Noise barrier is used for noise reduction method of traffic noise. The length and the total cost of that are increased in this national area. But, a maintenance management of noise barrier is not systematic, and the guideline of that is not prepared for maintenance mannual. The situations of existed installation and management of noise barriers installed at 3,619 positions were investigated by questionnarie and direct field survey. And comparisons with foreign management guideline of noise barrier were carried out. The results show that the improvement methods of maintenance management system such as practical checklist and required items for management of noise barrier were suggested.

In recent years, automobiles have evolved from simple transportation to convergence devices, and have combined the Internet of things, high-speed communications, and artificial intelligence technologies to provide people with social and cultural benefits. To provide services such as a smart traffic analysis, autonomous driving, and unmanned driving, automobiles applying these technologies are required to perform various types of sensing and image analyses for vehicle recognition and distance measurements. addition, there has been a rapid increase in the need to introduce an automotive Ethernet, that can provide a wide bandwidth to support. such technologies. In this article, we survey the latest trends in automotive Ethernet based automobiles and their security threats, and analyze the status and prospects of security technologies applied to cope with them.

This study is to find out the residents' attitudes for the components of home environment. This study proceeded with purposes 1) to define the components which are used to evaluate home environment and 2) to suggest the profile of home environment by analyzing the rate of significance and consideration for them. A survey was conducted by 511 housewives who live in Pusan, and analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, factor analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe's test. The major findings are as follows: 1) The 16 elements were selected as the components which are used to evaluate home environment. 2) As for residents' attitudes, the profile of the rate of significance and consideration for the components showed generally high as over 3.0(mean) in all elements. 3) A comfortable environments, safety, housing atmosphere, traffic environments and educational environments were found out as elements that were very significantly recognized and considered in the profile. 4) As for residents' attitudes according to housing and household characteristics, there was a difference in a few elements.

Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) is considered to be the most promising transfer technique for BISDN due to its efficiency and flexibility. Queueing theory has been playing a very important role in performance evaluation of ATM for the past few years. This paper is composed of two parts. The first part is concerned with the several basic concepts of ATM. The second part surveys queueing approaches in ATM performance evaluation. It deals with stochastic models which have been proposed for the three basic categories of traffic sources (voice, data, video), various queueing models for statistical multiplexer and switch, and priority strategies for buffer control schemes.

In this study, for purpose of searching for measures to lower the logistics costs which is one of the most difficulties for the small-medium sized manufacturers in Pusan and Kimhae, those manufacturers were surveyed with questionnaire about the facts in the export logistics costs, difficulties related to the costs, and measures they thought for lowering the cost. Taking account of findings from the survey, the comprehensive measures of saving the export logistics costs were to be proposed. In the surveyed manufacturers, the problems they thought over export logistics costs lied in short logistics information and transportation-related difficulties in cargo and distribution, insufficient standardization in packaging and the shortage of material handling equipments in unloading. In transportation, frequent non-fulfillment of in-time shipment, cost increase including over consumption of transportation time due to traffic jam, and the biased heavy use of inland transportation were pointed out as problems. In customs clearance, logistics information, and marine insurance, addressed were complexity in custom clearance and bonded transportation procedures, and the shortage of software and hardware to construct logistics information system.

Environmental noise raises serious problems in our ciries. Noise reduces the preformance task, and occasionially causes the physiological problems such as nervous strain, headache etc. This study is to investigate the environmental noise of elementary school classrooms in attempt to probide the basis of appropriate sound performance standards. Field interview survey with a total of 369 subjects in 3 elementary schools and simultaneously measurements of noise level have been made. The results of study show that the A-weighted noise level is in excess of the criteria recommended by I.S.O. and 69% of the subjects are annoyed by the environmental noises : in particular traffic ; and market noises.

This paper makes a trial to build the model of car-following in the state of starting to stable driving on the basic of driver's knowledge that is easily characterized by linguistical cognition. There are three main steps in building the model. Firstly, each driver's rule of three testees is studied in linguistical experssion by the interview and questionary surveys that are repeated once a day for ten days. Secondly, quantification of the linguistical expression is investigated by driving experiments that includes the questionary survey to the testee in the test vehicle, and the membership functions of variables of rule are obtained. Thirdly, implicaton and composition of fuzzy inference is made by Max-Min Methods and defuzzification by gravity method. It can be said that the proposed model of car-following based on driver's knowledge is practically allpicable to the estimation of drivering of car-following on trunk roads in urban area.

Mobile Internet interface needs to be concise and compressed because of the size of terminals Thus mobile internal service wants integrated portal service We study the service strategy for mobile internet portal Service according to the product life cycle Many Korean people who have used 'wired and fixed' Internet services and mobile phones want the mobile Internet portal to provide many attractive functions and high quality of service Thus we consider the current Korean mobile Internet service as the maturity phase of its life cycle The maturity phase needs the strategy of diversifying and focusing on, thus we recommend the hub portal model for Korean mobile Internet service, In this paper, we survey contents of mobile Internet portal service as a case study. With the result of the analysis, we present the promising contents as follows: video conference service, financial service, stock trading service, traffic information service, location map service, emergency rescue service, and so on.

Starting from 2005, as the new city paradigm, the term 'u-City' was created in Korea. U-City service, as defined in "u-City law", is a service that connects and intermediates among government, traffic, welfare, environment, disaster mitigation, etc., and their data based on ubiquitous city technology and infrastructure. According to the survey executed by local governments, the improvements in the standard of living of citizens have in turn increased the needs for anti-mitigation services. Such trend is bolstered with the recent disasters such as the conflagration of Korean Soong-rae Gate and the devastating earthquake of Sichuan province. This article describes a concept of the u-City disaster prevention service and looks into the activities and planning of u-City disaster prevention service of local governments. This paper also briefly looks into the law and policies to derive the needs of u-City disaster prevention service as well as the current technologies and u-City disaster prevention services of local governments. Ultimately, this paper offers the strategic direction of developing u-Disaster Prevention City.

Powerline communication is the data signal which is modulated by carrier frequency through the installed powerline at in-home or office is transmitted and received signals are separated into data signal with using band-pass filter which cent-frequency is carrier frequency. The home gateway, an equipment which works as an gateway for ubiquitous home network, relays all functions of a home network. The home gateway must always be connected in order to provide seamless services. However it gives unfavorable power consumption. Therefore the needs for working in maximum power saving mode while there is no data traffic and for invoking to the normal function when it is necessary. So, in this paper we survey the development of low power PLC modem monitoring of power consumption and breaking abnormal power in the home Network.
