggested ways to improve 'Integrated science' teacher education programs for pre-service as well as in-service teachers, and examined ways to improve educational requirements for qualification in 'Integrated science' teaching based on the opinions of experts. Discussed in the conclusion are ways to design in-service teacher training programs for 'Integrated science' teaching and ways to improve 'Integrated science' teacher training.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the simulation-based professional cardiac resuscitation training on the performance of professional cardiac resuscitation performed by paramedics in the pre-hospital stage and to provide basic data for effective cardiac resuscitation. This study is an experimental study of the design before and after the control of non-equality. The subjects of this study were 16 newly recruited paramedics from K firefighting school. The simulation training program and evaluation papers used as the evaluation tool were reviewed and commented by 6 ACLS simulation experts (2 emergency medical doctor, 2 emergency medical professors, 2 KALS instructors)Respectively. The training consisted of 30 minutes of theory and 150 minutes of practical training. The lecturer first demonstrated for 5 minutes, and after training by individual debriefing after individual training, individual and team education was conducted The evaluation scale was given a 5 - point Likert scale. The SPSS 22.0 program for Windows was used. The general characteristics of the subjects were analyzed for frequency, the examination of homogeneity between the experimental group and the control group wasfulfilled by t test, and the difference test between the groups of the two groups was performed using the paired t-test. The homogeneity test was able to confirm the homogeneity between experimental group and control group. In the evaluation of six ACLS techniques, it was proven that the experimental group that received the simulation training had better performance in all aspects than the non - training control group. The following are the technical items to be performed. 1. Electrocardiogram 2. Specialized instrument 3. Treatment of fluid 4. Leadership and teamwork 5. Medical guidance 6. Evaluation during transfer. It was proved that paramedics who received simulation training were improved on their job performance ability than general lecture and training group. Therefore, if simulation training and education are applied to a student in the synthetic course or an emergency resident who is engaged in clinical practice, he / she will be able to perform his / her duties more proficiently. It is expected that emergency services provided to patients with cardiac arrest will be improved.
